I binge watched all of Steven universe over the weekend. It was good stuff. It's worst quality is that there is not yet more of it, which is also the quality that got me to watch it in the first place, so *shrug*

I heard a bit about that over the weekend, and noticed it was made by someone who used to work on Adventure Time. I'll have to add it to the list once I get caught up on stuff, and have free time to binge-watch cartoons again.

Hopefully everyone had a nice weekend. I cooked myself something similar to chili sin carne, and had a new GURPS campaign start that I could give a recap of if people want to hear about it.
*sigh* People are having GURPS campaign... *sigh*
...what's wrong with GURPS ?

Only that I don't get to play it or GM it, having no one around here that would share my love for it.

My local ice cream shop has a shake they call key lime fusion. It's lime and vanilla homemade ice cream mixed with an actual piece of key lime pie. It is supernaturally delicious.

I don't care for key lime pie but...that sounds good.

Happy St Patrick's Day to you all, and happy St. Patrick's Day to all the people staggering around town wearing ginger chinstrap beards and Guinness-branded leprechaun hats, too, some of whom may actually be slightly Irish.

I love Guinness.

It is an important part of my culture. Rum punch is given to children in many Caribbean countries to batten them up when they seem weak physically. As I was premature, I drank a lot of rum punch.

It's a Puccini kind of day. Now I want to learn Italian.

Gotta love WQXR.

So do I! Guinness Foreign Extra (the 6-7% stuff) is even nicer than regular Guinness, too - IMO, anyway.

Have you ever drunk Dragon Stout?

I had one once I think -it's been a while. I will look for it.

Morning.

I dreamed of going for a convention. For a strange reason a part of the way was through a dwarven caves and down the ice-cold underground river (with pieces of ice in it).

There was also a dream of staying in a quite nice house that was partly dug in the hill.

The remaining dreams fled my memory when I was waking up :(

... so, the River Neris in winter?

(Or "Wilia" to you polish folk!)

EDIT: HOLY CARP, I WAS CORRECT! (I really thought I'd remembered that wrong...)

As someone who loves both the composer and the language, Puccini is a good reason to learn Italian.

Also, move to NY. I can get WQXR on the radio!

I am back at work, and there is too much to do.

However, that particular flag also represents our Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish brothers and sisters. The flag of Merrye Olde Yngland is This Or possibly This

Thanks:) i knew it looked different in a way, was in a rush to get the wife from work, however that actually works much better as i have a welsh-irish heritage anyway (and it turns out i'm terrible with flags:-p)

And its pretty bold to wear any flag on your trousers:-p
The Welsh flag's the coolest. It's got a dragon on it!

Remember when they let the internet try to design a new flag for the UK to incorporate the dragon?

Couldn't find DA: Awakening at the store, so I picked up a used copy of DA2 for around $12. So far, I'm extremely pleased with my decision.

Stay safe, Freehold. Get someone else to drive, and enjoy the buzz while it lasts (but don't hurt yourself). :D

I'm having pizza for breakfast.

I cooked up some chili con carne (sort of, I didn't use a recipe) minus the meat.

Made so much of the stuff yesterday that I don't need to worry about food for a few days.

I have tons of pics I didn't post, actually. Everything from ny Ponycon to being out with mom to Ringling Bros to...well, crotchless panties.

Wow. I fit my mom and crotchless panties into the same sentence. Yay!

Have no idea if you've ever heard of them, but, via Dungeons & Doritos, I a) learned what burlesque shows were (after a... Google... seeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaarrrrrrch? Uh... huh. õ.O) and b) learned of a specific one named "Epic Win Burlesque" (one, er two, well one, sort of, player is apparently part of that show; her name is "Lefty Lucy").

As I do not patronize such things, but I thiiiiiiiiink (?) they're in your area and you do attend such things, I mention them, as they are purported to do exceptionally nerdy things as part of their shows. You may well be interested.

If you are, and you meet or know anyone, you can tell them that I sent you. (She has officially errata'd her character to have a feather in her hat after some really terrible fan-art I sent in to D&D quite some time back, so that's really awesome.)

Is it good or bad? (recalling your past family issues...)

Oh, I don't mean my parents' house. I mean the first house I moved into with my roommate.

I probably forgot to tell you guys about how me and my roommate had to move to another house while the old one was being renovated.

But for me, moving back to that house is a good thing, so long as they didn't remove the lock on my door. My roommate has a bad habit of barging in without knocking...

Good luck!

If they removed it, about how much will it cost to have it reinstalled? I guess you can block it off with a chair or something in the meantime, but that's hardly an optimal solution.

Thanks, I might just need it considering how flimsy my desk seems to be at times!

And unless I browsed for the wrong type of lock just now, it appears to cost around 100 euros.

Me and my brother had a lock in our own room when we were kids. We lost all its keys of course...

I've been lucky enough to get all the desks I've ever owned from someone who didn't need them anymore.
