Dear Awesome and Amazing Customer Service People!

A notice of shipment was sent for this order on Saturday.

It is now Wednesday and there has been no status updates via the delivery method, and they suggested reaching out to the shipper.

If the contents weren't of a timely concern (PF2E) I'd wait a bit more patiently, but there is concern that the shipment 'fell off a truck' AFTER it was delivered to the shipping service.

Thank you very much for your time in advance!

The section for Paizo Inc.: Season 2: Year of a Thousand Bites (Starfinder Season 2) is currently jammed way up by Paizo Inc.: Season 0 (Pathfinder 1st).

It took a phone call and careful searching by the Customer Service Team to find a Season 2 Starfinder Scenario as a result, as the location is beyond counter-intuitively located.

Pathfinder Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Exactly what it says on the tin, I waited a few days to try and enter it after PaizoCon, and it is showing as 'Code not recognized'.

I have tried entering this code three times now, but it is far too late/early to call Customer Service.

Erik Keith asked me to post when I talked to him at PaizoCon about my concern with the forums of the past few months, namely that a good chunk of them are 'greyed out' and refuse to either be Focused or Shown or otherwise marked to move them to 'providing updates of activity'

This has caiused a significant quality of life/use issue with the forums and related store and other items.

This undocumented feature occurs whether Oladon's tools are active or not.

I am on Mozilla FireFox 60.7.0esr, running on Windows 7.1.

Thank you very much for your time in advance, and if this post needs to be moved elsewhere please do so.

This is more for folks who live in the Seattle area, so I can pack as lightly but appropriately as possible for the weekend.

What has the weather been like the past few weeks, and are the numbers of mid-70s that NOAA is predicting reasonably accurate?

I know to bring some raingear, this is more 'heavy/medium/light jacket' and 'sweatshirts?' etc considerations.

...simply put, half my threads that I'd normally post in at some point or another are 'hidden', despite the fact I never hid them.

'Show'ing the thread paradoxically had the reverse effect, hiding even MORE of the threads.

So the question of the thread here is:

How do I restore my forum settings to 'default' 'show everything' so I can go back and hide the stuff that I do not follow and keep the stuff I do follow showing up?

Thank you very much for your time in advance!

Pathfinder Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

For some reason, despite the fact that I am not hiding the SFS forum, the updates to threads are NOT appearing, and the site is declaring that the campaign is 'hidden'.

Not sure if anyone else is having this concern, but felt it should be mentioned.

I'm on Windows 7.1, Mozilla Firefox 60.3.0esr

There have been concerns raised about 'having too many mouths to feed' with the 'cantina feel' approach to GM Convention/RSP boons.

Would it be possible to produce a Boon that instead of offering that (either on the same sheet as the race boon, or as a separate Boon?) offer a 'level-up' instead?

There'd be the benefit of not having to re-play a lot of 'repeatables' to mitigate 'running out of content' while helping GMs by compensating for the time they GM.

Please help me refine this idea, I think it has merit?

Sovereign Court

I was an active member of an Ironfang Invasion campaign on the boards.

We went on hiatus, and now the site is refusing to acknowledge that I was ever a part of said Campaign.

Dot and delete did not restore link.

Action is supposed to resume on the 13th, but will be kind of iffy if this isn't fixed somehow.

Thank you very much for your time in advance.

What recourse or solution is there for a scenario one has played in, but for any of a number of reasonable valid reasons the GM has not provided a chronicle?

I am not talking about an un-reported event, though -- in that case the answer is pretty and painfully obvious.

Also, not speaking in specific yet, as there are any number of reasonable valid causes for this breakdown to occur.

I noticed a PbP post and I also noticed this last year at an in-person game at a convention.

Do the repeatable Quest packs (Into the Unknown, Ashes of Discovery, Dreaming of the Future) REQUIRE the use of pregen characters?

If so, how does the credit for them apply for a character that's out of subtier?

If not, may we please have a clarification on this?

This order was picked up, paid for, and may be safely adjusted to 'Complete' status.

Thank you very much to the store team for having the satellite station outside the Sagamore and fully staffed at all operational times!

I realize things are CRAZY with GenCon going on in just a few short days, but this order has been stuck at 'Pending' since July 12th.

At this point, is there any way to switch it to convention pick-up?

Thank you very much for your time!

Is it out of place to start a thread here with feedback of what was good and what was a bit bumpy at PaizoCon 2018?

I'd like to get it rolling before my memory is too trashed to remember the important stuff.

Biggest thing: HUGE thanks to Jeff Alvarez for getting the hotel staff on board with food sensitivities and allergens. That was a tremendous help at the Banquet!

Greetings!

I haven't been able to secure lodging within a six block radius of the convention center and I am GMing for PFS in four time-blocks this year.

At this time, I do not feel capable of doubling that workload to qualify for access to a room.

My GMing would be sub-par and my health *would* suffer greatly if I did take on that extra, based on previous years of 'marathon' GM experience with other campaigns.

Are there any lucky or fortunate souls that happen to have bed-space in their (within a half-mile) convention block room in Downtown Indy for GenCon 2018 that need a room-mate?

I am willing to pay a fair share for the room, and buy a meal for the lucky point person coordinating said room.

Thank you very much for your time in advance!

EDIT: I *did* crunch the numbers, the closest I could get to 'covering a room with volunteering' would be 7 blocks... which is one short of what is needed under the current rules.

I have a few points of concern regarding tables I ran and then were reported (or not) at PaizoCon 2018.

When I attempted to click 'Report a problem', I got a horribly long error message and something about it not being a Win32 thing.

Who is the point of contact I should be reaching out to?

Thank you very much for your time in advance!

Pathfinder Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

When I checked in to the Hilton today, they applied a $300 deposit on the room. ($50/night)

Thought folks should be aware. :(

Is it acceptable as a GM if you have a phobia with a particular statted creature to use a surrogate description that has the same stats/weaknesses/etc for a given encounter?

It's 'reskinning' in a way, but it'd make my mental health a lot better?

Please may we avoid further discussion on the 'Paladin' class until such a time as the Blog is released?

More of those threads have been locked than any other that I've seen, and it's really making this a toxic and unwelcoming place.

Thank goodness for Chronicles and the ability to purchase whatever loot the team encounters (provided it's on the sheet).

At a recent convention, a different but contemporary organized play (which did not have such an AWESOME system) had reached the end of their 'module' and were 'trying to sort out the loot' at a nearby table.

There were raised voices in that direction, strong words aimed at players, and a general negative 'vibe'.

In addition, because it was the last slot of the convention, if the 'loot' wasn't something they could use, they'd have to wait until the middle of the *next* convention to 'cash it in for exchange'.

Once again, thank goodness for Chronicle sheets and their accessibility options!

I was aware of the benefits, I have been playing since 2014. But sometimes situations like this one that bring it fully into focus.

I've been trying to piece together a way to give a Nuar Shadow casting capabilities (for a given flavor of character) and I've had a heck of a time trying to figure it out.

For some reason, the PaizoCon 2018 forums button has been linking me to the front page rather than the PaizoCon forums.

It is an undocumented design feature that can be repeated, and the forums can be reached via the forum drop-down for all forums but it is a bit of a kludgy work-around.

To whom it may concern;

In PF2, we have a chance and a choice to move past binary distinctions in completion of Scenarios.

Could we PLEASE have scenarios that are not hard-coded 'This or That' type solutions to morally grey considerations like:

Spoiler:
Red Harvest(which NPC do you back, pick ONE), Bacon Below(which one do you end?), Forged in Flame 1(which Exchange method do you use?), Destiny of the Sands 3(Quick, Pick the new leader of your faction of the two present!)

and actually allow for agency of the characters to address the scenario via Creative Means?

I understand that sometimes to writing up the tough choices that Pathfinders have to make is a neat literary goal, but having such exclusive and mandatory decisions leaves a very rotten feeling in one's gut and makes the game not-fun, especially if a table is divided on the course that MUST happen.

It effectively encourages passive-aggressive PvP -- not with actions, but with words when boiled to the barest of bones.

I know the original design concept (at least as I was drawing from it) was that the First Seeker spot would open up on a 'seasonal' basis.

If that was in error, please accept apologies in advance.

However, the request is related to this -- would it be possible to have the same First Seeker for a few 'seasons', please, because there is simply NOT enough time to play all the scenarios that the faction would involve in one year for those who don't have as much access to the campaign?

Thank you very much for your time in advance!

Though the temptation will undoubtedly be strong to do so, humbly request that the Themes for Pact Worlds are not put behind a Boon unlock -- one of them is *perfect* for one of my characters and they've already had to go through one Boon unlock for their Race.

Shifters are proficient with Pointy Stick (Shortspear) and Slightly Longer Pointy Stick (Spear) but don't appear to be proficient with Longer Pointy Stick (Longspear).

Is this an oversight or an undocumented design feature, and if it is not a design feature, could we please get a clarification as it would be nice to have at least one weapon with Reach for circumstances where a Shifter may not want to be toe-to-toe with an opponent?

Thank you for your time in advance!

This is very important.

Could we PLEASE not shut down discussion by saying 'Well, it's your game, you can run it however you want?'.

I have seen no less than three playtests fail miserably because there were all these 'quick work-arounds' and 'local fixes' that didn't address underlying CORE mechanics of games that needed to be fixed from the get-go.

We're building a new game together, let's look at it fully and see what needs to be done to make it happen, please?

Pathfinder Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

If a class is the source of consistent violation of community guidelines even in a reasoned and polite discussion, is it valid to continue to have the class in the game material?

Several recent threads about a particular class (removed here to keep the tone neutral) went to a very dark place and it was uncertain if it was a deliberate effort to submarine any discussion about said class or legitimate questioning (albeit rather disturbing).

If we cannot discuss the topic of a class when it is something very important to the very fundamentals of the class (see PF1 Shifter), should we have the class in the game if it is going to be that divisive in discussion?

Should the class perhaps be saved for a future supplement instead, when cooler heads have prevailed?

I know there's an argument for tradition on one side of this, but there's also the Community Guidelines and using them to leverage the discussion in favor of tradition (or the removal of said traditions) is not a conducive way to have a positive discussion.

EDIT: Please note! Do NOT mention the class in question in subsequent discussion, as it is a divisive topic and detrimental to the fundamental and basic questions above.

Thank you very much for your time in advance!

To whom it may concern:

Paizo has made a significant effort to keep their product lines inclusive of various sorts of play and mitigate exclusive choices while keeping them available as a GM option.

In such light, respectfully request that the relics and artifacts of previous editions such as mandatory class alignment be discarded -- This does not change what a class is, it opens up play to a broader base of character options and also enables Organized Play to not have to micro-manage alignment nearly as much as proponents of some classes might imagine.

In addition, by removing alignment requirements from classes (not from the game) it also allows the narrower version of ideals to be implemented at the local GM level, with the broader and more inclusive material available.

Let us not repeat the mistakes of previous editions, where we were blinded by exclusion and restriction via an artificial ethical/moral perspective, and instead move forwards into a new era where player choice and agency matters, and where folks will not be obligated to go to CNINO or LGINO methods to ensure character compliance with written text.

Thank you very much for your time in advance!

P.S.: This suggestion would not and should not impact codes of conduct that various classes have.

Perhaps I'm not seeing them, perhaps they haven't come through the public section and have only been hitting VO/etc threads... but which blog had the announcement about RSP shifting to Aassimar/Tiefling and have there been other ones that have been lost in the 'white noise' surrounding PF2?

This is probably the least-likely possibility, but it merits bringing up here as well as the other thread I brought it up in...

There are several scenarios that were retired in 1.0 PFS.

If we are moving to a lack - of - new - content era for 1.0 PFS, is there a problem with bringing all the scenarios that have been retired out of retirement?

Sure, some of the story isn't quite up to date, but some of the other scenarios that weren't retired suffer from the same problem.

Some of the earlier scenarios are downright lethal... but that would appeal to those who have clamored for 'Hard Moad' for years.

Please give this consideration as we move forwards to a new era.

...a huge deal has been made of how goblins are going to be a playable race in the new 2.0 Pathfinder.

This is a race that in-canon is terrified of written words and by nature is disruptive and doesn't work well together save with others of their race. They are hardly the perfect fit (unless a lot of plot shenanigans happen) for a Society that prides itself on Explore *REPORT* Cooperate.

Look to 1.0 and all the illiterate classes more or less being banned for insight in this direction.

The thing that has brought me over to Pathfinder Society has been tengu.

No other big organized play really has them.

Respectfully request that tengu be made available at earliest convenience in 2.0, before even tieflings or aasimar or other races.

Thank you very much for your time in advance.

EDIT: In 1.0 Tengu had modifiers to Perception and a signficant modifier to Linguistics. These, even if translated, would be a far better fit for a society that's built around exploration of strange new places.

To whom it may concern,

I was going to cancel before the recent announcement of a Second Edition.

Please cancel my Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Subscription (for the time being, at least) as I do not need another GM book that I will hardly use.

The recent announcement reminded me this needed to be done, but this should not be taken as a vote of no confidence, but rather a definition of personal needs and resources.

As per the request of the forum moderators, to present focused and direct threads that aren't 'circling around' 'waiting' for 'game updates', I am creating this new thread to discuss the issues and concerns revolving around Druidic Wild Shape and Shifter Wild Shape.

Currently, as written, the Shifter Wild Shape is an underpowered version of Druidic Wild Shape, and there hasn't been clarification on the interaction of the two types as of last I heard, at least.

In such a vein, there were several thoughts going through the 'Changes to Shifter' thread regarding this secondary ability (for Druids) and crucial primary ability for Shifters.

With this preamble aside, what are the opinions on the Wild Shape conundrum?

Is there a preference to see them all work like a Druid?

Is there a stronger preference to perhaps change the Druid's Wild Shape (as well as any other class with such a function) to the Shifter version, for play balance reasons?

Should Aspects even factor into Wild Shape, or should they be their own thing?

Thank you very much for your time in advance!

Pathfinder Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

As is the typical luck of this particular convention, they lack the appropriate space in a few block walking distance to the convention.

Since they changed the rules in the past couple of years to prevent 'room-swapping' and even 'room re-assignment', it makes even thoughtful individuals who had a room but no longer need it unable to easily transfer a room to another individual in need.

With the preamble aside, I will be heading to Gen Con this year.

I volunteered to GM and I'll do what is needed to make that happen but this old bird doesn't have the energy to GM the entire convention like they used to.

IF there are other individuals who are seeking a room-mate that is heading down on Tuesday and leaving on Monday, please do contact me. Sleeping on the floor is not an issue with an appropriate amount of bedding.

This is a pre-emptive post, as I will be exploring Creative Solutions Not illegal or disallowed items, however as well, but getting this out and in the open first to a community I trust and respect first seemed a no-brainer.

Thank you very much for your time and patience in advance!

What would be the best way to model a soldier that has an Engineering background and can do basic spot-repairs an the like?

Multi-class into Mechanic?

Is there a Theme that could solidly support this?
