One other thing I wanted to check, Cillian has the talent:

Deflecting Shield: Your shield bonus to AC applies against touch attacks.

I was wondering whether this would apply to firearms or not? I realise I don't meet the ballistics criteria but it might be a pretty lackluster talent in this setting without it, in which case I'd swap it back for the base sphere ability.

Hi Yorick, thanks for OKing the idea! Simeon and I are working on our PCs and I was wondering if you would be ok with the idea of us getting a bonus talent every 2 levels (so 2, 4, 6, etc.) to help with breadth of power a little bit? Just so that we can cover a few more bases as only 2 PCs. Thanks!

Putting my name out there for possible pairing, I am keen to play a Spheres game with someone with a good mix of combat and RP, possibly with some investigating or mystery as the core plot thread? Worldbuilding and exploration but with a more urban bent. Let me know if anyone is interested.


Pact Magic is available on the Spheres wiki on the right hand side. It is an expanded version of the 3.5 Binder class if you are familiar with that.


Just querying, are you Ok with both Spheres of Power and Spheres of Might, or only Power? The setting looks intriging, keen to see where we go from here!


Hi everyone! Seems like a lot of comraderie here already but I'll throw my name in the mix, love some Spheres and I can't let a game go past that allows it. I've got some thoughts that I'm ruminating on for a character, so I'll continue to do that.

In that case count me 100% in! Lets see if we can drum up some more interest. I can't hack it as a GM but I'm always keen to give someone new to it the opportunity!

What is Vissiall's main motivation?: He knows he was destined for greatness, and he wants to realise that greatness. He has a great ambition for power, tempered by his ethical knowledge and a desire to be not an entirely altruistic person, but at least a good person.

What is Vissiall's mythic destiny?: Tied into his motivation, Vissiall has been destined to rule since birth. His natural flair for leadership caught the attention of the ephemeral force which raises gods and deities, and it will give him a chance to prove himself, and should he live he will be elevated above simple mortal status. It also sets up a contrast to the one being Vissiall deems worthy of his hatred - the God-King Razmir. Vissiall, the god who denies it, against Razmir, the mortal who claims godhood.

Hi EltonJ, I'm interested in the campaign style you've described but I'm completely unfamiliar with the setting and how building the character differs from standard PF. Any information you can provide would be fantastic! Additionally, I was wondering how open you are to 3pp, specifically Spheres of Power/Might. Thanks!


Just clarifying, it's not a Spheres of Power class, it's just on that wiki was it also has a bunch of other 3pp stuff on there. If you aren't interested in it regardless, I can look elsewhere.


Ahh my bad, I just realised that it is from a book for Akashic published by Lost Spheres Publishing.

The class itself can be found here. I'm happy to look elsewhere if it's not acceptable to you, but I thing I have some nice ideas of where to go with the character. Obviously up to you.

Hate to seem pushy but did you have any feedback for Vruakehnchuwr, be it fluff, my thoughts on the Wookie race, or the mechanics of the character @GM Terrigan?


The technician may be my favourite class ever made, but it does take a bit of effort to get everything working as there are so many options.


Any thoughts on the potential Wookie race and Wookie Slave Training equipment talent? I just want vibroswords/blades and a ranged weapon, I guess Custom Weapon training would also suffice.


Hahaha I can't say I've had jalapenos with cheese but I'll take it as a compliment! I'm sorry Jeruru, I didn't realise that my concept stepped on your toes somewhat. I'm sure that there is a way we can both submit the character we want without overlapping too much!


Slight correction, Vruakehnchuwr is my submission, during making him I dropped the blacksmith aspects as it didn't really fit in to the story that arose. If you had any tips, mechanical or story-wise, that would help him fit in better I'd greatly appreciate!

Would love to play a martially focused Wookie if that is agreeable? I'm pretty well versed with the spheres system and I remember the original recruitment for this!

Mechanically thinking of going Techsmith archetype Blacksmith, however I am assuming that magic items aren't a thing? If so, Techsmith swaps out Craft Magical Arms and Armour, but I would need to find something else to replace Reforge.

Also not sure about Wookie stats? Would have to work something out with you, possibly +2 Str, +2 Wis, -2 Cha? Or maybe just half-orc stats? Idk.

Fluff-wise I'm thinking he was a slave to an Exchange bounty hunter who was killed, leaving him surprisingly free. That would fit right in with the whole 'avoiding the Exchange' idea and would lead to some possible interesting avenues of storytelling.


Would definitely be keen on a modified story, as I am currently playing in another RotRL game as well!

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been a bit busy but I'll put together an Incanter using Telekinesis and Nature spheres, looking to build a water bender. Lots of interesting ideas here!
