So I sincerely hope that the game gets going but I am going to formally withdraw. My own recruitment thread is getting a lot of attention all of a sudden and I don't want to spread myself too thin. Good luck folks and I hope Archlichey! returns soon.


I'm pretty sure that if I'm allowed into this group I can be convinced to be part of an adventuring guild known as "Jefferson Starship" :p


No problem to have two ranged types.

Under "My Account" , sign in, "create new alias". I don't think anything toggles them as "PFS" but I haven't done much of that. If anyone else knows anything about that part, chime in.


I know looking around at that stuff feels a little odd, no? Sometimes its helpful for context though. Guess we will see what happens though...

I've been a little stymied but I think its just because the nature of PBP draws out my feeling that I don't *know* what to do next...so I'm feeling a little paralyzed with this character. That said, like Adair I had noted the need to heal and eat so I am here and ready.

Am I wrong or are the rules intentionally "vague". I mean this in the sense that Adolpo perceives that not in the sense that Tribute is not writing enough. I am almost wondering if it makes sense to try to steal things from the other group or like tackle the other team and steal their bows or their bandana...I imagine they are watching to see what kind of people we are but it occurs to me that we could shake things up pretty drastically....

Or maybe we should keep it but send one person out to look like they are making a run for it? Depending on who it is they could hide and watch other groups or set up some forward scouting...or just run around like bait wasting other group's time...

I think Ascan is right, we fared well enough in pairs in the forest if we stay in relatively close we should be able to navigate the terrain easily enough. Those that think the can move steathily can go ahead and behind while those with the best athletics and archery otherwise can stay as a loose group while we move.

*scoff* READ the discussion thread? Why would I ever....uhm yeah that would be a good idea, I hadn't noticed that post for some reason. Whoops. Well in that case...

Let us assume for a moment that we must carry our gear. Do we honestly have enough time to make a bow worth using if we are worried about mere seconds of healing delaying our chances in the race? I am wondering if it is sound to split up or if we are best to work all together. My instincts say that we should at least stay in pairs as before.

Adolpho curses silently at the thought of rations and eats his own as he talks with the group.

My bow is of poor quality, I doubt I would be of use with it. I can move quieter than many and am not unsettled in the wilderness. I think it best we all spend the time to heal before testing against the race. It is often said that pace is better than speed. Better rest, better pace.

Adolpho starts with a stong pace and a good eye for food but a strong start turns sour as the next day food is scarce. Adolpho presses on despite this and keeps up the pace.

On the third day Adolhpo's hunger dulls his senses but not his stamina and he pushes to the end of the hike with a solid reservoir of energy.

Who knew that being an orphan fighting for scraps would be good preparation for this? I am lucky my body did not fail me...

At first disoriented about the new location, Adolpho follows Adair who capably guides them to the circles.

At the elf's recommendation on approaching from separate angles the Iberion claps Adair on the shoulder and swings to the other side. The two of them capably infiltrate and meet each other in the middle.

I wasn't sure how much choice we would have in so much as if our scores dictated trak we would have access to or other narrative things would shape us to certain resolutions. I for one was thinking of looking at the ACG classes or looking at ranger/rogue type option for how I envision Adolpho's personality.

Yes I agree. Those are certainly the trees we are looking for.

Adolpho turns at Liam with a sort of intense look...that softens after a minute as offers a slow nod and does his best to act on the other man's encouragement.

Adolpho does wait bare minimum he can to help set camps as he finds he is too exhausted to be of much help.

Adolpho gasps for air as the trek reaches its final leg. Shockinlgy the young man offers his first full comment to the group, his Iberion accent thick on his words.

Adolpho stays silent on the exit to the wild, still chagrined over his effort with the bows. When it comes time to forage the Iberion does his part but it is, by far, not his best. Regardless the young man takes comfort in at least this, however minimal, success.

Adolpho curses and struggles with the wood, failing to even get it to minimally bend to his will. Seeing other succeed with apparent ease the young Iberion simply stops and gestures with frustration. Un esfuerzo inútil!

Looking at Ascan, Adlpho offers a sort of eye roll and shrug as if to say "it is not easy for us apparently".

At Jonah's earlier question Adolpho only raises and eyebrow and shrugs ever so slightly, offering little else in response.

Adolpho binds his hair, checks his gear and makes his way to the food after the basic stretches. Getting his serving the young man does not pay the voice any mind but does note who else seemed interested.

Adolpho eats quietly and quickly, seemingly doing little to savor the meal. Speaking to no one in particular the Iberion muses out loud. Food is fuel. He then serves himself water and sits in silence.

Adolpho follows the others quietly, listening to the short introduction to the trials. As the others introduce themselves and fit their gear Adolpho retrieves his own armor and supplies and puts them on. He continues to watch the group noting those that are not human and frowning ever so slighty to himself.

Have I been placecd here to test my comfort with the strange or are we the outcasts? Orphans and other cast offs?

Adolpho shakes the thought from his head nd his long black hair shakes in his face, reminding tthe young man to bind up his hair and he puts on the gear. Otherwise he watches but stays quiet.
