New Wave of Starfinder Masterclass Miniatures

Tuesday, June 14, 2022

Archon Studio is happy to announce the long-awaited 6th wave of Starfinder Masterclass Miniatures releases and the start of the Kickstarter fulfillment process. This brings the total number of Starfinder Masterclass Miniatures from the Kickstarter to 33, with 71 left to be produced.

This new set of miniatures is available now at the Archon Studio Store, at the Paizo Store, and will soon be at your friendly local game store. All models are manufactured in HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene Sheet), as multi-part models, ready to be assembled and painted as you see fit. Let us introduce you to our recent recruits.

Archon Starfinder Minis featuring a Shirren Operative, a Vesk Solarian, an Android Xenoseeker, a Ysoki Gang Leader, a Ysoki Mystic, and a Shirren Scholar

As we mentioned at the start of the campaign, once we got to wave 6, we would begin to ship miniatures to backers. Details on shipping all 33 miniatures in Group 1 are below.

What Can I Expect in My Package?
Archon will deliver a set of 33 miniatures (as listed below) to every Kickstarter backer, regardless of what they purchased. If you purchased more than $400 worth of miniatures, you’ll receive two codes. If you purchased more than $800, you’ll receive three codes. This code distribution will be duplicated across Groups 2 and 3 until we’ve delivered all 104 Kickstarter miniatures to backers.

Each code grants 1 each of the following 33 miniatures:

It does not include the 2 special edition releases from Archon Studio from the Starfinder line, which remain available for purchase through the Archon Studio Store:

Kickstarter Fulfillment Starts Now
Archon Studio is prepared to start fulfillment operations, but Ninja Division has informed Paizo that it does not have the money to fulfill their part of the obligation of shipping Group 1 miniatures to backers. Unfortunately, this will require additional shipping to be paid by each non-EU backer that was originally scheduled to receive their miniatures directly from Ninja Division.

North America and Rest of World: You will receive an email from Paizo containing a voucher code that must be redeemed on paizo.com to pay for shipping and provide your current shipping address. Archon will be fulfilling Group 1 at a cost of $13 per code received to these regions.

European Backers: A simple survey has been created for you to easily update your current postal address. Click here to fill out the survey.

What's Next?
Archon is already preparing the 7th wave of Starfinder Masterclass miniatures, and we will coordinate shipping Group 2 to backers as soon as Wave 12 is completed.

Thanks again for backing Starfinder Masterclass Miniatures. We know this process has taken longer than planned, and we thank you for your support as we work through the remaining waves of miniatures.

If you did not participate in the original Kickstarter, limited quantities of the miniatures will be available through paizo.com and archon-studio.com.

Appreciate you pathfinding pioneers. Or in this case starfinding?

Anyways, successfully added the code in my accounts page, scrolled to the bottom and finalized the order and shipping thanks to you guys who went before me.

Much appreciated.

Still think at minimum Paizo should have covered shipping. They got paid for the license use and we got robbed because they told us to trust them.

Would have preferred a refund. Never really going to play Starfinder but I may find a use for those space goblins for a one shot in Pathfinder I guess.

After getting the "Update! Code Redemption Now Fixed" from Paizo Goblins, I tried reentering the code, and the message is:

That code is not recognized.

Unable to proceed.

Scroll to the bottom of the redeemed page, there may be an order waiting to be completed.

I enetered the code that was Emailed to me, and I'm getting a 'That code is not recognized.' message. Is their system down for code redemptions?

I'm planning on checking to see if my FLGS wants to buy them from me relatively cheap, just to try and recoup some of my losses without too much effort, otherwise I'll eBay them as a lot.

Back when this came out I was all excited to run a campaign, but then that never actually happened and earlier this year my gaming group partially broke up over bad things done by one of them anyway, so even now there wouldn't be interest in playing. And if I was just looking for something to paint, my basement is full of much easier to assemble and better looking miniatures than these from other ranges I bought and never did anything with (yet), so I've really got no interest in these miniatures anymore (at least since they were changed from what was promised in the KS to what they are now)

Can anyone tell me if this shipment is coming from Paizo in Seattle or from Archon? I'm wondering if an order can be combined I've been wanting to pick up a few pocket versions of 1st Ed. Bestiary's so it be nice to it all at once.

Can someone from Paizo or Archon post what the remaining 71 miniatures are please.
Will the Goblins be the only full encounter pack? I though the skittermander also was meant to be a set of six.

I would expect it to come from Poland. Paizo is collecting the funds and Archon is shipping it out.

When I completed the order there was no option of adding anything else to it, it would have been a completely separate shipping charge as this only goes to Archon.

So I got 2 codes, is it just duplicates of the same minis listed in the blog? When I'm checking out, it only shows 1 code being actually redeemed for $13.

I can't "go through the redemption process again," at least not with the same code: the redemption page tells me "that code is not recognized" when I try to use it again.

If you scroll to the bottom of the redemption page, before trying to redeem, is there an order pending waiting to be closed?

Good luck either way. Sucks that this had issues on top of all the other angst we have at the process.

SOLVED IT!

Like someone else said: don't redeem the code at the top.

Scroll down past the Redeemed Codes section, and you should see (if it appears like on mine) a larger sized 1, 2, and 3 box.

For me 1 started in green, and 2 and 3 were red and it was asking me to follow the steps. On step 2 you add/select a payment method. I had to add a new payment method (since the ones stored were expired) and confirm the address.

Then on 3 I had to "place order" (I think I had to scroll up to find the big red button for that. And it went through, charging me just $13 for shipping.

I want to say that this was one of the least user friendly code implementations I've ever used, and had to scroll up/down at various random points since it dumped me somewhere away from where I needed to be at various stages of completing the order.

Good luck to everyone on getting their codes/order through everyone!

I am an all in backer. But I can't seem to find this email I've been through all my my emails and can't find it in my inbox or spam filter.

Highly recommend emailing customer.service@paizo.com if you can't find the email, and are still using the same email address as you did during the campaign/pledge manager.

To help in the search it came from news@email.paizo.com with the subject Starfinder Masterclass Miniatures Shipping

Question: As european backer, do i get those codes as well? When and where do i get them?

I'm really glad Archon took this over!

Wow, so that was a terrible UI experience.. Someone was very generous calling the payment process finicky. It took several tries to enter my billing address, which differs from my shipping address, till I just gave up and used the shipping address. Navigating from one step to the next wipes everything out if it didn't take. I also managed to find a "page not found" link amid trying to get it to take my address. This is all besides having to scroll down to find the buttons.. Maybe test this stuff before making it live?

It really is a terrible UI experience. I'm glad ya'll talked it through up there. I was able to redeem both codes. You have to do them individually. $13 (plus tax?) for each code. My order from Monday shipped today, so hopefully, I'll have some plastic to build in the next couple of weeks. Can't believe something is actually happening on this after 4 years. Hats off to Archon. Mild Hat tip to Paizo who should never have gotten involved with those swindlers at Ninja... but they did engage Archon which is working out. I hope Ninja Divison folks all experience wild, unpredictable, and unrelenting bouts of bubble gut today.

Hey @Paizo @Archon, if our orders are being fulfilled by Archon, are the packages originating from Poland?

The packages aren't tracked, so I want to make an educated guess and estimate the time it would take to get here.

Unfortunately, I have porch pirates lurking about. This is a genuine concern. So, any information on this is helpful.

I had long sense written these off as a bad decision. I'm excited to see what the final product will look like.

Has anyone state side received theirs yet?

I processed my check out on 6/15, but from the sounds of it these might be shipping internationally.

Cheers, and thanks again!

Hey Paizo,

Is there any intent to pick up the exclusive minis for the Paizo Store? As much as I'd love to pick up Zo! and Luwazi now that Archon is delivering product to us backers (aka improving their goodwill immensely), but here in the US they want more in shipping from Poland than both minis combined.

Has anything come of this?
I am in Europe, but I am also a gameontabletop backer and have heard nothing about a shipment being sent

I got a response for this from Archon:

Can someone from Archon or Paizo post a list of all 104 miniatures please.

Does the list include the multiple copies from the encounter packs or are they only mentioning the one version but will post 6 to the backers.

Have not received shipping notice.

Will say that Archon is in the middle of shipping out their Dungeons and Lasers 3 campaign and they are limited by how many packages FedEx will pick up.

So, I am not thinking this will be hitting the mail any time soon. But timeframes for what we could expect and when we should be keeping an eye out would be greatly appreciated.

Watching the Live Stream for Archon.

Jarek just said European orders should be out the door already and the US orders are being packed and shipped now.

He also said that the total number of mini's needed may be more than the stock they had on hand and they may need to produce more minis.

Personal thoughts that this will be a marathon but he confirmed that movement is happening

:D

Reached out via email, they confirmed US orders have not been shipped yet. Actually got a prompt response which is encouraging.

You see, that's weird. On June 23, 2022, the following day after I submitted my order I got two e-mails stating the following:

Paizo wrote:

This order has been processed and finalized for shipment. It can no longer be altered.

I don't understand why they would send this message if the U.S. orders haven't been sent out yet? I'm sorry, but it's misleading.

This is a generic email from Paizo, who is not actually shipping the order. They send it because it is an automated response from Paizo's ordering system.

You are right, somewhat misleading. But that is what happens when one company is collecting the shipping fees and then sending it to the company who is doing the actual shipping.

Received my shipment in Pennsylvania. Simple box of pieces on sprues with small instruction sheets for assembly. Thank you to everyone involved for your continued efforts in trying to fulfill everything.

Received shipment today, no shipping notice. USA West Coast.

Box from Archon, the sprues were all in a bag with instruction sheets for each mini. Double checked and each mini in the box did have its own instruction sheet.

If you are wanting to organize your mini's by numerical sprue number, this is the order to put your instruction sheets in.

The numbers missing, when looking at the sprues, I am guessing are the 2 mini's not included in our packs.

Dwarf Sodlier, Half-Elf Operative, Half-orc soldier (2 pieces of paper instructions for this one), Necrovite, Half-Elf Steward, Elf Operative, Ryphorian Skyfire Pilot, Anacite Laborer, Obozaya Vesk Soldier, Ferani Nadaz, Skittermander with sword (this instruction sheet is mislabeled Anacite Laborer), Halfling Pilot, Lashunta Envoy, Human Solarian, Android Mechanic, Space Goblin Warband: 6 Minis, Asteray, Epic Obozaya, Vesk Free Captain, Human Soldier, Vesk Mercenary, Ysoki Gang Leader, Vesk Solarian, Shirren Operative, Android Xenoseeker, Ysoki Mystic, Shirren Scholar

If I counted right 32 mini's, 33 with the Android Mechanics Dog Drone.

Thank you to Archon for fulfilling what Ninja Division never could. Appreciate that you took up the mantle and you made fantastic minis.

Thank you to Paizo for letting Archon pick up that mantle.

Okay.

I finally got confirmation that backers on GameOnTabletop who weren't Kickstarter Backers are indeed with Archon.

That said, also seems like EU Backers aren't going out yet?

October 3rd and still nothing. As if getting scammed out of several hundred dollars the first time around wasn't bad enough, I was stupid enough to chip in another $26 for shipping a second time. God am I sucker. You got me again Paizo, well done.

To be honest, I don't know who to contact.
Archon claimed they would be contacting EU backers "Shortly" but it's been almost 3 months since this announcement.

Is there an update? Are there more delays?
On kickstarter, there is someone who claims Archon told them "They are shipping two other projects first" which.... wait, what? Why not tell us then?

Silence is causing the aggravation that is only going to happen more now as we approach the fourth month since you said "You're getting your first wave now!"

Additionally to this. I have yet to have a clear response to "How have you updated my address?" on the EU Form.
They don't ask what my old address was or what my associated email or account name was.
You just say "yes" and then "Enter new Address"

We've investigated on the Paizo side and found some instances where an order was not properly routed to Archon and are correcting those now. We've also found a few orders that have been sent to Archon but have not yet been processed, and we've contacted Archon to sort those out.

Okay.

I have to be honest, this seems too little too late. What a disappointment this all was, including paizo with this half-assed set up to get our minis.

I'm not even going to bother.

Honestly, I haven't bothered to grab miniatures because of all this kind of drama. I've been a GM since launch played countless sessions and had ran through all the Aliens for my creature of the week, and not a single one of my players or fellow gms wanted to throw actual money on a Dice Check to see if we would be lucky and actually get the dang things..

We mostly used little glass pieces and printed monster art for tactical movement on the map mat, nobody complained after I showed them the various threads about this debacle and no one felt the risk was worth the reward.

Just stoppin in to keep the thread relevant.

Any idea when the next waves are planned or are we letting this project fade into the background just to be brought up by backers who remember it exists from time to time?
