"Demolition? Ironflame may not be illegal when used in construction but that may not be the intended use for this batch. Who is the client?"

GM 7thGate |

Lileone pipes up. "Just keep in mind, this is suspicious but we don't have any proof they're up to anything nefarious. Its still private property, so you can't just go barging in if they don't want to talk to you."
The warehouse is a large structure located near the Glass Pit, Vialesk's central forge. The Pathfinders arrive around 4:30 in the afternoon, and find the doors locked. There is some light foot traffic and the occasional guard passing through.
[ooc]You can go ahead and place yourselves on the map on slide 6. The central building is Tsomo's warehouse. It is 30 feet high and made of wood, with two large sets of locked double doors, one facing the street and one facing a side alley.

Placing Gaius's token on where I think the party would approach.

![]() |

can someone add my token please..i'm on my tablet..i'll climb to see in the window.
Patros drops his shield and tries to get a look in the window.
Let's take a peek, shall we?

no ACP...mwk agile breastplate...

![]() |

I put your token on the map but I'm not sure where the windows are located.

GM 7thGate |

Patros is able to quickly climb up to a window and look inside, seeing a well lit warehouse filled with boxes kept in carefully separated piles. There is a balcony 10 feet off the floor of the warehouse. Three Sahuagin are working inside, one on the balcony, and two on the floor examining and moving boxes.
There are windows in the front and side alley area, so you can choose which you climb.

![]() |

How do you want to proceed? If you want to break down a door or window to enter, you will need a stealth check to avoid drawing the attention of the guard. Or you could try another route, if anyone has ideas.
Gaius utters some words of magic and disappears from sight.
@GM: Casting Invisibility and taking 10 on a Climb check to join Patros at the window. Is the window also locked?

![]() |

Sorcerer watches Gaius disappear from sight "Gaius? Throw me a rope if you have. I'm not a good climber" she whispers to him

![]() |

@GM: Gaius will take 10 on Perception for a 23. Does the lock appear trapped?

![]() |

Patros checks for any trap.

We might have to go through the door...no way we're all getting through the window stealthily... he whispers.
Also whispering, "The doors are also locked. Sneaking in through the window might be the best option."

![]() |

What's everyone think? We have no one with ranks in Disable Device so we can't disable any of the locks. That leaves us two options: literally break in (probably through a window) or forget this location.

![]() |

”Oooo, I hate to be doing lawbreaking things. But I don’t see any other way to investigate this spot. And I’m too small to climb up and try to get through the window.”
Door it is, I guess.

Or we come back with a skeleton key...but time might be against us... Patros states calmly as he grabs his multitool and makes it take the form of a large shim and tries to jimmy the window open quietly.

No helping that one. Gaius will buy a skeleton key and another jellyfish if we can find the locathah.
@GM: I posted this on Friday, April 18 but you did not address it in your reply. Were we able to find them? I should've followed up earlier.

GM 7thGate |

Yes, its fine to get the skeleton key and another jellyfish on one of the trips across town.
Patros is able to pop the window while his companions keep a lookout. It makes a moderately lound noise, but he has good timing from the assists and no guards come to investigate. A quick peek through the window shows that the Sahuagin have not yet noticed anything amiss.

Is there anything on the outside to tie a rope to? Or is it climbable through the window inside?

![]() |

There are some stone protrusions on the outside of the building you can tie a rope to near the window. Depending on where you enter, you can either drop down to the top of a stack of crates or the second floor balcony.
The second floor balcony; trying to land on top of a stack of crates sounds like the beginning of a comedy of errors! :)
Gaius, being invisible, whispers, "I'll go first."

Gaius takes a step towards the sahuagin on the floor, calls upon the power of Hathor versus his opponents, and lets loose with two blunt arrows!
@GM: 5' step, swift action to activate Bane vs. monstrous humanoids (sahuagin), and Rapid Shot for two attacks. I'll include the +2 bonus for invisibility on the first arrow only. He's targeting the sahuagin on the floor that's at the top of the map; looks like it has red hair? I added the -4 penalty for blunt arrows; they deal nonlethal damage.
+1 Composite Longbow (+1 Str), Rapid Shot, Bane, Invisible: 1d20 + 9 + 2 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 9 + 2 + 2 - 4 = 141d6 + 3 + 2d6 ⇒ (1) + 3 + (1, 3) = 8
+1 Composite Longbow (+1 Str), Rapid Shot, Bane: 1d20 + 9 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (10) + 9 + 2 - 4 = 171d6 + 3 + 2d6 ⇒ (5) + 3 + (4, 3) = 15

That's why Gaius used blunt arrows although that -4 is a killer. :(

GM 7thGate |

With the blessing of the gods, both arrows strike true, causing the Sahuagin to roar. With Bless first, the first attack just hits flat foot AC.
One of the Saguahin comes running around the boxes and takes a bite out of Gaius.

@GM: Could Gaius move from where he was (I put a smiley face in that spot) to the spot I currently have his token? It's a corner so he'd provoke but I'm not sure if the brute's presence blocks his move.
