The shot blows one of Eselar's hands clean off! Thankfully he has 3 spares! I've never encountered this in Starfinder, so I don't know it's effect or how to get it fixed.

Ohmarc tries again to scramble the foe's mind Will: 1d20 ⇒ 14, but it only works a little.

Endre keeps the party's morale up while also giving special care to psych Trylara up.

I'm slightly confused, because in an earlier post, you mentioned Red dropping to the ground, twitching, after Alpha's attack, but he is still on the map, and I think he took a shot, so I assume he is still in the combat?

Regarding the hand, well, a cybernetic limb is only 100 credits... There is a demon in a Season 1 scenario that has a special attack that literally incinerates limbs!

Alpha keeps trying to put Red down.

Trick Attack - Take 10 = 36. Flat-Footed for 1 round.

” High Chancellor Cadusys, forgive me for inquiring upon your business but this may help us know more about motives in the attack. Were you brokering any deals or enacting policy that would attract the attention of any extremist factions within the Church of Iomede?”

I mean, she is the representative of the Church of Iomedae...?

Alpha frowns.

"I agree, we should check on your aide..."

He leaves unspoken the fact that he believes the aide might be neck-deep in what just happened...

"Absolutely not!" She seems angry at the suggestion.

"With all due respect ma'am, you were a major part of getting this summit arranged. As a result, you invited numerous faiths here, many of which your church has historically wanted to kill by any means necessary with little regard for due process or any proof of a crime. It is understandable that your actions in setting up this summit would get some extremists riled up. With the setting and high tensions, it would be an easy task to pin the blame on some else, namely the Kuthites, so they would be blamed. This would lead to outrage against them, particularly if the assassination attempt had succeeded. With you out of the picture and tempers in your faith rising, they could easily get someone with more, useful, beliefs into your position."

Iseph explains.

Trylara looks horrified that the attackers might have been affiliated with the Knights of Golarion!

"We should find Vestralis at once. Did he say where he was going?"

"I don't. I... I can’t call Vestralis on his comm unit either, as he was using a different comm today. His personal comm unit was malfunctioning, so he picked up a tempcomm in the interim."

Celita’s voice sounds relieved even through the static of the commlink. “Excellent, you aren’t dead. Noname chanced upon an encrypted series of transmissions from the cathedral just before the attack. Once the attack occurred, she used the station’s net to triangulate the transmissions’ locations. Whoever was issuing orders for the attack was at the train station nearest the Cathedral. There’s a train leaving that station in 5 minutes heading to the spaceport. Hurry there and try to spot them. We’ve alerted the authorities, but they’ll never move fast enough. Go!”
