If this is a surprise round, Wyssal will start Inspire Courage again. Is that one goblin almost beside Wyssal's token supporsed to be there?

Apologies for the wait, had some things to handle and it wiped me out.

The commando aims his horsechopper well, skewering it in the small gap in Lawrence's armor, as his mount can't bite through the armor. One of the goblins sees the other getting ganged up on by the tiny dinosaurs and sinks its dogslicer into the one in front, causing a small shriek.

A fearsome halo erupts above the aasimar's head, as Darius roars.
Intimidate + Halo: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 + 2 = 9 Not rolling high.

Wyssal Freeling |

Wyssal runs as fast as she can, but she can't make it to the next skirmish as soon as some of the others. She does continue to encourage the others, trying to keep their spirits up in the face of the ongoing goblin assault.
Move 30'. Lingering Performance continues Inspire Courage this round.

GM KoolKobold |

Neither Darius's intimidation tactics nor Dagny's blade manage to do anything. Other than cause the commando to laugh mockingly.

The Fort Save is DC 16 due to multiple doses of poison in the same round if the Save fails they take 1 point of Str Dmg
Also that Goblin made its previous save so would not have taken any Str Dmg from that poison at that time
Tomo Atk Mount: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (7) - 1 = 6
Tomo Dmg Mount: 1d8 ⇒ 4
The tiny dinosaurs viciously tear into the Goblin while Tomo stands back and shoots his bow at the dog-like creature being ridden by the Goblin hoping that by damaging it that will cause its rider to lose focus but his shot is wide of its mark and flies harmlessly down the alleyway.

GM KoolKobold |

Goblin 2 Attack on Compsognatuhs: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Goblin 2 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
The goblin at the corner tries to swipe at one of the compsognathus, but misses and almost slices into his comrade. That poor goblin keeps screaming until two of the little dinosaurs successfully sink their teeth into the goblin's jugular, and he collapses as the little reptiles begin to tear into him.
The commando only notices Lawrence charging a second too late, and soon his head goes from his shoulders, to about 5 feet in the air, then splats onto the ground. You can make a free Intimidate check with a +4 bonus The goblin dog, now without a rider, shrieks at the arrow almost hitting it, and runs past the crowd in a panic.

Larry shakes the blood from his sword as the goblin commando's head flies.... "Now THAT'S how you die when you face me!!!"
He glares at the rest of the goblins. "Who's next!"
Intimidate: 1d20 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 + 4 = 20

Wyssal Freeling |

Feeling bolder since the little lizards and Larry are tearing up goblins so effectively, Wyssal hurries on her way to the front. Since she's not sure how good those lizards are at telling the difference between a goblin and a halfling, she tacks to the right and squeezes through the gap between Larry and some crates to get beyond the big man and into probably ill-advisedly close proximity to one of the remaining goblins.
She whips her bladed scarf at the goblin while wincing at Larry's outburst. He is rather terrifying.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 3 + 1 = 15
Damage: 1d6 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 + 1 = 6
Move 30' to new location as shown on map. Standard action to attack. Lingering Performance continues Inspire Courage.

Darius Deverin |

The shelynite advances to give aid to the cleric.
Rapier: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Dmg.: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

GM KoolKobold |

Tomodai, the goblin dog ran past too fast for you to take aim at it
The remaining two goblins shriek and drop their weapons, raising their hands up. “Stop! Stop! We surrender! We go now! Let us be!”
Battle over! What you want to do with the goblins is your choice
As the two goblins cower at the mercy of the party, a man steps out behind the barrels and claps enthusiasticly. “Bravo! Bravo to you all!” the man cheers, racing over to shake Lawrence’s hand, “Especially you, brave and poweful warrior! You and your companions saved my life and the lives of many others! I must know your names!”
[spoiler=Knowledge local DC 14]You know this man as Aldern Foxglove, one of the few remaining members of the aristocratic family called the Foxgloves. You don’t know much, but something happened with his family and rumor has it that he is trying to rebuild his family’s legacy.[/ooc]

Darius Deverin |

Knowledge (local): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
"Mr. Foxglove?! Are you alright?!"
The paladin still holds his rapier at one of the goblin's throats.

Lawrence Hastings |

Larry accepts the hand shaking and nods. No Knowledge-Local so he doesn't know him? "Sure. Of course. Careful sir. I need to clean my sword. I keep it sharp. More for giants you know. But it does good against scrawny runts like these too....
He wipes the sword using the clothing of the headless goblin commander, then sheaths it. Afterward he checks the body for anything of value, and the weapon that the goblin used to hit him. "I do have a bit of a wound. This thing may be a goblin weapon but it hurt! Anybody know healing magic?"

Tomodai |

Tomo is a bit annoyed that the dog-like creature got away and was about to instead shoot one of the Goblins when they surrendered which he again found to be a bit annoying as he would have preferred to have killed them as they are, in his eyes, non redeemable creatures.
Knowledge (Local): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
OCC: So the fact that both Darius and Tomo both got over 20 did we acquire any additional knowledge about this Aldern Foxglove?

Dagny Lyght |

"I do know how to heal, the Dawnflower has granted me such gifts. However I ask for you to compensate the gift, be it donation or by showing others compassion." She says with a smile.
'I can also clean that blade for you" She says cleaning her blade and then sheathing it. She looks to the goblins and speaks to them.
"The Everlight, is a merciful goddess to those who seek to live a life of compassion. A redeemer and healer, who bestows healing flame to those who only seek to be patient, compassionate and kind. She seeks peace between all races and people. Should you really surrender you may find her favor and be redeemed" Dagny smiles letting her power flow as she began a chant asking for the Healing flames of the Everlight.
Her holysymbol begins to glow blue and flames ignite her hands. She touches Lawrence and the blue flames engulf him seeking out the wounds and magically healing what they can.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
LOL Piazo dice apparently hate me right now

Tomodai |

OCC: Yeah that never made much sense to me especially if someone followed a Lawful deity -- why would that Lawful deity give a random (aka Chaotic) amount of healing -- so I altered it such that if the caster and the recipient take a Full-Round Action to do the healing where they both are basically Flat-Footed while doing so then they get the full value and no roll is required. However, if they are trying to heal someone in combat the die roll simply reflects how long they were able to maintain contact since both individuals are moving about rather erratically (aka Chaotically). So perhaps our GM might adopt such an minor alteration as well.

Lawrence Hastings |

Larry looks at the wound, then covers the area. "Sure, I can pay, depending on how much. And I always try to do good, help others. This is a small town. Hurt people and you get a bad reputation. Besides, Cayden set the example for me!"
"Oh. Thanks. The bleeding is stopped so it won't soak more into my shirt. My blade is good though. I never sheath it with blood on it. And I oil and sharpen it every night. Never know when the giants might attack here, like they did...." His voice fades off at that and he looks around at the others. "Anybody else hurt? She's a healer! Lady of the Dawnflower. Cayden loves the Dawnflower!"

GM KoolKobold |

Dagny since we’re not in combat I’ll let you reroll that for a better result
“I’m fine, but,” Aldern said before sadly looking at the dead dog, “Oh, poor Sniper. I raised him since he was a puppy…At least you didn’t die in vein, my friend…”
The party can hear that the chaos of the town has stopped. But it is now replaced by the wailing of the friends and family of the few victims of the goblin raid.

Dagny Lyght |

Healing: 1d8 ⇒ 4
"yes, um, exactly" She says a bit uncomfortable.
"Well, I meant maintain it. I urm was an apprentice for my former party...taught me to keep the camp, and cook and clean as well as provide me necessary skills. In fact its why I choose the Dawnflower"

Tomodai |

Tomo, with an arrow still nocked and ready to fire, he asks, "So what are we going to do with these two?" Then looking over a Lawrence he asks, "Did you find anything?

Lawrence Hastings |

Larry stands. "Just a couple potions. His weapon cut me good though. But not as good as I got him!"
He hands the potions to Dagny. "Of course! The Lucky Drunk says that we should always protect the weak, and never tolerate a tyrant. Freedom is important!" Glancing at the goblins he shrugs. "They surrendered. I won't harm the helpless. But maybe they know why the goblins attacked? This was coordinated to start when the priest started his speech. They're too stupid to work like that."
"Darius? They're scared of me right now. Maybe you should try talking to them. Promise to protect them from me or something...."

Darius Deverin |

"I'm gonna lead them to the jailhouse. I'd appreciate some assistance."

Lawrence Hastings |

Larry hears Darius chatter something that he thinks might be the goblins' language. He hadn't know that the knight spoke that. "Good idea. Let the sheriff take them." He draws his sword again and agrees to bring up the rear.

Tomodai |

As Lawerence agrees to bring up the rear Tomo says, "Let me bring up the rear," he hefts his bow to indicate why, "you might be best to take one of the sides to discourage trying to run." He glances at the others present and asks, "Anyone else want to help with prisoner escort duty?"

GM KoolKobold |

The goblins' eyes almost bulge out of their skulls once Darius speaks in their tongue. They nod frantically and holds their hands at the back of their heads, following them without any resistance.
Meanwhile, the town is beginning to pick itself up from the raid. Only a handful of guards and civilians are killed, compared to the dozens of goblins who were either killed by arrow, spell or sword, or who willingly jumped off Junker's Edge into the sharp rocks and raging waters. One woman is holding the young man Darius identified earlier and is sobbing uncontrollably-he also catches the eye of the man, a bearded middle aged individual whose glare easily tells the party that he is not happy with them.

Darius Deverin |

Unable to provide his condolences, Darius maintained his forced march of the goblin prisoners.

Tomodai |

Knowledge(Local): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Tomo wonders why Ven is glaring, everyone here were locals especially himself, so his well known distaste of outsiders and adventurers should be a non issue. So perhaps there might be more to it, like perhaps maybe he had something to do with the raid in some way. For Goblins do not just waltz into town without encountering the guard so they must have by passed the guard some how. Tomo's eyes narrow and he looks back at Ven in displeasure. Perhaps he can spook the man into revealing something.

Wyssal Freeling |

With the sudden end to the violence and return to relative calm, Wyssal just stops. She goes into a sort of shock, not understanding what has just happened or why. She stares at the goblins and the new man without a word, slightly slack-jawed, while taking rapid shallow breaths. The adrenaline dump leaves Wyssal feeling shaky and a little nauseous.
When the others start off to take the goblins to the sheriff, she walks with them since she doesn't know what else to do.

Wyssal Freeling |

Wyssal turns her head and stares at Dagny for a second before opening her mouth. Nothing comes out so she closes it and tries again.
"That is the wildest, weirdest thing that has ever happened to me. I don't understand it. Why did they do all this?"

Dagny Lyght |

" It is a horrible thing. The key now is to lament, then move forward. This though tragic will bring new grow. In the teachings of Sarenrae, fire can burn and break, but also in its wake bring promise of new"Dagny says soothingly.
" What we need to do is continue on figuring out why the goblins came here and striked"

Tomodai |

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
Over hearing Dagny Tomo says, "Do Goblins every really need a reason to attack anyone? I am just surprised that there were not a lot more of them as they usually attack in mass numbers. So Sarenrae, does that mean you work at the Cathedral?"

Wyssal Freeling |

Wyssal shakes her head negatively at Tomodai's comment.
"No no, goblins aren't animals, or demons for that matter. They possess intelligence. Goblins make take unreasonable risks sometimes, but this was different. They would have to know they didn't have any chance of succeeding at anything except their own deaths. This town is simply too big. It was suicidal."
