Wilbur and I are leveled up.
I took Mature Beastmaster Companion as my Class feat
Incredible Beastmater Companion for my Free Archtype
and Advanced first aid as my skill feat

We'll likely need to wait until Stom comes back, assaulting a fortress tends to kick things off pretty quickly.
GM Cody
All good all good, I thought of it too late but I ended up bringing Hezle back to buy us some time with some roleplay while you get leveled up
Stom Flintheart
Stom's level 8 details
Class Feat: Renewed Vigor - spend an action to gain temp HP
FA Feat: Blessed One Dedication - nothing on Mauler looked great & being less of a healing burden makes sense
Skill Feat: Quick Jump - missed taking this earlier

I was trying to make a border to show the roof's edge basically, there is a thin rampart/walkway that has boggard guards patroling before it then slopes up to a more natural roof.
The clay walls are rough and have periodic handholds, requiring a DC 17 Athletics check to Climb.
Also, they appear to only be made of hardened clay, its entirely possible for someone to koolaid man their way through if they were strong enough/could do enough damage, which I'm all for seeing happen just for the sheer chaos of upending the natural order lol
GM Cody
funnily enough, your stealth rolls were enough to beat the boggard guard right over head, just not enough to beat the giant prehistoric 2-ton crocodile that lurks in this swamp

ALRIGHT, updated holy hell. Violant's got Haste now, and please let me know if you need it, or are going to request a roll with advantage/disadvantage. She's definitely pissing off the Dimension of Time the further she gets along, but I think this MIGHT be the limit of her time-based ability, at least until Escape Timeline comes up.

Yeah not sure what’s up, maybe they are migrating hosts but yeah past week has been so hit or miss. Half my posts get eaten
GM Cody
the way I read it, is you make me commit to doing something on my next turn, at the time of casting the spell. So if I said "I strike Doxie" and doxie ends up moving and is no longer a viable target but there are other targets available, I have to will make save to not try and follow doxie to strike her and to fulfill my action as part of the spell.
Violant Turra
I mostly meant, in terms of rules, can you Strike yourself. I want to Behold the Weave someone into that. Literal "why you hittin' yourself" energy.
GM Cody
ah I misunderstood you, as it pertains to this spell, the way I'm reading and from these two different discussions on the spell here and here and this random youtube video examining the spell here
Basically though you cast the spell, I make a will save, depending on my save result, I have to commit to doing those actions on my next turn or losing those actions.
so you cast it, and I fail the save, I commit to the actionsof: I attack Doxie and I attack Oppa.
Now knowing that, Oppa and Doxie decide to withdraw or go invisible or make themselves unable to be attacked, then I lose my 2 actions on my turn that I committed earlier.
Let me know if you want to do something different or stick with your turn, I'll roll my save and commit to actions based on my result
Violant Turra
Alright yeah, I switched to yours based on what you said. Third action, should they crit fail, is Strike self. Hopefully Oppa and Doxie get the message.
I suppose I should use "Strike Self" if the to-hit is so mmuch higher than the AC in the future.
Oppa Silk
I've got to admit that I have no idea what Violant is trying to do. Are you saying Oppa and Doxie should retreat only so that the creature can't act. I don't see what that accomplishes, as we get no closer to taking this thing out???
GM Cody
I was just using Oppa and Doxie as an example out of character to try and explain how I interpret the spell works.
In that, the caster doesn't decide any of the actions that I choose to have the character commit to.
It is a very unique meta-game-esque spell though and perfectly aligns with Violant's time magic theme.
GM Cody
Thinking about it more, this combat is a little tough, because its all of the party, then all of the bad guys, split up a bit more I could see it having more uses or in a instance where Violant acts first and I respond before any else posts, then it gives everyone a clear indication of what my character's actions/intentions will be.
Violant Turra
I'm still getting used to it. I... admittedly f*$$ed up. I'll plan that further.
I'll probably stick to random energy damage span from now on.
