Shield Block Trigger While you have your shield raised, you would take physical damage (bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing) from an attack. You snap your shield in place to ward off a blow. Your shield prevents you from taking an amount of damage up to the shield's Hardness. You and the shield each take any remaining damage, possibly breaking or destroying the shield.

Battle Medicine:

Attempt a Medicine check with the same DC as for Treat Wounds and restore the corresponding amount of HP; this doesn't remove the wounded condition. As with Treat Wounds, you can attempt checks against higher DCs if you have the minimum proficiency rank. The target is then immune to your Battle Medicine for 1 day. This does not make them immune to, or otherwise count as, Treat Wounds.

Lyra Flamecrest is a 24 year old Half Orc from the Hold of Belkzen, her mother was an unknown victim to Orc Ferocity as they pushed deeper into Lastwall. Unfortunately, her mother’s whereabouts are unknown and Lyra’s role within the tribe was always tenuous at best. Not quite respected as an Orc, vilified for being part human. Finding a way to serve the Tribe, she set about learning what she could of medicine by watching the Shamans, helping stitch warriors back up after their fights with the Crusaders of Lastwall.
When she was only 13 her tribe bit off more than they could chew with a band of Crusaders and were nearly wiped out. She was taken, feisty as she was by the crusaders that recognized her as a Half-Orc and was taken in by the Saranaite’s. Her crude, but effective healing techniques were quickly recognized and she was selected to be trained as a Cleric of Sarenrae. Understanding that the Dawn Light was giving her a second chance at life and a chance now to aid those Crusader’s she inadvertently had been helping to destroy.
With her tribe destroyed, her connection to Orcish culture was lost, her Father, the leader of the Warband dead saddened her greatly, she understood he was also effectively a monster and barely cared for her as is. Without any parents left, a family or a tribe left, she dedicated herself to the Church though many are never able to look past the green-ish skin, the red eyes or the tusks, she tries to offer Lady Fireswords’s guidance to any who need it.
