This is Kludde's character

Hmm, I need to join also monkey table as a player? We are in the same format just switching roles?
Yes, you're a player in thoughfulmonkey's game and vice versa, so that we have four players at each table.

Hi, I would appreciate it if you would fill slides 3, and 4 please of the maps and handouts, safety tools apply to the scenario. You already introduced yourself so I will start tomorrow if ok.
skipped an introduction like Monkey this time, Do you check the characters before the session or only if it comes up when someone is using rare or restricted features?

![]() |

I generally don't check characters up front. If something unusual comes up during the game I might pause things to review the build.
Someone having a +20 to hit or a skill bonus or doing 20 points of damage with an attack might make m double check things but usually, I assume everything is going to be on the up and up.

BTW, for next time, you may want to find sheets specifically for Starfinder. The one you've got for this campaign is for Pathfinder 2e so some of the items don't apply (there's no Arcana skill in Starfinder, for example.)

Learning and teaching is what we're here for.
I'm looking for a Starfinder specific template to share with you.

GM not goblin |

Uri I see you are using a pathfinder template here. If you would like to switch to a simple starfinder template you can use this one.

The link is not working..

I'm not sure what to do now, I can give you the skills check or let the players describe their actions first. not convenient to me is the skills are in a list, not related to location (habitat, the entrance,
and the security feeds).
Don't worry too much about it. I think you'll find most players want to roll their own skill checks, so it's not strictly necessary to collect them in a template. I personally only collect perception and initiative rolls, since those are the ones I sometimes want to roll in bulk.
If you don't know what to do, I'd suggest: just try something out, see what works for you. we'll let you know if we get confused :-)

I don't have a survival skill result, I need to give something?
No, I was just taking a shot in the dark. You can instead just let us know what skill checks are available in that section.

@URI - try this link for the Starfinder template

Hey guys...I know it probably seems like I never work but I really do most of the time...just a lot of time away lately...
Speaking of...I'm taking Monday off to watch the Solar Eclipse, so I may post again over the weekend but likely won't again until Tuesday.

Cool and no-nonsense, thanks.

EbonFist |

Just checking if nobody is trained in life science. I will wait for EbonFist's character. Remember that his character is trained in computers and engineering.
I was using a different character in the last one.
903 doesn't have any of the pertinent skills.

GM not goblin |

Hmm, I feel like allowing the survival to see the life science check and because the crit for medicine allow a diplomacy check later to get help from Genaynin in the engineering or computer checks, is that OK? Technically not as written but don't think it is game breaking or something like that.. (will allow me to roleplay npc a little more so this is good?).

![]() |

Yes, I think you're good to move us along.
Given all the skills we DON'T apparently have, I begin to suspect we have a lot of overlap in the skills we DO have.

![]() |

The writers generally do a fairly good job of making a wide variety of skills useful in a scenario. It just turns out we don't have a wide variety of skills.

![]() |

Ok, then good luck with using what you are good at I guess.. I didn't though to talk about party composition actually..
It's very rare that anyone does discuss party composition before a Society game, especially a virtual one, honestly.
It would take too long, often people are limited in their options on what to bring and there isn't an option to discuss things and design characters that cover everything.
But that's part of the fun. You usually get at least one specialist in a skill who can easily achieve success but, every now and then, you get a bunch of people who are completely unsuited for the task and still have to find a way through.

![]() |

OK, sometime people are telling what options they can bring and you can always grab a pregen if you wanna.
I'm waiting for Obozaya check, not sure if and when to ask to bot..
24 hours is traditional.

AbadarCorp Entertainment |

I also use 24 hours. Note that the timestamps on the post (e.g. "Yesterday 07:31 am") are in Seattle time (Pacific US Time), so you might need to adjust according to your time zone (10 hours for IST, if I'm not mistaken)

![]() |

Also, keep in mind that, if it isn't a skill check that's vital to continue, you can just press on after 24 hours.
You can give the players the chance to make a check and then, if one or more of them doesn't after a 24 hour period, assume they saw the post but chose not to make the check.
The only time this isn't appropriate is if the check is required to continue the plot. Then, you bot.
