Agreed. I find wisdom in the words of my fellow dwarf companion; whether Grymwold leads the charge or follows one of Gronilda's arrows matters little to me as long as the result is a dead hobgoblin.

I'm all for minimizing GM strain. It sounds like we have a consensus on post order initiative.

'Uncle' Grymwold, if your campaign page is quiet, there is a recruitment with few applications thus far. It uses a different magic system, and is restricted to core classes and races, + aasimar and tiefling. The setting is a different universe too.

Archetypes are free game, i believe.

Thanks for the heads up :) I took a look at it and I'm not interested in learning ANOTHER magic system. Now if it was DSPs Psionics or Path of War that would be a different story

Luckily applicants are not required to take magic classes, it's just a plus if people do. With an arcane caster and divine caster already present, one could go free on non-casters.

Also, if anyone loves putting together or building spreadsheets, I'm not against letting someone take over running that portion.

If it gets to be a strain on you I often end up managing loot sheets for games I'm in at some point. Or if you want to make it editable and shared so that someone else can update it if you end up too busy at some point that could be helpful.

I've been updating the loot sheet, and I had a question. The loot listed for hobgoblins (mwk backpack, heavy crossbow etc.) - is that for each of them, or for both together?

When possible, I will prefer to remain in the middle lines. Otherwise, with 20 feet movement, I might have trouble to reach with a cure spell on a companion in need.

I agree with the order except that I'd have Ghost ahead of me, since his initial attack will likely be to charge, and I'll be hanging back from melee unless necessary.

I have created a slide with array rolls for Perception and Initiative which are the most usual done by the GM. That way each player can keep them updated when they level up and it is a bit less work for the GM :)

Yeah that would be why I haven't posted yet, since I may be reacting to the hobgoblins actions., If Lizzie is waiting for Grymwold like it says in her post, then she's delaying and drops down to after him in the initiative order.

Regretfully sneak attack only works up to 30 feet distance unless you have some special option like the deadly range talent.

On the positive side, slings deal strength damage, so Skalla's raging song should help a bit there :)


Thank you, I was just about to mention the raging song. Don't forget to accept or decline the song on your turn. Sadly, I'll have to take the sneak back.

I forgot to add the raging bonus damage to my own damage, haha.


Please check my record keeping on hp. After the last battle, I had Ghost down 4 and Skalla down 2. With Skalla's Rage active he would've gained that two back, but Ghost was still down , correct? I'll try to keep a better system of tracking.

What do you think about maybe Skalla and Lizzie posting already the next round of actions as they are coming before the hobgoblins have another chance to go anyway? It can help streamline posting with less waiting.

I've been absent from posting the past few days. Life has become hectic and I haven't made time for pbp. Bad news is, this seems to be a continuing theme with our house being built and working on the property. I'm sorry to say I'm going to need to retire this campaign. All of your characters are fantastic and I was exciting to watch them grow. I've just it off more than I can chew. Sorry for just getting you started and then dropping you.
