Chuffy slowly and deliberately turns his head to meet Chieftain Poog's glaze.
"I just spent nearly an hour in Pharsama's bedchamber in The Spire, and left before wiping her off. I am Beyond Fear, Chieftain Poog. I just want to get back to the tribe for our accolades."

Poog will wait for the subchieftains to move back, get just close enough that he can give the creature a dose of Zarongel's power if needed, and says in animal-speech, "Hey, want to let us take your stuff?" Mogmurch backs up the requested distance with his last bomb in his hands - just in case of course.

Chuffy watches on, dogslicer at the ready, behind Mogmurch. The goblin rogue understands the folly of standing in front of the alchemist.

Reta backs up just far enough, draws her bow and nocks a +1 flaming arrow. She' s ready to shoot as soon as the creature moves in PBS range.

Oh, come on, dice bot! :-/

Poog tries to talk to the creature in the structure under the house, but as before it either doesn't understand or ignores him.

Although the area under the house is 'cage like' the gaps between the 'bars' are pretty big, a goblin could easily move into and out of the area without any trouble. You suspect that the creature inside could probably squeeze out if it wanted to.

I've revealed the area under the house on the slides (area 5). Assuming you are expecting a combat, put yourselves on the map (That map of area 5 only shows the inside of the structure, so it may be worth using the main map if you are going to be attacking from range). If you are planning on attacking it, you can have a surprise round, however you can't see exactly where it is so you wouldn't be able to specifically target it (although you could AoE the area where you think it is).

I put Mogmurch on the map on Slide 7, is that the one you're referring to? I think Mogmurch is 30' from Poog but man are the grid lines on this map small! I'll put Chuffy near Mogmurch too.

The goblins get ready and then Poog unleashes the unholy power of Zarongel. From the structure under the house there is an angry roar “MNARRRRRR!”...

Dmg.: 1d4 - 1 + 2d6 ⇒ (2) - 1 + (6, 4) = 11

I'll assume that Chuffy started the fight in a slightly different position which would allow him to reach the cage like structure with a single move (as his current position on the map wouldn't work for that).

As Chuffy and Mogmurch ready their attacks, the creature under the house finally reveals itself and squeeze through one of the gaps between the poles holding up the structure, intent on killing Poog. As it does it is hit by both Mogmurch's bomb and Chuffy's dogslicer (Chuffy doesn't get the sneak damage as it is not flanked or flatfooted. I'm also assuming that Mogmurch excluded Chuffy from the splash damage).

The creature bellows in pain and then lashes out at Poog...

That thing is big and Mogmurch is going to throw the 5d6 fireball when Poog clears out. If Poog can move towards Mogmurch then Reta is far enough away I'll target the back square of the monster.

Reta takes her time to search thoroughly.

Taking 20 on Perception for a total result of 30 - takes 1 minute per 5 foot square.

Searching the bird creature's nest under the house our heroes locate six large eggs. The eggs look close to hatching. Perhaps if the goblins looked after them they could raise the baby 'bird creatures' as pets?

Bird Creature stabilisation rolls:
Bird Creature stabilisation: 1d20 + 4 - 6 ⇒ (10) + 4 - 6 = 8

Bird Creature stabilisation: 1d20 + 4 - 10 ⇒ (16) + 4 - 10 = 10

While they search the house the Bird Creature stabilises but is still very unconscious.

With the bird creature defeated, what do the goblins want to do now? They have explored everywhere except inside Princess Cracklings boat, where they suspect that pig who wants to live with goblins is. Poog gets the impression that the Princess may object to goblins trying to enter her 'palace', but they could maybe lure her away from the entrance with exotic food, or tunnel under the other side of the boat to get access?

For anyone who can speak pig:
"I'm happy here in my palace, why would I want to leave? The new miserable pig is always going on about wanting to live with 'goblins' (whatever they are) and wishing he still lived with them, but I've got everything I need here. Do you have any more food?"

Poog gets the impression that Princess Crackling is happy where she is. Unfortunately where she is right now is right across the only obvious way into the boat. She seems to like food, so maybe that could lure her away from the boat to allow someone to sneak in? Or it may be possible to dig under the boat, although Princess Crackling may not appreciate goblins interfering with her 'palace'.

Reta has a jar of pickled halfling toes just about ready for eating (equivalent to 1 day’s trail rations). And then we have some large eggs...

So we have a jar of pickled halfling toes and a juicy slug to get her to move just long enough to let the 'sad pig' out to join the goblins. Will it be enough?!?!

Mogmurch adds his juicy slug to Reta's jar and then starts looking for something to dig with - just in case.

Looking at their available snacks Reta and Mogmurch think that they could be 'exotic' enough to lure Princess Crackling away from the hole in the boat long enough for someone to sneak in and retrieve the other pig.

Annoyed, Chudffy tries to help by offering his jar of pickled alligator eyes to help lure Princess Crackling away.
