OSW: SO you get to add +1 to Strength for your Self-improvement
You did not pass your misadventure, so you need to roll 1d6 to see what has happened.
Next, you roll on the Events table (2d6). Once that is done, make a development check (Dexterity check vs DC 18). If you succeed, you may select another proficiency from your vocation's Improvement table. If you fail, nothing happens.
If it isn't already, add the vocation's feature to your list of possible features to choose from at the end of background generation.
Ear to the Ground: You are in frequent contact with people in the segment of society that your chosen quarries move through. These people might be associated with the criminal underworld, the rough-and-tumble folk of the streets, or members of high society. This connection comes in the form of a contact in any city you visit, a person who provides information about the people and places of the local area.

Hey everyone..sorry for the silence...Christmas swept me up and is only now giving me a little breather. I will be going over everyone's character in the next few days and moving us onwards!! I think next time if will be better as a one-on-one sort of thing done all at once. What are your thoughts so far??
Happy Holidays to everyone and I hope you have a great time with family and friends!!

I’m not sure it would need to be 1 on 1, but a little prior explanation of the scope of particular events/parts would help - you can see where my questions about Seasons showed a lack of foresight which impacted choices a little.
The only other point I would make is that where anyone doesn’t have the rules to consult, to keep it in sections as you did, and only move forward as all participants complete the current section.
Actually - one more point - with no campaign setting to guide me I felt a little lost - eapecially given I had chosen an Elf, so, for example - “Rustic” to my mind evokes everything from “in this world, all demihumans are essentially cultureless and thus fit into any low-tech subsistence level Earth-analogous social structure” to “xenophobes who live in treehouses” to “the gamut of Tolkienesque elvenry so possibly acorn herders or spiderhunter-gatherers” etc etc. Not a big problem, but enough to cause a little pause now and then.

Yeah 1 on 1 I don't think is needed - just hold points when we hit specific milestones in the background generation.
If someone (cough - me) ends up holding up progression you can plough ahead and then bring them up to speed in a more one off situ.
Think its holding up well - like OSW do wonder if its better run against a specific setting backdrop that gives race/class/background choices more clarity and relevance?

Okay...so I have been thinking about how to finish this character generation easily and I think I will have to approach it on a one-to-one for now. We will finish up completely each of you separately if you are still interested.
Start with you Black Dow?? Or whoever is still interested??
