Obahi |
Obahi steps up, crouching down again and joining his hands to form tearing fangs from his fingers. He thrusts them into the snake's body to rip it apart.

Obahi moves in, hits it twice, obliterating it.
Combat Over
TechoWrath |
You now have two paths you can take. Southwest or East. See Slide 5
Obahi |
"Does anyone of you know where these lead?" Obahi looks at the collective of survivors. "Where are we going? Which way to the surface?"
He wipes his hands into his clothing as he looks around curiously.
Solras Pirhatya |
"You think I know? I'm from the Deadshot Lands, I have no idea where we are besides underneath Kenabres!" Clearly a little agitated about this suddenly happening to what was supposed to be a celebration, Solras sighs to herself. "Any of y'all know which way is which?", the ruffled Amurrun says to the rest of the group of survivors.
Virgil Geryon |
Virgil nods at the obliterated snake.
Well either direction is better than just staring at each for inspiration. Amyone know what lies above in either direction?
TechoWrath |
Aravashnial says, "I've heard of tunnels beneath Kenabres, but no one has accessed them for generations."
Anevia shrugs her shoulders and comments, "I've not even heard of those tunnels. But tunnels and parts of old cities are common in established cities."
Horgus Gwerm glares at Anevia and spits out, "How should I know. I'd never come to such places." He brushes off his cloak and continues, "If you folk can get me out of here and safe, you can get a reward."
You could try Mendev Lore, but the information is likely to be more general, rather than specific. Kenabres Lore would be helpful. Possibly also Worldwound Lore. Maybe Crusade Lore. You could try Society or Archeology Lore, but the DCs will be higher.
Obahi |
"Right. Nobody knows this place. Cool. Do we put a hand on one wall while we walk and make marks on the walls or floor? I have no idea whether this is some sort of ancient labyrinth or not."
Do these caverns seem like carved halls or natural caverns?
TechoWrath |
So far, it appears to be natural caverns and tunnels.
BTW, I will not be requiring you to create maps of your own. I will attempt to provide enough information at every decision point.
Virgil Geryon |
Virgil nods at the Sage advice given by Obahi.
Good idea!
The Magus then casts Prestidigitation then he colors an arrow-shaped spot on the southwestern wall.
TechoWrath |
My assumption is that you all will go to the southwest.
Slide 5 has been updated. It is marked as area A3.

In this part of the cavern, a stone ledge juts out at a right angle on the south wall of this cavern, fourteen feet off the ground. The leather strap of a backpack hangs from the edge of the ledge, while above, a narrow fissure yawns up into the dark.
It looks like the ledge is climbable, but, it might be a bit difficult.
Virgil Geryon |
Virgil walks amongst the rubble strewn about, the Orc's earthbreaker laying on his shoulder.
Anyone feel like springing that trap up there?
The Magus just waits for whomever volunteers.....
Token disappears when I attempt to place on Map?
TechoWrath |
Token disappears when I attempt to place on Map?
I've moved the map to the back. That problem should be fixed.
TechoWrath |
The rocks are slippery enough that Avenger of the Green is unable to climb up to the ledge.
Solras Pirhatya |
Athletics (T): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Solras starts to climb up to the ledge in front of her, putting the Harmona on its usual sling for storage while she climbs. "I'm up for it, potentially!" She takes a look over to make sure nothing is going to come out and kill her before preceding, however.
TechoWrath |
The backpack contains two weeks of rations, a flint and steel, a set of caltrops, two flasks of oil, a bundle of 12 arrows, a Minor Healing Potion, and a Potion of Restoration.
TechoWrath |
Your sole remaining route is east past the cavern where you fought the cave viper (A4).
After traveling the winding route for about 1,900 feet (at a speed of 15 feet through the rough cavern passages, this takes about 25 minutes to navigate), you reach the tunnel’s end at a junction.
To the north, a 5-foot-wide opening in the wall leads into a cave filled with soft but nasty-looking green light—the tunnel itself continues
south.
Which way do you go? North or South?
Obahi |
"Oh, we're already circling around." Obahi mumbles to nobody in particular when they stumble upon the viper again. "Right. Hand on the wall..." he puts his left hand on the cave wall and starts moving down the cave.
At intersections, he spills some water on the floor to find out which way is up. (If possible.)
Obahi would suggest taking whatever route that would allow him to move without taking his hand off the wall. For now, at least.
Solras Pirhatya |
Obahi seems to know what he's doing, Solras thinks to herself as she follows behind the Dromaar. "I'll just be following behind you, Obahi," the mercenary says. She's entirely out-of-her-element in these closed, cramped caves, and the uncomfortability on her face shows it.
TechoWrath |
You move north, toward the green light.

A single sizable 20-foot-tall building remains in the center of this 30-foot-high cave, a bunkerlike structure with no windows and walls of worked stone blocks. A 10-foot-long carving of a hammer decorates the building’s facade. The ruins of collapsed outbuildings stand to either side.
On the side of the building a fly the size of a pony sees you, and begins to advance.

Solras sets up a shot, waiting for the fly to move to a more advantageous spot. But, by setting up the shot, Solras is no longer hidden.

Avenger of the Green strikes at the fly, it Avoids the Swat and flies 15 feet north latching on to the side of the building.
Obahi walks around the fly and the first half of Obahi's flurry strikes the fly.
Because the fly moved as a reaction, it is now too far away from Virgil for Virgil to cast shield, move twice, and strike. If you don't mind, I will have Virgil cast shield and move twice into flanking position.
