Burnhams dances while Trober rattles his tambourine, gaining the respect from Bluepaw, who like a good comeback as much as the next guy. Finally it's time for the Brenneri's second performance.

Ladies and gentleman, the evening is almost over, so let me introduce the members of the band, who have been such great sports. On the Tambourine, shaking as if his life depends on it: Trober Dorf! Out on the dancefloor, he zigs when he should have zigged, Burnham Keynon! Lighting and magic, the Mesmerizing Luce 'Stella' Lumen. And finally, they may be gray but their voice has color! Loki De Orilla!

With the loud crashing bang comes a bright blue flash and a puff of smoke. When the smoke clears, Bluepaw is gone, leaving only a small blue glowing device, one that the starfinders immediately recognise as a data tag. There's a small note attached to it

The crowd goes wild, and shouts Encore! Encore! More! We want more!

Stella picks up the datatag and is quite happy to launch into a rendition of The Ballad of Transport 18

Luce performs an encore, until she is disrupted by a rumbling sound.

Remember the Galaxy’s Largest Ball of Twine? Well, all that singing about unstoppable forces and immovable objects seem to have inspired it. It thas unlodged itself from its pedestal, and is now rolling precariously in the direction of a rope bridge connecting the plaza with the - now empty - pedestal.

Completely oblivious to the danger coming for them, there are four tourists still on the bridge, taking picture of the scenic landscape.

Diplomacy or intimidate to urge a tourist to move (separate checks for every tourist) or your can physically grab them as standard action. You probably have a few rounds before the ball crosses.

You probably also want to stop the ball before it reaches the plaza: create a barrier with engineering, or push it with athletics. You can also cut the ropes, though anyone still on the bridge plummets down into the depths below.

Loki, without missing a beat, attempts to construct a makeshift barricade to stall the ball's break for freedom.

Engineering: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (5) + 14 = 19.

Luci rushes up, grabs the nearest tourist, and drags them off the bridge. She'll apologise later.

For once it's Loki putting up a barricade, and it looks like it might be sturdy enoug to stop the ball from rolling over the plaza. There is still the issue of the tourists on the bridge, and Luce rushes in to grab one.

Burnham follows the lashunta unto the bridge, his armor makes him slower than Luce, so he stops at the first tourist he comes to and shouts at them.

"Get your sorry ass off the bridge before you're squashed flat!"

Intimidate: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Even armor and weapons can't make Burn fearsome emough to compel obediance. Next turn I'll drag them away.

Trober wants to cower in fear, but seeing the rest of the team take action he feels the peer pressure to do so also.

He moves to the bridge and grabs a tourist.

"Try not to panic and please come with me," he says in a panicked voice.

Trober takes matters into his own hands after Burnham fails to convince the tourist to bail.

I've moved Trober to tourist 3

The ball of twine keeps rolling forward, advancing to the first tourist, who just seems to be utterly oblivious to the incoming danger.

Seeing that one of the tourists is about to be squashed flat, Loki rushes forward, and grabs them.

Loki puts himself selflessly in harms way by running straight up to the massive ball of twine!

Luce says to the tourist and she drags them off.

diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

Burn swings his tourist like they're in a square dance to get them facing the right way. "Do SI DO!"

Then he starts pushing the tourist with hie near hand behind their back while his opposite hand crosses his body to grab the tourist's arm and guide and pull them along.

If I just grab them do I still need an intimidate roll?

"Don't panic, I said DON'T PANIC!!!" Trober yells in a voice that clearly shows that he is panicking.

Once you've grabbed a tourist, you don't need any further roll, and you can move up to your speed.

Luce scoots off with a tourist, and so does Burnham.

Trober! Snap out of it! Pick the reality were you and the tourist *don't* get squashed by a giant ball of twine!

I am pretty certain you did not mean to bold me, but if you did, I will take the tourist, and run.

Yeah, you're right, that was a mistake...

I'll just assume that Trober meant to bail with the tourist...

The ball of twin rolls onward, bumping into Loki

Bludgeoning damage: 4d12 + 4 ⇒ (5, 1, 2, 7) + 4 = 19 I also need a DC 15 Reflex save to avoid becoming entangled in the ball

Loki deflect the path of the ball enough for the tourist not to be crushed. Instead, the unfortunate traveler is bumped to the side, off the bridge, and only manages to hang on with some ropes.

To save the tourist, I need an athletics check to heave 'em back up, or some inventive way of rescuing the tourist. They won't hold on for long...

Yes, Trober is good at running away, even with a tourist with him.

"Oh god, someone help that last tourist."

Trober has a -1 modifier in Athletics.

Reflex: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18.

Narrowly avoiding being crushed, Loki tries to haul up the tourist...

Athletics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21.

...and does a surprisingly good job!

Loki manages to grab the panicked tourist, pull them up and rushes them to safety. The unstoppable ball of twine then hits the immovable object that is Loki's barrier, and the ball doesn't seem to be so unstoppable at all, much to the benefit of the shocked tourists on the plaza, who get to live another day.

There's a tangled mess of ropes under the bridge, with a lashunta man tangled inside. Looks like you finally found Envar!

Atop the roof of one of Gruddonar’s stilt-perched buildings, a lashunta man waves. “Hello hey, Envies, beachgoers, and lovers of tunes! Gruddonar’s well-known as a tourist town, but I bet most people don’t know these stilts also make for great base jumping! Some people might be here to see the Galaxy’s Largest Ball of Twine, but I think we can do more than just look!” He pats a length of twine woven into his harness, blows a kiss to the camera, and jumps off the building. On the way down, he calls, “Check out the upcoming episode of Envar’s Expeditions for more!”

Frankly, Loki is tempted to leave Envar there. He can become a new tourist attraction :-P On a more serious note...

Surprised to discover Envar quite literally hanging around, Loki thinks long and hard about retrieving him, before finally deciding that completing the mission is more important than a petty, personal grudge.

Come on - let's get you out of here...

Aw .. Trober ... we're on a planet with clear skies, sandy beaches and nice warm water to swim in. Are you really going to deny me that pleasure? Besides, it seems like you need a vacation, relax, lie on the beach, paddle in the surf, have FUN. That's what I aim to do replies the bikini clad Luce.

The group seems to hesitate for a moment, but then decides to haul up the Envar. The Lashunta makes it up to the plaza, straightens his clothing and asks How does my hair look?

Envar shakes his hair out of his eyes with a flourish. “Wait, Mom thought I was in trouble? That’s kind of a leap. I mean, my v-logs have been pretty comprehensive on what I’ve been up to! Doesn’t she watch my show? Actually...”

Whoah! Groovy rope burns, man! he looks at the battered-looking Loki. Hey did you do manage to do the Ultra-Xtreme-Base-Jump? How si it? Been wanting to try that one out, makes for a good piece of bonus material!

He chuckles, looking sheepish. “A couple of her messages mentioned she hoped I’d come back to Arch Energy. Can you imagine me sitting at a desk in a suit and tie? Yikes! I’m happy working on my v-log! Maybe I should have said something to her about it, I guess, but sheesh, I didn’t think she’d send a search party after me.”

If you want to convince Envar to contact his mother, I need a diplomacy or intimidate check

Loki starts muttering about 'extraordinary rendition', and 'alive at the cellular level still counts, right?'. Fortunately, he still retains the presence of mind to have his 'fixer' step-up, and try to convince Envar to talk to his mother.

"If you converse with her once in a while, proving that you are alive, she won't send bothersome people after you."

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13.

Reroll: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 5 + 2 = 21.

Yeah, yeah Envar says sheepishly, I suppose I'll check in yeah.

Piloting the ship back to Absalom from a rather wild tourism tour of Near Space, the group receives an incoming hail from @dealmaker with a forwarded message from Ilia Tamm Great work, team! Ilia was most pleased that you found Envar, and even managed to convince him to contact her. She is in our debt, and it's good to have an influentual ally like that. Well done, Radaszam out.

Luci tells the story of meeting a fellow Envie on Daimako. She also admits to being @WarriorPrincess. She ends up telling Envar the whole story of their travels while on his trail.

And hopefully we sorted out those guys on Nemenar that you owed money to so you don't have to worry about them any more

And I apologize for laming out toward the end. Real life holiday stuff started early this year.

Burnham feels the familiar post-mission letdown. It's accentuated this time by his inability to help more on the bridge. He second's Luce's suggestion to take a few days on the beach.
