General Notes:
I try to post every day to keep things moving, and if you can keep a similar pace, that would be great. We all have real life interruptions of course, so if you can't post and we're in the middle of something like a combat, please give me bot instructions or I'll assume your PC does Total Defense. Because this is a convention game and we have a fixed deadline, we may need to move a bit faster than normal.
Please place a good array of information in your character header. Knowing your PC's EAC/KAC, Perception mod, Initiative mod, etc., saves me a lot of time when doing posts. If you need help figuring out how to format that, we can help you.
If you want to earn extra GM love and you're not playing a pre-gen, posting a full character sheet in your profile is great. That way I can look stuff up and answer my own "how did they do that?" questions. Related, if you have some crazy weird or complicated build and want to explain anything, here's a good place.
You'll need a picture of your character for the grid scenes.
Finally, role-playing is good! Please give your PC some personality and engage with the other PCs and NPCs. I'll gently move us along if we're dwelling too much in one part of the scenario.
Any questions, ask away!

Hi Matthew, welcome! We'll happily help you out with play-by-post on the Paizo forums.
For your first question, once we get going I'll put a link to a Google Slideshow where I'll place handouts and maps. You'll be able to copy a picture there from any source (as a default, I just copy over each PC's picture from Gameplay, but that's not mandatory).
We'll be playing at subtier 9-10.

Just got back from a work trip and now working on the weeklong project of "make sure all my characters are up to date". Which includes Kneepuncher, who is indeed 9th level, just not here yet.

![]() |

Okay, ready to go. A couple of notes for the GM:
Kneepuncher is large when in his powered armor (which should be most of the time).
He has a number of feats and abilities that he can use to protect allies (Bodyguard, Grab Attention, Mitigate, Intervene) and will use them liberally, since he figures that he's tougher than anyone he travels with (and with all the magic in this party, he's almost certainly right). I'll try to note when it is relevant and put notes in the profile.
Finally, a question of GM interpretation, since I have never seen a clear answer: Kneepuncher has the Possessed Augmentation boon, which reduces the full attack penalty on attacks by that arm by 1. He also has multiweapon Fighting, which reduces the full attack penalty by 1 when attacking with two different operative melee weapons. The question is, could he attack with a fist and elbow from that arm (using entropic strike) and have both reductions apply? I've had both rulings in the past, so whatever you say is fine with me.

GM Jhaeman |

@Kneepuncher: An interesting question. I'm going to say "no" just because the math for Starfinder is pretty tight, and making multiple attacks in a round easier (without clear guidance from a dev) could be a bit OP. Yes, if you have a lot of abilities that are reactions (like Bodyguard), please let me know during each encounter when or if you would activate them; they can be tricky to administer in play-by-post.
@Everyone: Okay, let's get started! Please make sure I have the necessary details for your PC (SFS #, etc.) in the spreadsheet.

Personal Boon slot: (not relevant in game)
Promotional Boon slot: Do you do this in PbP Convention? I have the t-shirt.
I am surprised that none of the chronicles boon were relevant.

![]() |

Boons are on my profile.
I've never had someone not allow a shirt re-roll at a PBP, but that's the GM's call. (I've also had a GM say everyone gets the reroll online because they can't prove otherwise, but have been informed that this is not appropriate.)

![]() |

Yeah the T-Shirt boon worth noting.
Known Quality=triple day jobs.
Publicist bonuses to profession, culture and diplomacy equal to my rank which is 4.

Internet down at home (the month were I'm daddy at home of course) and my phone is not working well either... my posting is slowed by a lot (to say the least), sorry for that.

GM Jhaeman:
I know one of them is acting before I am in round 3.
I currently have Corona up. Any creature that starts its turn next to me will take 5 fire damage (half my total level)
If they attack me, Corona will deal them 2d6 fire damage in return if they hit, and my Electrostatic Field Mk2 will also deal 2d6 Electrical damage in return if they hit. Im totally okay with you rolling both if it helps you out.
I also have Coordinated Shot Feat so if anyone gets a clear line to the one north of me they will get a +1 bonus to their attack rolls.

I don't think tools would apply to Gil-Oloth's rolls. The trapsmith's tools only apply to Engineering and Mysticism, and the Hacking Kit does not provide a bonus.

Okay Im going to try and be creative here. Can I pirch myself on the edge of the damage pit. Meglos is fully attuned to the graviton on his turn. He would like to put his wormholes on the adjacent point so that if people could fall down they fall into the wormhole itself and then appear dumped at the other end instead of where they would normall fall in? Ill try and draw it on the slide. Ill put the text of wormshole stellar revelation below.
When you’re fully graviton-attuned, you can create two linked wormholes as a standard action. One wormhole must be adjacent to you, and the other appears anywhere in line of sight within medium range (100 feet + 10 feet per solarian level). Each wormhole is 5 feet across and appears at an intersection between two squares. You and any Large or smaller creatures you mentally designate (you can designate “all creatures,” “all lashuntas,” or similar categories) can travel between the wormholes. This is considered extradimensional travel. Entering a wormhole instantly transports a creature to a square adjacent to the other wormhole’s intersection, where the creature can continue its movement. The wormholes remain for 1 round for every 2 solarian levels you have. At 17th level, you can create three wormholes using this ability, and upon entering the wormhole, a creature can decide which of the other two wormholes to exit.

This is a bit of a connected item to revelation topic.
In round 3 Meglos becomes attuned fully to the Graviton. As such Wormholes becomes available
Meglos also has an X-Ray Visor. Ill put the information just below.
This sensor is worn as an adjustable viewer resting over the eyes, like goggles or thick glasses. It sends out X-rays and interprets the information gathered as an image it imposes over your normal vision. This grants sense through (vision), though it is blocked by materials one-fifth as dense as those that block normal sense through (2 feet of wood or plastic, 1 foot of stone, 2 inches of common metal, or 1 inch of lead or any starmetal) and limits you to black-and-white vision while in use. You don't gain the benefit of any other special visual senses (such as lowlight vision) while the visor is active, and you can't attempt sight-based Perception checks beyond 60
id like to try and pair it with wormholes. So I fully attuned, use a charge to see through the door (this will be the important part) and then connect a worm hole to both sides of the door (our side and the hopefully safe side)
Ive put the text for the Wormhole Zenith below:
When you’re fully graviton-attuned, you can create two linked wormholes as a standard action. One wormhole must be adjacent to you, and the other appears anywhere in line of sight within medium range (100 feet + 10 feet per solarian level). If possible this turn Id like to use a change on the visor and see if I can see through the door, this will make me able to use this scheme or not. THat means everyone else can jump through the wormhole too!
