Works for me. And a Hero Point for Murph!

Murph leads the way through the desert. After about four hours, the party comes across something. A small, shaded oasis stands in the valley
created by several dunes. Underneath palm trees, several individuals work quickly to take down tents and pack up a temporary encampment. A robed figure stands at the center of the camp, directing the flurry of activity.

They’re in the process of hurriedly striking camp. The apparent leader is displeased with his lackeys’ failures and berates them as they work. It looks like a group of bandits, though there is one person the Pathfinders recognize--the toymaker Brinna.

It looks like Murph's tracking skills mean the Pathfinders haven't fallen far behind.

The bandits, it transpires, are not willing to surrender. In fact, the Pathfinders don't even get that far. The man in the robe points at them as they approach and yells, "You idiots! You were followed--kill them!" He doesn't stick around, though. He casts a spell and vanishes into the air.

The bandits seem a little startled by this development.
"How did they catch up??"
"Did Anavras just ditch us?"
(All enemies are Frightened 1, and they won't reduce their Frightened levels below 1 for three rounds.)
Nonetheless, they start reaching for their weapons. Most of them wear studded leather armor and are armed with falchions and crossbows. One, who seems as excited as frightened by the aspect of a fight, wears only padded armor and reaches for her hammer. (Black. I'll swap the token for one that actually looks different later tonight.). Brinna is similarly equipped; technically she has no armor or weapon, but her leather apron should provide some light protection and her hammer wouldn't be much less effective than one made for combat (actually, given how comfortable it is in her hand, the tool might be more effective).

The quickest of the bandits, who has a pink hat, glares at Ra'Ul and draws his crossbow. He looses a bolt, but it goes far wide.

As Murph stabs the thug with the hammer, her nearby ally watch's his movements carefully. He draws his crossbow and takes a shot which grazes Murph's shoulder badly.

The next bandit... can't see exactly what's going on past the tents, since the camp is still set up. Drawing his weapon, he makes his way closer.

Brinna already has her hammer in hand, since hers is a tool. Nonetheless she hurries towards Ra'Uf and swings it fiercely as a cudgel. "You're not supposed to be here! I didn't learn anything useful!" But her hand shakes as she swings, and her attack is off-target.

The remaining bandit moves around the tent for a clear shot and fires at Ra'Uf. This attack does hit, but it's not as careful a shot as the other bandits made.
Brinna Strides twice and Strikes. She misses due to the Frightened penalty. The last bandit Strides, draws his crossbow, and Strikes. He hits, but the damage is a bit lower because he didn't take an action to Hunt Prey: 11 piercing damage

Esoteric Warden:
When you apply antithetical material against a creature successfully, you also ward yourself against its next attacks. When you succeed at your check to Exploit a Vulnerability, you gain a +1 status bonus to your AC against the creature's next attack and a +1 status bonus to your next saving throw against the creature; if you critically succeed, these bonuses are +2 instead. You can gain these bonuses only once per day against a particular creature, and the benefit ends if you Exploit Vulnerability again.

Farryn strides up and dismissively waves his hand. A shocking blast of electricity arcs between two of the bounty hunters, "Just run, it'll be the smart thing to do."

He frowns at Brinna, "That's disappointing. Evil for stupid reasons is still just stupid. At least do it for a sure thing."

"Naw, it's working gr--ow!"
Angvim's boomerang hits the bandit hard. He does manage to avoid most of the electrical blast, though his companion with the green boots isn't as quick.

Successful Exploitation, though he doesn't have any Weakness. And that's a hit. He makes his Reflex save, though Green fails.

"Aw, don't worry, I'm sure you'll catch up eventually!" The bandit moves back away from Ra'Uf while loading his crossbow. If he was trying to throw him off, it wasn't very effective--and neither is his shot, which is far too high.

Running Reload, Demoralize which fails, and Strike which misses.

"Boss? What makes you think I'm the--!?" Brinna's words are cut off abruptly as Murph catches her, focused entirely on her new injury.

Aldonza certainly got the attention of the bandit next to her. He steps back away from her while loading his crossbow, studies her for a moment, and then fires point-blank.
Running Reload, Hunt Prey, and crit! 14 piercing and 8 precision damage.

The bandit Angvim was focused on returns the favor. He loads his crossbow, bellows a warcry that comes off like a frightened squeak, and fires the bolt into the sand between them.
Reload, critically failed Demoralize, failed Strike.

I critted Black with the Shortsword, and the Shortsword crit specialization would have been to make Black Off-Guard until the start of my next turn.

Brinna's Influence resistance was using the same skill twice, because she's not learning anything new about you. Higher Influence could have made her reconsider her side, though.

Farryn's spell catches the blue bandit unprepared. The man in orange, though, vaults heroically over the arc of the spell, avoiding it entirely. He seems as surprised as anyone else.

Brinna seems a little shakier under Angvim's words. "W-we can still beat you!" she says defiantly.
His attack is also a little shaky, though, and the bandit doesn't even seem to realize it was aimed at him.

The bandit in the pink hat steps back from Ra'Uf while loading his crossbow, firing it as he moves and loads again.
He's clearly too focused on moving quickly and staying out of reach. Despite the short range, the bolt only sends sand flying.

The first does not miss. I know everyone expects the named enemy to be the strongest, but she's lower level than the bounty hunters.

Brinna was also bleeding well enough on her own, but after Murph's attacks she decides to do so from closer to the sand.

The bandit in orange, confronted by several enemies, tries to keep his focus on Angvim. He steps away from Aldonza as he reloads, and fires his crossbow. The bolt hits, but Angvim's magic protects fairly well and the bolt skips away leaving only a scratch. The bandit grumbles as he moves further back, reloading again.
7 piercing plus 5 precision damage. Since precision increases the base damage that's 12 - 8 = 4.

When the surrender is declared, she looks almost disappointed. ”I should have taken that bet”, she says to Farryn.

As she approaches the bandit in orange, she deftly twirls her scabbard, tosses it spinning into the air, catches it, and sheathes her sword. Extending her hand, she says, ”I’ll take that, thank you!”

The rest of the bandits continue honoring the surrender, dropping their crossbows and handing over their other weapons as requested.

"We were hired by a hedge wizard named Anavras to come into the desert and summon the elementals to try and destroy the camp," says one of the bandits.

"We know he wanted control of Star but don’t know exactly why," Brinna continues, "other than to have a powerful war machine under his control. I was supposed to be learning weaknesses of the camp's defenses. They attacked way too soon! I hadn't even really learned anything, let alone sent word back."

"Nothing new then, some nut thirsty for power with no qualms about using the life of others just to gain power." he says as he looks at Brianna and the rest of the bandits with regret.

"You should know that if it was not today, it would've been tomorrow. There's nothing down the road you are following. You either get killed by someone stronger than you or you get too strong and your employer decides to kill you before you can get rid of him. It's the same thing every single time as you study those who've lived before us."

He then looks at the rest of his own group, wondering what are they going to do with these people. "What now?" he asks.

As the Pathfinders prevented the bandits from taking down their camp, this seems a comfortable place to rest before making the return journey. If they want to bring the captured bandits with them but don't trust them, most of the bandits are carrying manacles.
