It feels like the 'fifteen seals' have more to do with the Zorg or Drakes 'chackras' than they do the ghosts. Is that the case GM Wolf? Or do the 'fifteen' seals have to do with the ghosts?

Congratulations GM, hope you had a great day! Sorry if I had been too much absent. I read posts every day, but often it gets into midnight and I don't want to delay sleeping too much.

"One of fifteen" felt bit ambiguous to me. Whixh seals did Drake refer to?

;)
Shhhh! I won't tell, you will have to find out Borak!

I understand Visayn, you are not the only one absent...

Visayn you could ask...

I will move us forward into the prison later when I have my Chromebook.

You know, when I saw the part about the building being structurally unstable, all I could think of was this.

Yes each square is 10 feet.

Which way do you head? Which room do you come to.first? Valliard are you lead8ng them to the areas you haven't been?

It was directed to Val. Lectrum might want to try the new weapon and fast healing. (You know, put everyone else's lives at risk to try something exciting.)

So ummm... I sure hope the NPCs don't have to take point. Lead the group and such.

well, since the hallway is 10 ft, Borak was taking point beside Lectrum, But I got confused. Valiard and Lecturm has been here before, Valiard said go right, then Lectrum started asking about going left, both in game and here. So I was waiting for them to decide. If neither post in a bit, I will have Borak go right, but I didn't want to step on their toes.

Yeah I know confusing. Someone has to step on a few toes otherwise we are not going anywhere. In that case bad things happen.

Merry Christmas make a wish for your character!

I have to get the Thanksgiving bonuses out too!

Sweet treat/dessert, +2 bonus skill points

A Christmas wish? To understand Ramada? So maybe Wisdom? :-)

No Lectrum, trust me don't make that wish!

Since my favorite thanksgiving food is my daughters sweet potatoes, and I call it desert because of the crumble I guess it's + 2 bonus skills. As for a wish....Maybe + 1 to Con?

You could also wish for a belt of the bear, which increases your Con by +2 or +4. Though the flat +1 would let you buy your own magical items. Your choice.

Drake won't be taking a wish as his has already come true.

Merry (belated) Christmas to those who celebrate! Apologies for the delay in posting, as I've been rather busy with family reunions and the like. As for favorite foods, I can never resist green bean casserole - it's one of my favorites - so I suppose that's a +1 to Con?

Lectrum wrote:

In fairness, not even I know what he's saying half the time. I think I remember that one of the Paizo splatbooks had a certain quote about Taldor - something like "If you need to keep something hidden forever, claim it’s urgent and hand it to a government official." Similarly, if you want to ensure nobody understands a fact, tell it to Ramada and ask him to explain it to everyone.

Seeing as I made the green beans for the giant family get together I would have to say green beans almondine for the +1 Con.

;p

Lecturn... here goes to getting rid of that horsechopper or at least having it be a backup:
Cold Iron Waraxe +1 of ghost touch, you will find it among the items in the secret vault.

Sounds good Borak, +1 to Con! Done and apply! Maybe it is conferred by touching a certain item among the bits and bobs.

Okay, I understand that Carrion Crown is supposed to be a horror AP, but it's so hard to take it seriously with so many references to comedy movies!

It might just be an issue with me - I prefer the Mel Brooks versions of Dracula and Frankenstein to the serious ones - but to a certain extent, I suppose it's something to do with the horror RPG genre as a whole, as I've seen many similar instances where humor is spliced into horror games. For instance, Call of Cthulhu actually has some quite funny parts to it, such as when you try to push an Auto Use check at low SAN: the other players just find you behind the wheel of a parked car, making "vroom, vroom" noises like a small child.

As for a wish, I think I'll go with Physician's Spectacles. They stack well with Ramada's deathwatch SLA, and I have no doubt that being able to detect subtle threats like diseases and poisons will be useful against a secretive organization like the Whispering Way.

Magdali you still with us?

Sounds good Ramada.

Sorry folks, I posted my question about 'clearing the chapel' on Tuesday. No one gave a specific answer so Saturday I recommended we move on. At this pace were posting twice a week or less, can we pick the pace up?

Again, my sincerest apologies - I wrote the post itself on Thursday (with a few minor tweaks), but due to a hectic schedule and several late nights at the lab, I've been falling asleep at the keyboard before I get the chance to post. I've barely had time to skim the forum, so I'm afraid I missed that part.

On that topic, I wanted to check in with everyone about how my character's been going. It seems like his erratic actions are often seen as annoying by the other members of the party, but when I asked about it here, Magdali and Børak stated that they enjoyed his antics. Quite frankly, I myself have had a lot of trouble getting into the character - he went in a very different direction from what I had originally planned, and it's very difficult to get into the mindset for his current behavior. Unfortunately, with my relative inexperience at PbP, I am unsure of what to do - I was hoping the other players would give the okay for me to run him more normally, or I could bow out of this game if he's already too disruptive.

The doctor and I both, have had hectic schedules. Sorry for my lack of posting. I hope to get ahead and keep the room descriptions coming.

I believe most of what you say the characters and maybe even the players struggle with the concepts. I know you are just throwing in 'pezaz', I am loving it.

Okay now to be real with you all, I am loving the interactions the players are having with each other. You use such good descriptions and help with the ambiance of 'horror'. Keep it up folks you are doing great!

Now Ramada if you do want to tone him down... how would tasing yourself with your stick do? Also I can have Sly slip over and sip a bit of your blood so you are more aimable... options, just options. You choose and we are here to help, please, please, ask more questions! That is the only way to get better. ;)

Again, my sincerest apologies

No need to apologize, I was just pointing out that I posted on Tuesday, Visayn posted on Thursday, the GM posted on Friday telling us there may be swarms in the chapel and Lectrum posted on Saturday asking if he should use his ranged weapon. Borak has no way of fighting swarms and the closest anyone got to answering his question about clearing the chapel was Lectrum asking is he should use ranged weapons.

So, On Saturday I posted that Borak 'Shut the door' (Lectrum your right it's off its hinges.) Then went and looked at the stairs. Valiard then posted Saturday that we should 'move on' I believe checking the first level becuase he said to work our way back to the chapel.

My criticism is first that no one clearly had an opinion about what to do until Valiard on Saturday after my post where I moved on. Then After two of us had started to move, the doctor retconned the actions. Ramada's post would have been perfect on Thursday, but on Saturday it now nullifies two other players posts.

My recommendation would be that when anyone posts they move the action along: have an opinion, answer questions, take an action, leave a hook for people to respond to and if you want to do something, say so in character. A perfect example:

Lectrum wrote:

"You mean UNLIMITED intellect!"

I'd say Offices next and yes to picking up the pace a bit.

Lectrum posts a statement in reference to the doctors comment. Then out of character commented about where to go. I now know his thoughts, but Borak doesn't. It would have been just as easy for him to post it in response to Borak's and Valiars earlier posts, saying something like "Valiards right, lets check the offices instead of going down stairs." It would have given the characters something to respond to. Even better would have been if he'd taken an action that direction. I'm not trying to throw Valiard under the bus, there are several recent posts that I could have used, it was just the last one.

Maybe I'm just trying to go too fast. With the GM posting several rooms at a time I tend to want to move along quickly. I will stop trying to do that and will do a room at a time and try to ask singular questions.

Honestly I skim your posts and look for anything Borak would respond to. If you want to tweak your character, feel free to do so. We want you to enjoy playing him. If you need an in game reason to do it, give him a mental disorder of some sort, so you can change him again if you want to. We'll all go with it.
