I think the other assassin minion is dead, if so Lyra takes his space.
Enraged at the man attacking a defenseless woman, Lyra steps adjacent to the assassin's boss. "Put down the blade and live, or keep pushing it and die." she cries, marking him as her newest target.
Either way, she stabs at him with her longsword, determined to at least wound the man and get his attention.

Brightberry looks about the carnage and winces. "I have healing berries for the hurts that bandages won't fix. I'm still learning my herbal remedies and can't help with bandages, though." He says sheepishly.
While others are using their medicine skills, Bightberry will use his detect magic to locate any interesting items. He will then use his Goodberry spells to help any still injured.

Edoom |

Edoom looks at the Leshy and nods with a smile. "You kept me up that last combat. For that you have my thanks. I too lack skills in bandaging wounds. I usually prefer to keep them from occurring in the first place".
He then looks around as the party catches it's breath. He turns his attention to Tertuccio and Jaethal.
"What has happened here? Do you know where the Lady might be. We should probably go forth and try to find her".
He takes the offered goodberry, and refocuses his Spellstrike while looking around the room for clues.

"My feeble elixir is probably not enough to bring Mr. Tertuccio back to fighting strength if you have anything to spare, Berrybright."
Depending on how long we're hanging here, Tibold can make some Treat Wounds rolls for 10 minutes a pop, but I get the feeling time isn't on our side given we came on Tertuccio dying and Jaethal about to be.

Lyra Featherstep |

Can (and will) either Jaerthal or Tertuccio provide Treat Wounds to themselves or others? If not, Lyra will take another minor potion.
Lyra wipes the blood off her blade before sheathing it once again. She strolls back to the doorway and gathers her bow, shouldering it for the moment.
When that's complete, she searches the fallen bandits for loot, gear or treasure, making sure to show any items to Brightbarry for magical detection.
"We can spare a few minutes, I think. To make sure we aren't the ones who end up dead."
She drinks a potion again if no one is administering to the wounds she suffered previously.

Doors lead south from the billiard room, and a door west from the other room appears to lead into the same room. The other room has a door south that would only lead into the same room if it was large and non rectangular.
Edoom smiles at Edoom. "I appreciate your courage, but I will get Jaethal to safety if the way is clear. She is in no condition to fight at the moment. You should all come with me. Take this for helping me--it makes people easier to attack AND hurts them." Tertuccio hands Tibold the labeled potion of bottled lightning. "I am sure the guards will send more help if you tell them the enemy commander is running around here."

Brightberry |

Brighberry looks around at all the peoples.
These bodies are so fragile. One moment you're fine, and the next, life has been snuffed out. They seem fine for now.
"I have one more goodberry if anyone neeeeds it. It will be my last one for awhile, but I can't have you dying."
First come first serve on 1d6+4. I'll let you roll it if you want it. I have one more racial healing berry in reserve.
In response to Tertucio:
"Wait, what? Go with you and Jaethal back to the main group of guards? shouldn't we find this Bleack Tear boss person?'

Lyra Featherstep |

Lyra shakes her head at the offered goodberry, "Maybe later, but hold it to see what kind of trouble we get into. Let's move out."
She strides over to the door leading south from the billiard room, and readies to open if once Edoom the Tank is ready to go.

GM Tribute |

Daily Update
The door opens to the south into a large room with a floor of polished marble. Hanging on the walls are various trophy heads; a stage with an impressive set of antlers, a large tusked boar, a cranky-looking oversized owl, and a snarling wolf. There are two different reptilian monsters mounted on the wall.
Edoom and Lyra point out the specific creature names are: stag, boar, owlbear, dire wolf, forest drake and the exotic tatzylworm.
Double doors to the west are closed from which the sound of pitched combat can be heard. To the south is single closed door.
We will treat this as beginning of session. Everyone resets to one hero point. Then we will rectify the lack of distribution of at least two hero points for the previous gameplay. Half the heroes will be getting an additional hero point determined randomly!! order on initiative tracker: 2d4 ⇒ (1, 3) = 4 Lyra and Brightberry start at 2 hero points!!

Edoom |

"To the west then? Let me ready a ranged weapon before closing to combat".
Edoom readies his shortbow and awaits Lyra throwing open the door.
I know we're not in encounter mode at the moment but a question I wanted to verify. If we were Edoom could "Ready" and action for the door to be thrown open ◆◆, then fire an arrow ◆ when the condition is met. If he wanted to just delay then he could wait until Lyra took her action, then move to that place in the initiative order with all three actions?

GM Tribute |

There is no readying actions until your turn in initiative in the encounter mode. In encounter mode you can ready one single action for two actions and it occurs as a reaction and does not change your initiative order. Typically in 2E delaying is much more popular than readying.
And the first trophy is a stag and not a stage.

Brightberry |

Brightberry shakes his head at the mounted heads.
"Murder for art. I wonder why there are no human heads won from battles up there."
At the sounds of battle, Brightberry looks to the others.
"I can open one of the doors and follow you in. Maybe this is the boss and it will be over now."

Tibold Crenshaw |

Tibold retrieves a his own Bottled Lightning and a Goo Grenade from his supplies.
"Anyone else want to throw some bombs? It's better to do it ahead of people charging into melee. Otherwise you might become casualties of the attack."

Brightberry |

"Oooh!" exclaims Brightberry, raising a stiff arm as high as it will go.
Brightberry is not very offensively focused at first level. He would be happy to throw some goo.

Edoom |

Good idea
Edoom nods at everyone, then an extra nod to Tibold as he quaffs the potion provided earlier in the day.
"Okay. When the door is thrown open let's take our ranged attacks before moving in. After the initial flurry I'm planning on dashing in and creating all the havoc I can. I'll go either right or left when I enter, so if you continue ranged attacks take them the opposite way. Ready"?

The party enters the dueling room, which has a dueling pit 2 feet deep in the middle. This provide little cover or impediment to moving. On the north side of the room the Lady of the House faces off against two large frost giants. On the south side of the room the commmander of the Black Tears arrives with two familiar assassins. These assassins have a hand crossbow and dagger, the boss a single great axe.
Brightberry opens the door and moves into optimal range to land a goo grenade on the commander. It hits and damages the nearby minions.
Lyra fires and arrow and hits a minion, and with the goo grenade splash, the minion falls bleeding to the ground.
Edoom nimbly moves into the dueling pit and fires his bow. Well off the mark, but he had not trained with it as much as Lyra.
Lady Jumandi feints low and steps toward a frost giant and her uppercut surprises him as she cuts halfway into his neck. The frost giant falls, his last action was clutching to keep his head on. Daily Update Round 2 w/ round 1 recap
Brightberry opened the door and launched a goo bomb hitting the commander squarely. The splash and a precise arrow from Lyra took out one of the minion assassins. Edoom missed his arrow attack and dropped his bow after advancing into the room. Lady Jumandi landed an amazing strike to a giant, killing him in one shot. This inspiration aided Tibold who was unable to strike the leader, but his two bombs splashed the commander and a minion.
The giant acted and savagely attacked Lady Jumandi, who skillfully parried all his blows and snapped off a deadly riposte that failed to penetrate the giant's heavy furs and armor.
The commander moved along the southern wall and advanced to confront Edoom and Brightberry. Burning from Brightberry's acid bomb, she attacked him with her greataxe. Following the commanders lead, the minion moves behind Brightberry and hits him with a dagger.
The commander's hit is hits the druid's leg (5 slashing) and the minion narrowly misses a vital artery in Brightberry's leg with a flatfooted strike (5 slashing).

Recap Daily Update round 2
Lady Jumandi faced two giants, having killed one she drew first blood against the other.
The party entered the room to attack the leader. A goo grenade flew true, two other bombs splashed the commander and her two minions. Two arrows from Lyra cut them down in their wounded state. Edoom took a potion and recovered his weapons as Brightberry healed. Tibold shot at the commander, but the bolt went wide.
As Edoom took his potion, the commander swung her greataxe at him. The attack hit Edoom 9 slashing damage.

The heroes were following Lady Jumandi's instructions to take out the commander of the assassins while she dealt with two frost giants. This time the last frost giant hit her shoulder and opened a deep gash through her armor as she struck him twice in the face with two well placed replies with her Aldori dueling sword.
A figure entered from the west door and made eye contact with Lady Jumandi. Lady Jumandi motioned toward the deadly commander of the assassins.

If there was not fighting going on, the figure that came through the west door would be likely to draw eyes.
Not only from her clothing, a dark blue leather bustier style top and calf-length skirt, both made of thick leather with studs that could deflect blows, but because she is a fox, with fur the shade of a moonless night sky with haunting eyes of jade green.
She makes her way towards the battle and as she does, water starts to float in the air around her.
Action 1, Stride to end up next to Lyra. Action 2, Channel Elements, which activates her kinetic gate. As part of Channel Elements, she can use a 1 action Elemental Blast or a 1 action enter Stance. As there are no level 1 stances, she'll zap.
Some of the water that flows about her starts to bubble as if it was boiling, and in a way, it does. It turns green and flies out towards the enemy command in a hissing jet. However, other elements of the water seem to mist around Lyra, healing some of her injuries.
Elemental Blast: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 131d8 ⇒ 3. It's doing acid damage this blast.
Action Three is to use Oceans Balm on Lyra, who I assume is willing to be healed. It's one action, heals 1d8 and gives Fire Resist 2. One healed by it, a person is immune to Ocean's Balm for 1 minute, so it's a once per fight per person heal, but scales nicely.
