Sir Pounce |

I, Sir Pounce am indeed willing to provisionally transfer my vasallage of Fifi the Fennec to the honorary 4-leg Jenkin, in return for 4 large hams, 2 bottles of at least decent booze and a regularly tribute of tubby rubs.
The tiger adopts a regal pose and transmits his offer to Jenkin.

Think that is it. No cuddly familiar for her.

Elowen |

Yeah, but at the moment it's an SLA I can only use once a day. But I'm sure when I use it to talk to other plants, my vine'll have a lot to say. heh.

Elowen |

Think that is it. No cuddly familiar for her.
Oh my familiar's anything but cuddly...will hug you....around the neck.... but not exactly cuddly.

Penelope's horror at her miss reminds me of an old 3.0 D&D houserule. If you rolled a nat 1 on a ranged attack against someone in melee, roll 1d(however many characters are involved in melee around the target) to see who you actually hit. Then roll damage. Precise shot negated that rule, which made it more valuable.

Before I moved and the campaign I am running turned digital we had the crit fumble and success decks. Well on of my players did. And those are fun. Crits and crit fails are fun if you get to do weird stuff with em. Like hitting an ally or flinging your weapon maybe throwing bleeding onto a crit.
And the concern was adorable.
So are you all going to camp and get to the last place the next day in day light? Its about 6ish miles from where you all are.
Or do you wanna push though? You could possibly make it by evening with a forced march which are con checks and possibly non lethal damage.
You can still walk for a little less than 4 hours and make that choice then if you want.

Svetlana "Tigress" Ulyanova |

I used to like fumble decks, but then started to dislike them because they kind of enshrine caster supremacy.
Martials are massively inconvenienced by fumble decks, casters mostly arent.
Another concern is that, in high level play, some types of martials can throw out 7-8 attacks per turn, thats like, a 30% chance to fumble, per turn. Its also a bit immersion breaking, I can absolutely hit a boxing bag several hundred times without hitting myself in the face once, with most crit fumble decks, I couldnt do this even if I was the equivalent of the reigning MMA champion.
I do like crit decks, a custom one I have essentially ads a relevant dirty trick/trip/steal/disarm/reposition in lieau of damage, with extra boni if you are actually good at dirty tricks.

Jenkin Ternham |

Jenkin's character sheet is updated.
Level 2 in Rogue (carnivalist)
+5 hp
8+1 skill points
+ 1 Climb, +1 Swim, +1 Perception, +2 Disable Devices, +2 Sense Motive, +2 Survival
2 Background skill points
+2 Handle Animal
Trapfinding, yay.
And a fox that's suddenly a lot less skittish of him.
Yes, I took a slightly subpar archetype because I wanted a fuzzy pet.

Penelope votes the 4 hour trek, camp, then do the rest in the morning.

Elowen |

Making some headway is better than none. That way we'll get to our destination pretty early in the morning.

Deaths Adorable Apprentice |

The one we had had a magic option and in the want for fairness the casters would roll to see if they crit or crit fail. It also had options for bludgeoning, slashing, and piercing and if those fit better, we would use those. And yeah it would have become a bigger disadvantage to the martials once they got up in levels, but they were level 6 when I moved.
Now I do it off the cuff and honestly that has been more fun as I can make it fit the encounter. Assuming they don't have an idea for it. The alchemist's bombs just have a dice to determine distance and direction. Which is good cause he rolls way to many ones.

Sir Pounce |

Sir pounce takes half hp, getting him to a solid 20, and learns how to power nap, I mean, power attack.
He also aquires the extra trick:
Superior therapy animal Highly magnanimous to 2 legs supreme 4 legged being I let the GM decide what it does.

Penelope Pinch |

Family is worth the distraction. I'll keep my fingers crossed all night for the little one and the momma!

Penelope Pinch |

WOOHOO!!!!!! Great news. About the baby and mom, not you being super sick. I hope that the illness has passed.

Elowen |

Sorry you're not feeling well. Glad to hear everything went well otherwise.

Penelope Pinch |

A thousand well wishes sent up into the ether for both of them!!!

Jenkin Ternham |

For the record, this charming song of arson and familicide is intended to be sung to the tune of this old Girl Scouts classic.

Elowen |

Sorry for the absence, been pretty bhectic on the road. Should have a post up tomorrow

Penelope Pinch |

Great post Odelai!

Svetlana "Tigress" Ulyanova |

I had anothr AP where we cheesed several encounters by pretending to have willowwisps under our control, lets see how much fun we can have with a flying head!

Deaths Adorable Apprentice |

Last time I ran this nothing was done with the talking head. I'm curious to see what yall do with it.
Also the rp is a delight to read!
This up coming weekend I have a flight so I'll be a bit distracted this weekend and next but I will have internet so I shouldn't have any issues with posting. I will move us to camping and towards the morning tomorrow as I never want to rush RP :)

I see a map!!!

Elowen |

Uhhmm... Jenkin, have you been playing a Mythic game recently? If so I can see where the confusion comes from.
Bless
Bless fills your allies with courage. Each ally gains a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls and on saving throws against fear effects.
Bless counters and dispels bane.
Mythic Bless
The +1 morale bonus applies on attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, and all saving throws. Once during the spell’s duration, an affected creature can roll an attack roll or saving throw twice and take the higher result. The target must decide to use this ability before the first roll is attempted.

Sir Pounce |

I for one would like to be Mythic! I would even pick Mythic leadership so my favorite 2 leg gets some of my Mythic juice as well! Yes, I, Sir Pounce of mythic awesomeness am a great expert in maximizing the use of 2 legs! Now, how do I use mythic to solve the problem of simultaneous tea-sipping and cigar smoking while wearing a top hat... as a tiger?

Jenkin Ternham |

Oh... yeah, whoops, my mistake, looked at the wrong line on d20PFSRD. Jenkin took some poison damage, then. I'll retcon that in shortly.

Odelai the White |

I was waiting on THIS. After that I'm planning on heading down the corridor past the #11 and then opening the first northern door.

Penelope Pinch |

Sorry, travelling for work, #11 is good with Penny. She'll follow with bow and judgements at the ready.

Elowen |

Get some rest. Hope it wears off without after effects.
