I am looking forward to playing with all of you. :)

If players want to purchase any arcane scrolls and have my character cast it on them at the beginning on the dungeon I would be happy to do so. Scrolls like Heroism, Clay Skin or Ablative Barrier are generally worth the gold spent on them IMO.

@GM Roll4initiative - My character's base initiative is +8 but as it is a dungeon setting he will be rolling around with an initiative of +14 with his Blood Boiling Pill and Heightened Awareness active at all times. In regards to his Earth Elemental familiar do you want to track his initiative separately or will they both act on Igor's initiative? Also note that Earth Elementals have Tremorsense 60' which can be extremely handy in underground settings. :)

Don't forget that she will be taking an armor check penalty on her DD roll as well if she doesn't remove her breastplate first. This is not something that she will be doing all the time but can still be handy from time to time if we are stuck. A +5 total modifier means a 25 on a lock check (Take 20) and a chance of disabling a trap at this level. That is much better than nothing.

You can only expect so much for a 1 point investment in a skill that does not use your character's primary ability score and is not a class skill. :)

Eka's character sheet is updated and ready to go. Mstwk thieves' tools have been purchased. Skill points have been put on Disable Device and Use Magic Device. I switched out the feat I had initially chosen (Intimidating Prowess; maybe I'll pick it up later) in favor of Additional Traits: Armor Expert (reduces armor check penalty) and Voices of Solid Things (use CHA for Disable Device and it becomes a class skill).

So now she's a paladin with Disable Device +7(-2) and no shame.

The Voices trait actually ties into parts of her backstory pretty well. She has no memory of her past, but does have the Fey Foundling feat (+2 HP healed per hit die rolled for magical healing) as a tie to the First World. I'm slowly building out who she was before the memory loss and dropping hints for her along the way.

any ideas for gear guys? we have to make sure we are prepared for whatever we come up against....i have healing out the wazoo..and a few offensive spells too...but other than that, i'm not much help..combat i'm decent at...

@Therin - Everyone should have a way of healing themselves at the very least. Beyond that here are a few suggestions for gear that you may or may not want to invest in:

Bloodboiling Pill - Essentially +2 Initiative for 8 hours. This is perhaps the best item in the Alchemy Manual and that is saying something as it is very nice book. If you own the book this is a complete no brainer.

Scrolls/wands/potions of Lesser Restoration to remove ability damage and fatigue. This is very helpful and will be used sometime in your character's career.

Antitoxin/antiplague/vermin repellent/alchemical grease - All very handy.

Protective scrolls with a good duration like: Delay Poison, Heroism, Ablative Barrier, Clay Skin and Heroism. There are many good spells to pick from but these are always top of mind for me. :)

Cheap first level scrolls and potions: Protection from Evil, Remove Fear, Enlarge Person, Reduce Person, Vanish, Monkey Fish. The choices here again are almost endless.

There are guides for this of course and my list of suggestions is far from exhaustive.

If you're using Charisma for Disable Device, then yes, it works. Bat those eyelashes to open those locks!

It is a good thing that you are thinking along the lines of status removal type spells. Some suggestions (feel free to listen or disregard as you wish) :)

1) Keep a third level spell slot open. The cleric list is broad and having unfettered access is extremely useful for condition removal and utility purposes. Mind you it will take your character fifteen minutes to fill the slot and party buffs will be up but if the need is great enough it can be extremely handy.

2)I find that Delay Poison is on the whole much more useful than Neutralise Poison. It is always successful, works against any poison and can even be cast ahead of time for immunity to poison and poison like effects (Stinking Cloud and Cloud Kill come to mind). It is also much more affordable. You can always mix it up and buy both if you like as well.

3) Lesser Restoration is pretty well a necessity as ability damage and fatigue occur frequently at all levels.

4) I would stock up on first level scrolls. At least get a copy of Protection from Evil and Remove Fear. These two are really good and cheap.

yeah i usually have lesser restoration memorized as my spells for the day...too handy to not have really...

and will be buying the 1st level scrolls...like pro evil and such...

here's my spells for the day...

1-bless x2, magic weapon, shield of faith x2, burning hands*
2-burst of radiance, align weapon, spiritual weapon x2 cure moderate wounds*
3-iron stake, life shield, fireball*
*-domain spell

iron stake and life shield will be changed...had them for last game...

Oh, no! I just discovered Voices of Solid Things is not legal for PFS. You'll have to pick another trait. Make sure it has the little glyph symbol next to it on AoN. That means it's PFS legal.

I even checked the Additional Resources page to make sure, and it says:

Oh boo! I've switched it out for Vagabond Child, which does have the glyph symbol next to it. It doesn't fit her story as well, but since it's still being discovered/written there's room for some finagling.

Her DD modifier is still going to be +7, since this trait gives a +1.

@Jilla - I love the way that your character has so many character classes mixed in together almost at random. So very like a gnome. :)

I don't know how familiar you are with alchemists in PFS but the Brew Potion feat is replaced by Extra Bombs automatically for the base class which is a really good deal all considering especially if you only plan on dipping in the class. It is such a fun class overall and thematically one of my favourites.

@Igor: Oh, thanks! I assumed Brew Potion was swapped by something (since PFS doesn't support crafting), but I couldn't find out what. Is that in the Guide or in the Campaign Clarifications document, or somewhere else? And yes, if the classes seem "almost at random" that is because they are literally at random :)

Yep! I use Dicelog to roll a D41 or whatever, and my son counts down the list of available classes on Archives of Nethys. I also choose feats starting with a randomly-determined letter of the alphabet (1d26) and only buy items actually listed on her Chronicles.

The rules about the feat swap for alchemist is buried in the additional resources (under the Advanced Player Guide) so it is not a surprise that you could not find it. :)

Random character generation is a retro concept. I remember using it for Gamma World and MSH back in the day. The fun part is justifying exactly how these powers fit together or not. It makes for interesting stories. That is for sure. :)

Btw, everyone, I live in Denver, Colorado, which is GMT -7 (or US Mountain Standard Time). We're starting on Monday, but, Monday to whose time zone? Does anyone know what time the games start?

I'm sure there will be a post from the Gameday Organizers on when to start, but I was just wondering so that I'm ready.

Generally GMT +0 is the start time for everything on PbP.

So if you are really eager we can start on Sunday at 5 PM US MT or have a more relaxed start on Monday. It is really all up to the GM.

PbP is great but it runs at a glacial speed at best. One day more or less will not have much of an impact. :)

Alignment have been added to the headers for both my character and his familiar.

You'll have plenty of time to put up buffs the moment you enter.

Once you step inside, though, you're in Bonekeep. When you exit, you are considered finished.

As noted in Campaign Info:

According to the new PbP Sanctioning rules for Bonekeep, we can only do half of the dungeon. I have the rooms you will encounter pre-planned. It's the same route my party took when I played it last. So, I'm quite familiar with the encounters which makes it a bit easier for me to run.

That is unfortunate that we will only be doing half the dungeon. However I am sure that we will still have a lot of fun. :)

thinking adding a ring pf protection +1 and adding a +1 o my cloak...that'll tap me out almost...add 5k to me total...

Drukpa buys a blood boiling pill (thanks for the tip about this item - had never noticed it before!) and will consume it before we enter the dungeon. He'll also buy a scroll of Barkskin and ask someone to cast it on him for 30 minutes of barkskin for the first half hour of the dungeon. After that, he's out of gold, sadly.

Unfortunately I don't think that's allowed in PFS. But I appreciate the offer!

Hmmm, I did *just* buy a belt of giant strength for 4k. I suppose I could hold off on that purchase until after this adventure in order to be able to afford several scrolls (like Heroism, etc.) - might be better in terms of increasing survivability for this adventure...

Edit: ok, if the GM is ok with me still making changes at this point, I'll forego buying the belt of Giant Str, giving me 4000 gold back, and I'll instead buy a few scrolls and other misc. items, to be posted shortly. Will update my profile accordingly.
