I am pretty sure that Jilla's luck will hold. Despite every effort to kill her off she springs back like a thorny weed. ;)
And yes, I too am a fan of the baked bread products. :)

Jilla, you can come help make sure my bunny rolls and ham buns turn out well. ;)
And while we're tempting fate:
Profession (hired guard): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18

You all are making me soooo hungry. Talkin' about breads, bunny rolls, & ham buns. Yum!!!
GM Roll4initiative |
Sorry. Had some chores that took me about an hour. Since this is the final battle/room, how about we start it Monday? We should be done by the end of next week, if not sooner.
GM Roll4initiative |
sounds smurfy to me...
Ahhhh! I haven't seen this done in a long time!
Smurftastic!
Jilla |
@GM: Sounds good!
@Baking Enthusiasts: If only I had any baking/cooking skills in real life!
@Therin: Thanks for the protection from evil charges. Even though the deflection/resistance bonuses become less valuable at higher levels (since they won't stack with gear-based ones), the immunity to possession effects and the like is hard to beat.
Jilla would be "Troublesome Smurf"

People I am concerned about the strange blue character pictures in the discussion thread are created by some sort of script or virus. Does anyone know anything about this?
Nothing to worry about, Igor. It's a script Paizo added a long time ago. If you type the name of the little blue cartoon creatures anywhere in a post, your profile pic comes up as one of them.
It is quite hilarious.

@GM: I don't know how you made the creepy eyes blink in the shadow area, but that's awesome!

Thanks! I just copy & pasted a gif image.

I'm very surprised everyone made their save against the shadow hound's howl.
When I played this during NostalgiaCon, three or four out of six of us ran screaming from the shadow hound for 2 rounds. My cleric was not affected, luckily.

Sorry everyone - had family visiting for Passover and have been scrambling to catch up since then.

Drukpa,
Please enter your PC/player info >>here<<.
Thanks!
Done, sorry I had missed that earlier.

Not everyone. :)
But yes we were pretty lucky and that is why Remove Fear should be a staple on every Cleric's prepared spell list!

Well, TP is a part of Igor. At least Igor made it.
But, yeah, I learned early on to make sure all of my PCs have potions, scrolls, or a wand of remove fear ever since I learned it removes the frightened condition from enemies using Intimidate.

Interesting. I've never bothered, on the theory that by the time you can pull out the scroll or whatever, they have already run away...
Igor Ivantoe |
@Drukpa - Remove Fear is much better as a spell than a scroll as you can target multiple targets at a better range. It is not a bad scroll for your improved familiar to have in a spring loaded wrist sheath to UMD however. :)
This is one of the strengths (and weaknesses) of original PF. So many different options that you are constantly discovering new options every day.

Regarding attacking the hound with spells & spiritual weapon, I did some research. Single target spells like rays would be affected by the miss chance. Area of Effect spells would not, obviously. As for Spiritual weapon, since it isn't wielded by the caster, and instead attacking on its own, apparently it isn't affected by concealment and the like. (I guess since it's the power of the gods wielding it.)
I'll dig a bit more about spiritual weapon being affected by concealment.
Edit: spiritual weapon is affected by concealment and the like. So, yes, it has a 50% chance to miss.

Well. Big problem, everyone. Apparently, APL was 4.6. we were supposed to round APL up to 5, and with 5 players you were supposed to play high-tier. RPGChronicles won't let me create proper chronicles that the current APL is at.
I'll issue the chronicles, but, you'll have to cross out the gold earned and enter half of what it's supposed to be.
I'll need to check the old posts to figure how we got low tier with the 5 of you. :/
Edit: i had developer of RPGChronicles help me out. I think we were able to get Chronicles to show up for low tier.
GM Roll4initiative |
We got things worked out. He didn't realize...
Scenarios in Seasons 0 through 3 were designed for four characters. For these scenarios, if the APL is between subtiers, a party of six or seven characters must play the higher subtier. Parties with four or five characters must play the lower subtier.

If you want a job done right do it yourself. Don't delegate it to a machine. :-)
I can't stop the "progress" of all human activity being replaced by machines but I sure can try.

Your chronicles can be found >>HERE<<.
Since PbP Sanctioning only allows us to do half the scenario, you are awarded only half the gold, as noted on chronicles.
The items you need to cross off are:
Bonekeep Malady, all of the tier 6-7 items, and the Ratskull.
You get the Nexus Crystal for free. It's the reward for playing/surviving Bonekeep.
You will also need to enter your own Day Job amounts. Jilla earned 50 gp, Eka earned 10 gp.
I plan to run this again later on, but taking the other route that you all didn't do. If you're up for burning a replay, make sure to sign up when you see the post.
Thanks for playing, everyone!

Igor will use Crafter's Fortune and take 10 on his Day Job for a 26 and 50 gold payout.
The Nexus Crystal is pretty sweet especially as it is not a slotted item and only has to be carried.
Thanks so much for running. Everyone had fun (I hope) and no fatalities makes for an excellent run in my book.

Thanks for running, GM! That was great fun. I will definitely try to burn another replay to play the next part when you run it again.

My Chronicle looks good.
I second (third?) the thanks for running this. It's always more fun with a team that gets into role playing. Good job, everyone!

Going to mark game inactive. If y'all need anything, be sure to send me a private message. I'll also send you a private message to let you know when sign-ups start for the next Bonekeep.
Thanks Again, everyone!
