Hon strides closer to Green and makes a glint reflect off his mirror as another duplicate of him shows up in the space opposite the green spider. The new Hon has proves to be a perfect reflection of the original(?) Hon, holding his weapon and mirror in opposite hands and other things being reflected, but otherwise appears teh same. Both of them raise their weapons and swing down on the spider at the same time.

"I’m a bit disappointed in my findings, to tell you the truth. I’d hoped to find something more insightful: perhaps some ancient artifacts or ruins. I also hadn’t expected to run into as much trouble as I did, and I have you to thank for getting me out of there alive. I'm heading back to the city to see if there are other explorers and join up with them instead of going solo."
As you prepare to depart, she happens to call after you, "Unless, of course, you'd like to come with me..."

Start of B13
Your adventure begins as you explore the harbor town of Cassomir. Your search for work leads you to a bounty board near the docks, where the following notice is pinned to a bounty board.
"Attention! The Verdant Wheel seeks adventurers for paid work in the Blackwood Swamp. The ideal candidate is good in a tight place, takes initiative, and keeps detailed notes. Ask for Urwal at the Pathfinder encampment."
You may introduce yourselves or have a reunion, whichever you prefer... I think it'll get tedious if it's the same character... so I'll let you decide :)

![]() |

A catfolk with dark fur stands in front of the board and flicks the Pathfinder announcement. His fur swirls from an unexpected breeze and the next moment flattens like its wet. He has a musket slung over his shoulder that slumps as he reads the ad. "The swamp? Ugh, I'm gonna get trenchpaw again if I'm not careful. You'd think at least I could find work in a drier place."

"Attention! The Verdant Wheel seeks adventurers for paid work in the Blackwood Swamp. The ideal candidate is good in a tight place, takes initiative, and keeps detailed notes. Ask for Urwal at the Pathfinder encampment."
”Tight places huh? Well, that may not describe ol’ Grammy too well, but I know my way around a swamp or two. Maybe they’ll need an advisor”
She then seems to notice the cat folk.
”Oh, pardon me deary, were you thinking of going on this bounty too?”
The elderly half-Orc in hides and wooden reinforcements shakily extends her hand. ”They call me Grammy Thistledown.”

![]() |

The catfolk gives a short purr and takes Grammy's hand gently. "Honored to meet you, Grammy. I am called Savan. Sometimes known as Genieshot." Grammy sees one of his cat-slitted eyes glow orange for a moment, then the other seems to look more stony before they shift and change again.
"The pink-skin, Marcus, told me I could probably find some work here after I left Alkenstar."

"Oh stop you. You'll make an old half-orc blush. It ain't no honor to meet me, but I appreciate your manners. Whoever said this modern generation doesn't have any manners doesn't know what they are talking about, I've met plenty of nice younger folks."

A familiar torn and filthy space suit covers a mechanical body as it sluffs through the dust. The smiling pirahna swims around within as several new strips of adhesive are attached holding the cracks at the seams in crisscross patterns on both the spacesuit and the globe. "Grammy! Good to see you again."

![]() |

Grammy looks up and frowns, then smiles, at X-23
”Oh X-23! Oh it is good to see you! But you promised to take better care of the suit! You know how I worry that one bad leak will be the end of you! Is this waterfowl tape?! Oh X-23, this will not do at all! You need to get this suit repaired proper-like. I’d do it myself except . . . Well Druid. . . .metal. Y’know. But stop putting it off, y’look a mess and I worry!”” her tone swerves between genuine concern and nagging grandmother.

Having followed Granny from Belkezen, hoping to find some proper Pathfinders as the promised ones apparently never showed. Hon glances over her shoulder at the board, not really wanting to take another job, that is until he realizes that the Pathfinders had posted this one.
He snatches up a copy of the flier as Granny seems to engage with the catfolk. He glances at the cat from the side of his eyes as the man lays on unnecessary charm. To each their own, I guess.
He is surprised by the sudden appearance of Jig from nowhere. "Jiug? How long have you been there? You didn't follow us from Belkezen did you? Was I that blind?"

"Oh Hon, you remember, he was going to travel with us . . . and then he said something about doubling back to pick up his . . . spoons?".
Grammy looks down at the curious goblin invention.
Well, I mean, I guess that makes sense. Never did understand those who use metal for weapons so a device that launches spoons is just the next step in the crazyness I assume. Glad to see you caught up Jig! I don't mind the smell of swamps either. Lots of good mud there. Full of nutrients, perfect for a healing poultice if you know the right cantrip."

Zarisha al-Sakawi |

"All of my recent jobs seem to take me somewhere damp and dirty," Zarisha notes, reading the notice board. She eyes Savan up and down, mentally taking note of the color of his coat and counting his toes.

Savan greets the others. "Well, a larger group that I thought. You're all friends of Grammy?"
The catfolk catches sight of Jig's cutlery falling to the floor and then his eyes widen at the goblin's weapon. "Is that a spoon gun? I mean, I heard of some crazy goblins playing around with flinging all manner of things, but I never thought I would see one!" He looks the goblin up and down. "Does that thing use powder?" You notice his left paw twitch a bit and he tries to hide the motion by a bit of nervous drumming on the stock of his musket.

Hon hoists his ubiquitous mirror into his left hand and extends his heavily scarred right hand to Savan and then X-23 in turn. Taking in the unusual cat and very nearly unique fish...thing? Hear they have all sorts of information about... and you're staring at a gun that shoots silverware. Great."

The Pathfinder Society has set up an extensive camp in the Blackwood Swamp. You enter the camp and are directed to a collection of tents at the edge of the camp. A collection of tents and supply crates fills a relatively dry and elevated patch of ground near a crumbling stone ruin. After a short wait, one of the crates opens and an iruxi clambers out.
"Ah, new initiates, welcome! Come, come, much to be done, best not to delay. You’re here because of the poster, yes? Yes! Excellent. The task I have for you is simple. Beneath these ruins are caverns, filled with the most beautiful varieties of mushroom I’ve seen since I was in the Mwangi Jungle. Stunning specimens, and all completely in the wrong place. None of them belong here! I want you all to head into the caverns and collect samples of each species, then bring them back to us. We’re fairly certain they’re harmless, and the caverns are probably uninhabited, but if you do encounter anything, be sure to put together a full report afterward. Once I’ve got those samples, we’ll get you paid and off to your next mission!"

"If all we need to do is forage for some mushrooms to get paid, I'm in. Can't be that hard, right?"

Many species of mushrooms emit airborne spores that can harm those who breathe them in for extended periods of time.
The local iruxi foragers claim that some brightly colored mushrooms provide magical powers when eaten.
After a 15-minute trek through the swamp, you arrive at the entrance to the caverns: a large, jagged crack in a hillside.
The cramped tunnels throughout this cavern are 10 feet high, and the air is cold enough for you to see their breath in front of them. Moisture collects on any walls bare of mushrooms or lichen, and the darkness makes the space feel more confined than it is. The large mushrooms throughout these caverns are pale and spongy to the touch.
The mushrooms growths are difficult terrain and provide standard cover.
Map is posted. Which way?

![]() |

"Be careful dearies, some of the spores from these mushrooms can be quite toxic. If you have a cloth I suggest wrapping it around your mouth o . . . uh . . . air intake" she says to X-23 and she digs out a face-cloth of own and puts it on.

![]() |

"Haven't worn one of these since my days as a, uh, freelance sailor!" Jig whips out a bandana and wraps it around his mouth and nose. He looks dashing and mysterious!

![]() |

Hon gives a shrug and heads into the caverns. He takes a look at the mushrooms and something seems to light up in his eyes. "Think I heard some iruxi from this area claim that some brightly colored mushrooms can give you magical powers. And, no, Savan, I mean actual magic not the kind you're thinking of. Might be good to keep some samples."

Zarisha al-Sakawi |

"Many plants and fungi have magical powers," Zarisha says cheerfully. She removes her wand from her belt. "I'd be more worried about the worms and insects that feed on them."

![]() |

Savan looks at Hon and holds up his hands innocently. "What? I like mushrooms! And the trippy ones make it all the better." The catfolk's fingers seems to shake and he quickly lowers them. He reaches into his satchel for a pinch of gunpowder and quickly brings it up to his nose. He inhales sharply, then blinks and seems more steady.
"So, should we fan out and get to picking? Or go as a group together?"

![]() |

Hon, clearly not putting on a face covering, gives Savan and his 'gunpowder' snorting a look before commenting, "Staying together would be best. If someone faints from spores, or goes crazy with new magical powers, we all should be closer to help revive/subdue as needed."
