Grammy recognizes that the squirrel isn't native to the area. She is incensed to learn that the squirrel isn't even a sculpture at all, but a real squirrel that's been petrified.

The two women listen with growing distaste at your comments. The reddening face of your guide is also a sign that the evening isn't going to end well. Red-faced, the two women whisper to each other and move off through the gallery, rapidly drawing the attention of others who want in on the gossip.

"Well, I never!" the gnome says indignantly, "Asrennia only procures the finest art pieces for her salons. You'd be wise to keep your slanderous comments to yourselves!"

You are led into another room. In this room, numerous carousels display sketches and diagrams depicting apothecaries and herbalists collecting and processing flowers, herbs, and other plants for various remedies and medicines.

You see a man dramatically rotating and stopping a carousel, loudly complaining that the sketches, which are supposed to convey scientific knowledge and processes, lack accuracy.

Dr. Rolph rotates the carousel device to a journal of sketches of an apothecary grinding herbs for medicines, stating, "I don’t know about that. But see here, what do you make of this latest Baltaram sketch?!"

In this exhibit, a series of clockwork devices represent numerous elements of nature, such as the cycles of the sun and moon and the movements of other heavenly bodies. You see another gnome, wearing work clothes as loudly colored as her hair, takes notes on everything she sees in the mechanical exhibit while trying to keep out of the way of the rich socialites and bureaucrats surrounding her.

Now, I understand it may have been petrified by a basalisk or cocatrice, and if you don't have the option of turning it back to normal, that's fine, but it deserves the dignity of not being put in a top hat!

As for this painting in the first room. A normal wolf and a full buck the same size as each other? Ridiculous! Rabbits don't grow to the full height of that berry bush either. If you want to label this fantasy, that's fine, but to claim it is an actual scene from nature just misinforms the public and is going to get them to not know one thing from the other. **X-23 - AC 16, 17/17

Vigilant Seal

Four biomechanical metallic arms come out of a small metal device X-23 keeps strapped to his backside. Two lift him slightly off of the ground, keeping his legs dangling in the air as they other two point towards the threat and begin glowing red hot on the ends. "Now you've made Sentinel angry."

The bottom two arms keeping him aloft release a great amount of energy thrusting him to the ceiling as X-23 leaps over the crowd.

Explosive Leap Unstable Action DC 17: 1d20 ⇒ 4 1 Fire Damage to Sentinel and unable to use further Unstable actions.

As X-23 lands on the other side one of the arms thrusts out, slamming its pincer-like claws into the back of the bodyguard with the red cloak as the second arm points towards Baltaram and releases a small burst of fire at the man.

Sentinel Jagged Edges vs Red: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

Sentinel leaps over Marcus and Red and lands on the other side, though Sentinel seems to backfire slightly before jumping up. It slams its claw at Red but misses. Its second pincer fires two bursts of energy at Baltaram. The first misses but the second hits Baltaram in the face and burns half his scraggly beard off. Baltaram reacts with a howl, dancing madly and slapping his hands on his face.

Red swings his sap at Jig, trying to help finish the job his blue-caped companion started.

Sap vs Jig AC 18, FF, MAP 2+, Agile: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (13) - 1 = 12

Unfortunately he's still a bit rattled by all the violence going around him.

Forgot to include the Frightened condition, not that it matters

Blue snorts in derision.

"That's how you do it, you fool!" he berates his companion.
