Grammy sends another bolt of lightning at Smilglen. This time the bolt catches her unawares and she's unable to move out of the way in time. The smell of calamari rises as she roasts and sinks out of sight.
Wouldn't you know it... Nat 1 on the save for full damage!
Over in the distance, you see Laela and her skiff. When she gets close, you see that there is a blue tentacle wrapped around her leg and a gash on her face. You hear ominous creaking sounds that the Infidius might not be as stable as she used to be.
"That doesn't sound good, " Laela comments, "Bring what ya got and we can look it over back in the tavern!" As Laela rows away from the wreck, you hear a loud crash as the vessel begins sinking to the bottom of the bay. Laela ties up her skiff back at Kintargo and you all return to the tavern to look over the loot.
After looking over the cargo recovered, Laela springs up from her seat, knocking her chair over. She rushes to the stage and tosses a handful of coins to the band.
"Bartender! A round of drinks for my table! A plate of lamb and mint pastries! Stay on, friends, there's enough loot here for everyone! I might even open a shop of me own!"
The night passes with much celebrating. What the next day brings, however, is another story.
Thanks for playing!

Posting intro to B16. Take your time with regards to any character mods you wish to make.
Your adventure begins in the Docks district of Absalom. You are in a local inn, the Rabbled Rouser. The Rabbled Rouser is located on a busy waterfront near Absalom’s harbor. The streets are crowded with legions of taverns and warehouses; each full and echoing with sounds of sailors, travelers, and dockworkers. There are hundreds of ships scattered along the dock just waiting to set sail on their next journey. The inn is crowded full of travelers from all over Golarion, but it doesn’t stand out much from other taverns nearby. You are relaxing and enjoying your time off from adventuring when you notice a distraught man wandering from table to table and making his plea for help.
Please introduce yourselves here (or reminisce on old adventures if the party's not changing)

![]() |

Savan sits, holding his head from the previous night's revelry. He tries to eat some of the greasy fish stew that had been put in front of him, but he wrinkles his nose at the smell. The spellshot groans and pulls out his powder horn. He takes a pinch and sniffs it, wincing. He leans back in his chair trying to let the gunpowder to clear his head. He turns and spots the man wandering around the tavern floor.

Zarisha al-Sakawi |

"I'm not going to jinx myself by prognosticating whether the next job we take will result in my getting soaked this time," Zarisha comments, though her amused smile belies her true feelings.

"I'm not going to jinx myself by prognosticating whether the next job we take will result in my getting soaked this time," Zarisha comments, though her amused smile belies her true feelings.
"Oh Deary, a little salt water never hurt anyone. Good for the skin you know. I will admit though, getting . . . uh . . . suddenly and unceremoniously wet was quite . . . surprising." Granny pats Zarisha on the back and offers her another glass of low-quality wine (almost grape juice in fact.)

Zarisha al-Sakawi |

Zarisha laughs at the most bizarre of their group's joke. "I'm not a fish, though." She accepts Grammy's watered wine with a smile. "But I'm starting to run low on coin. We should find another job soon."

![]() |

It doesn't take long before he makes his way over to your table.
The troubled man speaks quickly, "Please, please! I need help! I could tell from across the room that you’re a group of honorable adventurers and I have been desperately searching for such folk to help me in my quest for justice! I beg you, help my poor elderly parents. A dishonorable Taldan nobleman has tricked my poor, naive parents out of everything they have! Their coin and any items of value were swindled from them, but their pride won’t allow them to ask for help."
"So, I must ask. My parents are good people who didn’t deserve this treatment. They’re kind and try to help others, and this is the thanks they get for trying to help someone they thought was in need. Please, won’t you help me retrieve what was taken? I know it doesn’t look like I have much of a reward to offer, but I promise you will have one from me and my parents at the end of this."

![]() |

...you’re a group of honorable adventurers...
Jig looks around, but realizes that yes, the man is talking to them.
"I do love biting Taldan nobles. Where can we find this scallywag?"

Zarisha al-Sakawi |

Zarisha raises an eyebrow as she makes eye contact with Jig and shrugs subtly. "It sounds a bit like we might be the ones tricked into robbing a Taldan noble. Any chance we can meet your poor beset parents?"

![]() |

Granny dismisses X-23 with a wave of her hand. "Oh, you know well enough that guards are useless, only care about laws and bribes and such. Won't stop a crime that is right under their noses if some noble claims some obscure law or throws enough coin at them. Another reason I'm not fond of cities. They make life too . . . . complicated."

![]() |

Reassured by your presence, he identifies himself as Wiston Drent.
"A fortnight ago, a nobleman named Malcolm Stanian said he needed some funds to build an orphanage in Taldor. My parents take pride in helping others without receiving anything in return, so of course they agreed to help. We only found out that this man was a fraud! I can only guess he did it because he knew he could and that my parents wouldn’t fight back. This is why it’s such a horrible thing to have happened and why I truly need your help to bring them justice. My parents would feel horrible asking anyone, let alone strangers, to help them retrieve their valuables. But it’s all they have so I must go against their wishes and beg for help."
"My parents, my father Lom and my mother Andrea, are at our shared home in the Coins district. They’ve been too distraught and ashamed to leave, but I can take you to meet them. So will you help us?"

"Hmm, I'm from Lastwall, not Taldor, but I remember a Knight Stanian who was supposedly Taldan. Said his family was high muckity-muck or something, could 'ruin anyone who dared cross him.' and all that jazz. Wonder what such a prodigious family is doing scamming the commoners? Thought they would be above such petty aims."

Zarisha al-Sakawi |

"If this Malcom Stanian is here swindling commoners, I doubt his family has the power to ruin anyone anymore," Zarisha says to Grammy. "Or he's just lying about his name."

![]() |

"In either case, will you help us? I don't know much of what happened. I just know that I came home from work and found my parents distraught."

The Coins District is home to the Grand Bazaar market, which, in the daytime, is full of people from across Golarion looking to buy goods. Wiston leads you further into the district, beyond the Grand Bazaar. It becomes dark as evening descends over the city.
Wiston leads you past the Coins district and into a seedier section of town.
You catch glimpses of someone behind you. Might be nothing, but this person's been dogging your steps for awhile now

”Oh Horsefeathers! This is why I hate the cities. Always someone lookin’ for to take an old woman’s coin purse.”
She raises her voice so that the tailing individual can hear.
”Whoever is tailin’ us, ya’best rethink her mark. All these weapons aren’t just for show, not to mention, y’know, magic an’ all. Just move along now!”

Savan glances back quickly when Grammy spots the tail. The catfolk searches for the person with his geniekin eyes. "Come out, come out whereever you are..." He holds his musket at the high ready.

"Who you talking to? We have to hurry. This place is a bit, well, unsavory."
"Surely you hear those ELEPHANTINE people trying to hunt us with as much skill as wolf cubs behind us. My dear sapling leshy would do better at stalking than them. THEY'D BEST JUST GIVE UP AND GO GET A REAL JOB!" It's clear the last bit of her speech was meant to be overheard by the 'stalkers.'

![]() |

"We're almost there. Just a bit further."
Just then an older gentleman shambles up to the group.
"What's all that yellin'? Oh, it's you, Wis. Y'better tell yer friends not ta be so loud or they'll attract fellers you don wanna meet even on a good day."
Wiston nods and looks a bit disgustedly at you.
"See? Nothing to worry about. Anyway, we're here."
The place Wiston leads you is a fairly run-down section of town. The road is about 10' across and about 70' long. Wiston leads you to a house at the end of the street.

Savan looks around and spots some movement coming from a nearby house. Unsure of what it is, he voices his concern to the others. Wiston, however, appears to panic and immediately yells.
