Mary and Albrecht believe that Kotgar is a bit too much interested in your doings. Maybe it is his nosiness or there is a reason for that.

When Kotgar admits to being a Leadbuster, Mary nods wearily, her suspicions confirmed. "So, you're a Leadbuster then? Kotgar, was it? And what might your three brothers' names be? I don't suppose one of them is called Hargrit by any chance? 'Cause there's a debt I'd like to repay him when I get the chance. Are they at the castle? Maybe we should drop in right now to say hello and share some of that tea Arity mentioned. I have some pointed questions to ask of you all, and I don't think they can wait." When she says the word "pointed" her hand subtly falls to the hilt of her rapier in an undeniably threatening manner.

Mary watches as the last cat takes off into the woods. She considers hunting it down but decides otherwise. Now that its master was dead, the cat was unlikely to be a further danger to them. She wipes the blood and other bodily fluids from her rapier and resheathes it.

We should also attempt to remove any traces of our altercation here. The longer it takes for these dwarves to learn that we are onto them the better."
Marysiel
Mary scrunches her face in displeasure at the thought of dragging bodies around and trying to clean up the place. "Ugh! Fine! Let's get on with it. I want to wrap up this delivery as soon as possible, so let's not waste time. Hide the bodies under a tarp on the back of the cart and a quick sweep of the area with a makeshift broom from one of these trees should take care of things."

You put the body on the cart and cover it. About 2 miles further you get to the camp.
The foreman in charge is a pudgy, tired-looking human man named Jollibin Urphell. He carries a long-handled felling axe over one shoulder, and his eyes dart around the lumber camp. Jollibin is happy to see the heroes and the wagon, and quickly sets his workers to unloading it. Jollibin has eight lumberjacks working for him here, but three are badly injured and recuperating in the cabin.
"Have you come here to help us? I send a cook two days ago for reinforcements" he looks at you puzzled faces.
"It’s been going on for about a week. At first, our prospective sites were targeted. We scout a site nearby, ensure it’ll provide a good, clean harvest, and mark the trees with chalk. At first, the chalk marks were being erased overnight, but soon enough, the trees we’d marked were all burned up. Good thing we’ve had a lot of rain lately— otherwise there might have been a forest fire."
"Second, aggressive animals have injured three of my eight lumberjacks, leaving me understaffed. They’re recuperating in the cabin now. Most of them were attacked by gigantic red-furred rats, but Torklo spotted a big dog that looked like it was on fire from inside its body."
"The last three nights, we’ve had fires right in the camp. The first two were in the storage tents, but we put them out quickly. No sign of who set them. The most recent was an attempt to set the cabin on fire. Luckily, we put that out, too."
FYI: I will not respond during Christmas break.
Bonnie Anne
While I suppose it's obvious that the "big dog" is a hellhound, is there any way to find search clues so the characters know for sure?
"We are not the reinforcements that were sent for. We were only hired to deliver goods. Now in your possession, the goods are delivered, and our job is complete.
It kind of sounds like a dangerous place to be logging. Must be a lot of profit in it if you're willing to brave such dangers ..."
Bonnie's more than happy to help, she's just bargaining.
GM Farol
Big dog could be hell hound, but the easiest way is to ask, if the dog was burning and spitting fire or similar ;)
Jollibin listens to you a bit puzzled. "Not reinforcements... druids..." he repeats the words before the meaning of it sinks in.
Before he is able to prepare a coherent response, you hear yells. A dwarf is approaching from south, dark, wavy hair is tinged with streaks of bright red, and he has a fanatical look in his eyes. He is accompanied by two rats. From the west approach hell hound also accompanied by rats.

Yes. Unless I say otherwise, Nimble Dodge is on the first attack against Mary.
Mary ponders what to do next when she's suddenly blind-sided by more rats. Shaking off the lucky rat that scratched her, she says, "Rats! I hate rats!" She then spots the other dwarf. "Oh, what do we have here? I guess I spoke too soon. Seems we have two Leadbusters losers to deal with after all."
Whipping out her rapier, she pokes at the rat that just attacked her before moving over to flank and attack the one on Albrecht.
Action 1 (◆): Quick Draw

The woodpile is no hinderance for Albrecht as he fires another arrow at the dwarf.

strategic strike: 1d6 ⇒ 1
He follows up by firing at a rat and moving into cover between the tents.

damage-piercing: 1d6 ⇒ 5
@GM Farol-Which bowman needs to make a will save for daze? Albrecht or Mary? Here's Albrecht's just in case.
will save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22

@Albrecht - yes it was against you. There was one bowman and one bowwoman ;)
Mary pulls out her rapier and strikes, the first rat in front but she is too hasty and misses. Then she moves and attacks the rat next to Albrecht which she pierces to the ground and it stops moving. First miss, second hit. White -9 and dead!
Mary I moved you to match your description, please verify and change your position on the map if needed
Albrecht aims at red and shoots. Arrow hits the dwarf despite some cover. Red -2 Then he moves and sends another arrow, which hits a wall.
Save vs daze so only 2 dmg
The dwarf moves closer and looks at Bonnie. "Flee!" Casts Command on Bonnie Will save DC21
