Man, still spending gold... It's harder than I had thought, even buying plate armour.

Between work, taxes, and Easter, I wasn't able to work on my wizard much. With 2 of those 3 now behind me, I hope to get my character finished in the next day or 2. Sorry for the delay.

That is fine things have been a bit hectic on my end as well but I wading through it catching up. I may be launching Jereru here soon as I believe his character is mostly done although I still think he will need to buy equipment.

BTW Everyone -- you do not get Starting Equipment -- you will get a lump sum of coin that you can spend on resources.

With that said is there anyone in here that cannot do Discord as I am posting that information there but if you cannot do Discord I can post a copy here as well. Further if you do have Discord -- DeJoker#1460 -- send me a friend request with Labyrinth as the message and I will get you an invite to that server. I had to trash the first one as it had developed some kind of glitch so started all over from scratch but I save everything in documents so mostly a matter copy/paste but I have to get the time to sit down and do that.

Still need to know if I will need to copy things here or not as it is much easier for me to do it on Discord so will do it there first but if you cannot you do Discord then you cannot and that is fine. Just means you might get delayed a bit more before you can start as posting in two places takes additional time.

The average a 13 or better is not on each roll it is on the sum of all your rolls which you averaged 13 on the money so those stats are good to go as is.

1d4 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 8 + 2 = 14 2nd level HP
1d4 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 8 + 2 = 13 3rd level HP

Are there any limits on what Arcane Tradition I choose? I'm leaning towards Evocation but an considering others.

Okay the only limitation I have imposed is : If it is not in the Players Handbook or not in the Dungeons Masters Guide -- I reserve the caveat to examine whatever it is and potentially adjust it to fit within the game for balance/thematic purposes. Especially if it comes out of Tasha's book ;)

So basically whatever it is you want to play is fine by me but I will keep it balanced and I may adjust it to match thematically how it would appear in this campaign

Under equip there is a trinket list, I just felt like rolling off it for the giggles.

DC 12 arcana for Mage Hand into book: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22

Mage Hand is a Cantrip and Cantrips are not generally recorded into Spell Books because you either know them or you do not.

In fact per the guidelines they do not even state you can copy a Cantrip into your Spell Book and the general consensus is that is because you cannot. So if you want to use that roll for your other spell that is fine. However, if you really want to copy that Cantrip into your spell book and waste that scroll that is your perogative. I will even let you do that.

Now a cantrip on a scroll is still useful because it does allow you to cast it in case you do not know it.

Okay, I’ll take the 2 cantrips off my actual Spellbook as RAW is fine with me. I’ll keep the scrolls as as cause I don’t wanna have to figure out costs for other stuff and just stash them in my backpack :)

Okay and while I am okay with you calling it RAW -- I always find that a contradiction to what the writers of those books call them as they used that style they would refer to them as GAW (Guidelines as Written) ;) which is also how I perceive them.

Okay folks I have opened a Game Thread for basically making your mark so you have this game on your list and I will be creating the starting threads as characters appear within that thread.

As you will all start in your own thread and the Landing Zone will remain just that.

Hi there! Is there a spot left? I'd love to jump in with either a Dwarven rogue or maybe a Goblin fighter, whichever fits best..

Both fit okay just keep in mind the character is a hero type (LG, NG, CG, or LN) and capable of working with others assuming you want to join a group ;)

Note I have a Discord server where a lot of information for this game is being stored and while it is not necessary that you have access to Discord (free software) it would help. If you are on or get on Discord send me a friend request DeJoker#1460

If you cannot or simply do not want to get on Discord no issues there either just means getting your character ready to play will take longer is all

Okay just so everyone knows I am working on the characters -- finished Dee'Ly'Lah as she was the first to respond and now waiting on them to give me feedback

I am almost done with Tannan Valdri and once they are done and I am either awaiting feedback or launching them (if complete) I move on to the next

The next being Mark Calaway so will try to get this done fairly soon.

What do you mean with "being done with the characters"?

Going over the characters to make sure things are solid and creating a copy so that I can more easily reference them when I am planning things. The typical stuff a GM does to make sure they are prepared to run the game for the characters. Usually in a FtF all I have to do is review the character sheet as the player brings one each time.

For instance Dee'Ly'Lah was missing some rather important things and did not follow all of the character creation guidelines.
