“That druid communes with plenty o’ forest folk. He’d likely lend a hand. Findin’ him’s tricky, though. He made his home near a site o’ powerful sorcery. The dryads could prob’ly tell yuh where it be.” The large reaches over to one of his many gourds attached to his body. He bites on the cork and pops its open. He begins to pour the thick brown nectar into himself.
Felix C. Jaeger
|
Felix preemptively conjures another dozen gallons at his roots.
There is no need. Harral and Gardrick have been dead a thousand years already. We've spoken with the dryads and they provided some assistance already. But before we go, you seem to gave a long memory. Do you recall the Fellnight fae or their queen, Rhoswen?
| GM DocHoliday45 |
You watch as you dump another 2 gallons of water onto the old trees as his vine very quickly drink it up. The tree shakes his head as he is slowly sobering up. “The Fellnight Fae….Yuh mean those brambly spriggans? Runty little burrs! A blight on the land, they be! Their presence means the Fellnight fey broke free o’ the faengard barrin’ ’em from other planes. The faengard was a prison. The First World fey laid stones ta lock away one o’ their own—an evil queen and sorceress named Rhoswen. If’n the faengard be broken, only one o’ the elder fey would know how ta mend it. That Druid of yours is going to have to make a call.” The old tree take a long swing from his gourd until it empties.

Jang is totally flabbergasted.
”An … an elder?! You mean the Fellnight fey Rhoswen is so powerful?!? Oh … then we need to hurry up! To the Druid and these stones!!“ Jang says with concern in his voice.
He then looks at the tree for a long moment.
”Would you be willing to assist us in preventing Rhoswen from spreading her evil?!? Please!!“ he says with all the sadness of the situation pouring out of him into the tree.

Well you crit.
With now four gallons of water dumped into this huge tree, his mind slowly clearing as he looks at your group. “War never changes. Always more violence is brought to the forest. I will speak with remaining Guardian roots and send your group aid. For now, take these.” He rips four of the gourds hanging on his sides and hands them to you Jang.
“This nectar allows my kinds to experience forgetfulness in large doses. However if you small folk drink it, your skin will toughen slightly and give you some protection for you for an hour. Use it wisely. Good luck finding your Druid.” Vinroot stands up and stumbles slightly as sense return. He begins to make his way towards his people.
So now you have the unicorns and Treants on your side.
Jangafzaar Kargar

Jang bows.
“Thank you very much!!“ he says and hands three of the drinks to the others but he keeps one for himself.
Brie Magnum
|
Brie nods and accepts one.
Her mind thinking about how dangerous these fey were turning out to be.
Vomer Nosebone
|
No, but thank-you. We must go now. It is imperative to find the druid before nightfall. Vomer looks at the tree ...and you, my friend, take care, I wish you well. I promise we will help and .... water, drink more water .... goodbye Vomer starts moving towards our destination.

The group presses forward to Devvare home and makes a decent trek through the woods. Time passes and sunlight filters into this clearing, burning away the mist to illuminate a perfectly round hill dotted with fairy-cap mushrooms. Nearby, a small creek slowly trickles through a pond buffered by outcroppings of large black rock. The air hangs still, and even the sounds of forest animals seem absent.
Everyone roll me Will save dc 22.
| GM DocHoliday45 |
Felix your Will is much stronger then this ancient Fey magic as you clearly see this is an illusion. You rub your eyes and see past the mirage arcana.
You see three massive monoliths of eldritch stone rise from this circular hill, etched in ancient runes glittering with powerful magic.
To the south of the stones, a layer of pine boughs woven through a wooden frame covers a deep hole in the ground here.
To the right of the hole, A solidly built cabin stands among the forest trees next to a small garden of herbs, just a few feet from the trail leading to its door. You suspect this is Devarre’s cabin.

Her mind may not be strong enough to pierce the illusion. Close your eyes, Brie and I will take you through.
Felix C. Jaeger

Jang, what about the flower the dryad gave you. Would it disperse the illusion for Brie and Vomer?
Jangafzaar Kargar

Jang nods and hands it over.
He starts looking at the scene and walks around the hut.

Jang casts detect magic and looks around.
After that he knocks on the door.
Jangafzaar Kargar

Jang raises an eyebrow and looks at the other Pathfinders with a sad face.
He talks to the druid.
"The creatures of the forest need you! Many are dying and the Fellnight fey Rhoswen is so powerful that we have to know more about her! You have to help! Don't you feel the sadness and the death that is approaching??" Jang asks.
diplomacy: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (19) + 19 = 38

“Ah you know what is happening. Very well. I’ve hunted for their source of how they are getting into our world. It’s a big forest, though, so I haven’t had much luck. There are a few places I haven’t looked yet. If we split up, maybe we could cover more ground? Check the mountain to north. I will check to the springs to the south.” Sense motive checks from anyone who is listening to the conversation. You detect no magical effects on Devarre.
Jangafzaar Kargar
|
“Can you please enlighten us about the situation?! What do you know about the stones. How can we stop her from escaping her prison?!?“ Jang asks with despair in his voice.
sense motive : 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21
| GM DocHoliday45 |
Felix and Jang you both clearly tell something amiss in Devarre. If he was working to stop this threat, why is he just sitting in his cabin.
“Not a lot on the stones, I’m afraid. Their secrets are beyond the ken of one as short- lived as I.” You know this is counter to what Dryads and Vinroot said. He would know the secrets
Felix C. Jaeger
|
What aren't you telling us? Both the dryads and the treants assured us you would have more information.
Jangafzaar Kargar
|
sense motive : 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31
“Hmmm … doubtful… “
Jangafzaar Kargar

"You are hiding something and you seem to have an allegiance to the Fellnight fey Rhoswen!?? Do you serve her? Do you want to prevent us from destroying her? Because we will destroy her! Burn her down! She will not hurt anybody else ... she will pay for destroying those that love each other! Rhoswen will die to prevent her erosion of the communities in this area!" Jang suddenly says with a zealous expression.
Brie Magnum

Brie jumps down into the pit to examine the wolf. Seekign to see its manner of death and how long ago it was.

Brie you are looking at this dead wolf and just see a dead wolf. For basic understanding there are no wounds on the wolf that you can see. You also think this Druid is acting perfectly normal.
Devarre gives a sickly grin. “Then you can burn with the rest of them!”
He holds out his hand as Felix and Jang your armor starts to heat up.

If the target fails, it takes no action that round. The boredom lasts until the duration expires or the target breaks the spell’s effect with a successful Will save.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (10) + 14 = 24
Felix looks at the druid and utters a single word, Stop.
Hold Person, Will, DC 16
| GM DocHoliday45 |
Felix you are putting together something is wrong. If this guy was trying to kill you, why wouldn’t Druid fight you out in the forest. He would have the advantage. Also why would a high level druid drop such a low level spell. With that high roll, you can tell he is being controlled. What is a different story.
Will save 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Again this Druid Will is strong.
Naevys Driltormidan

Keep him alive he says. Ok.
Naevys grimaces slightly as some arcane energy flows from her hand into her pistol, then she fires twice at the 'druid'.
Swift to use Arcane Gun to make the Pistol Merciful, then a full round action to cast Acid Splash and fire twice.
