As the group quietly discussing how they can get away, the cackling of the insane gnome. “Whatever, we will take them off your corpses. Now….” A horn is blown from the distance as the group gives a pause as the calvary has arrived. Breaking the tree line, a stampede of unicorns comes crashing into a section of the unseelie army. A familiar unicorn Palombier who you saved from been burned alive drives his horn into the thorn gremblins. “Kindness repaid, friends! Leap down and we shall carry you out of here!” Your group looks back towards the bottom of waterfall and another group of unicorns have bursted through the army’s lines to give you a way of escape. Anyone who can’t fly make acrobatics dc 15 if you wish to jump.
You also see bursting across the battle, Vinroot and his fellow trenants come forward. In a drunken slur he shouts “I am not drunk!” As he swings his massive arms bashing the enemy. He quickly falls over landing on more of them. “Why is the world sideways?” The more sober trenants are putting up a good fight but will be overwhelmed

This is such an awesome post GM! ;-)
Jang is startled but a big smile forms on his face which is a rare incident for this very sad dwarf.
"Ahh! Community and support come to those that provide it to others ... thank you!!" he says and tries to jump on the back of the Unicorn.

Brie leaps forward using a few shocked gremlin's heads as steps, she vaults onto an unicorn's back.....

GM DocHoliday45 |

Jang you shuffle your way to edge and give a dwarvish sprint off the cliff and with a spoosh into the lower pool. You land near the unicorns who are holding off their attackers.
Naevy you fly off the cliff and land bareback on the unicorn who was surprised to have a flying individual land immediately on then.
Brie as the gremlins begin to swarm, you did a triple back flip kicking them aside and fall backwards into the pool with a graceful landing. The pixie holding a score card of ten for the perfect dive.
Vomer you don’t know how you didn’t break your legs jumping off the cliff. Maybe it was luck or expert timing but you were able to make a pretty good landing away from the sharp rocks.
Felix you give a good sprint but some vines begin to grab your ankle as the creatures begin to overrun your group. You pull away but that screws up the jump. You look down to see the sharp rocks down below. You quickly duck and roll at the last second preventing a very painful tumble off a cliff. The wind gets knocked out of you but nothing is broken.
The unicorns move towards your group. “Get on. Our forces will pull out once you are safe.”

The damp cleric drags himself from the water and pulls himself up onto the back of a nearby unicorn. Many thanks He wheezes while trying to catch his breath.

GM DocHoliday45 |

The group each mount a unicorn and rainbow shower forms a circle as they run through it teleporting your to another location. Greater teleport.
The unicorns abruptly arrive within a forest glade unaffected by the strange mist that has blanketed the forest for the past several days. Instead, faerie lights illuminate the clearing, dancing between the trees. Several creatures look up at your arrival—a host of centaurs, wood elves, satyrs, and sprites— all part of an encampment clearly armed for war.
You see familiar faces of Devarre the Druid and Fira the nymph who your group saved. Devarre comes over. “You did it. You got the stones out of the water so that she can’t send any more of here forces. For now. The issue is that her army has amassed in the forest and the ring of stones that held back her influence has been broken. That is a later issue to deal with as I require your help once more. Many of the factions that inhabitant the forest are not too keen on helping us. If you could help convince them that our side is just, that would help greatly.
First there Oreius Dawnsprinter who is the terrifying centaur standing off to the side with his Riders of the Verduran. He feels that they Unseelie have not attacked his people’s territory and so his interference is unnecessary. He doesn’t want to spill his people’s blood for other.
Then there is Lielaera Shantru who is the stern looking elf ranger. She commands a contingent of wood elves from Highgrove Vale. She feels that the guardians of the forest failed in their task and that her people shouldn’t be the ones to fix this mess. That the elves will not waste time in resources to defend those who should help themselves. An emissary from Unseelie has sent them message of peace between the elves to let the Unseelie claim it’s own territory.
The last Maligorn the charming satyr current drinking wine, along with his consort, Aripha the nymph who is playing with his horns represent the reigning Seelie Fey Court. They don’t wish to get involved as war is for the material plane. The Seelie and Unseelie have not fought in centuries and wish to continue that tradition. He is a party animal and quite frankly I think the Fey sent him as a joke showing of how serious they are taking the conflict. If you could convince them all to help us that would be a boon.”

![]() |

Jang thanks the Unicorns with his whole heart.
"You saved us! You are the reason that we breathe! Thank you!" he says with smile that pierces the sadness.
When Devarre explains the situation, he is clearly willing to support.
"Of course we can assist Devarre. It is very sad that such convincing is necessary! Where are they? We can tell them what we saw and what we risked!"
He suddenly panics and shifts around to see if Magas accompanied him!

Magas |

The strange intellectual vermin feels the emotions and flies towards Jang!
"Bzzzzzz .... bzzzzzzz .... "

![]() |

We will do everything we can to ensure the forest's safety.
Felix approaches the satyr with a bow.Devarre tells me the Seelie are concerned about rekindling the conflict with the Unseelie after centuries of coexistence. I only ask if you could educate me about some of the longer history of your court. There may be information buried in old tales that could help us. As I understand it the Fellnight Queen has been sealed away for millennia so tales of the more recent, bloodless centuries would be less helpful than stories of ancient battles. The queen may be unaware of any truces forged in the meantime.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25

"And how much time do we have before the drums of war sounds."

GM DocHoliday45 |

Devarre smiles as the group agrees to help. “They are spread around the camp. Your friend has already found the Fey court representuve. You can usually find him where the wine is kept in the camp. The centaurs I would assume be by the fire currently cooking up what they caught on their hunt. The elves would more than likely walking around the bounds of the camp checking the defenses. We have only tonight to convince them as we have to act quickly as the Unseelie would be making their next move now that the stones are taken.”
Devarre gestures around the camp to the different groups that can be easily found.
Felix has chosen to interact with Fey court. Who would like to interact with the other groups?
This is a skill challenge as the group will need to make diplomacy checks. Depending on what you say and how you react to their answer will up or lower the dc.
Felix you approach this satry who is lounging on the ground sipping from a goblet. The nymph currently massaging his temples. “Oh your the “heroes” of the forest. Look no offense. Your world is boring. Material plane has all these rules and order to things. The Seelie don’t really care what happens here. In terms of the history, the would be fey-queen Rhoswen sought to combine her own innate magic with that of the Shadow Plane. She settled in a gloomy, wooded valley on the material plane to practice her new art, and slowly succumbed to greed and corruption. Her need to dominate affected all those around her, until one day, the other denizens of that fey realm combined their powers to sever her realm from their reality. The court was worried she would get too powerful and try to infect our realm. We did it once and we can easily push her back if she tries to invade the Feywild. So we don’t really care about this place. I’m just here for the free wine.” He takes a sip from his wine.

I assume that we are all together when we approach the Satyr.
Jang looks at the Satyr and then shakes his head.
"I understand that you are feeling safe. But you cannot deny that the attack on the Nymph's could have endangered your kind. And I also believe that you are short-sighted if you believe that the fey-queen Rhoswen will stop here. I am sure that she will also look at the fey world after she has conquered this realm and you will see your loved one suffer ... " he says and the empathic approach he has and the sadness he feels can affect the heart of others.
diplomacy: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (16) + 21 = 37

I wonder how Rhoswen feels about your part in sealing her away from both the prime and the first world for all that time. I suspect she holds a grudge and will be after you first. Now that she has access to the prime, it can't be that hard to get to the first world and you, even if you run back there. You are much better served by helping us stop her now, before she has a chance to gather power and allies and come for you.

"I'm surprised that you'll put your free wine at risk seeing that you are a lover of fine wine." Brie points out.

GM DocHoliday45 |

The satry chokes a little on his wine from the party argument especially Jang’s words from either his empathic abilities or logic. “Oh fine. You mortals and your facts and logic. You all take things way too seriously. But fine. I’ll send it back to my court to send aid. They’ll send some Boggles to aid your forces. But don’t threaten my supply of wine which is endless.” He gestures with his hand and a small sprite appears. He pulls a leaf from his bag and hands it to the sprite. It teleports away. Congratulations you got the Seelie Fey on your side as the dc was 30.

Catching the hint that Vomer has an interest in the centaurs Felix heads off to speak with Oreius.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17
Welcome friends. We are most glad you could join us. Devarre tells me you have concerns about putting your people in harms way unnecessarily. I regret to inform you it is necessary if we do not band together now we will be overwhelmed one by one.

![]() |

Patting Vomer on his shoulder, Brie whispers to the man.
"Come on then, I'll go with you."

![]() |

So... let us go my friend - - to the amazing centaurs. Vomer mumbles to himself Be humble, be humble,.. don't ask to ride 'em, just don't . A big, nervous, fake smile crosses Vomer's face. He steels his courage and resolve as he makes his way, nonchalantly, with Brie towards the centaurs.

GM DocHoliday45 |

The group heads over to the pack of centaurs with Felix approaching the biggest one you would assume is Oreius Dawnsprinter. His massive frame with long spear and bow slung on his back. He gives a stone faced look to your group which begs you to wonder if this man has ever smiled in his life. The centaur stares downward at your group and looks Vomer dead in the eye. Either he knows your intentions or just gives that look to everyone as your paranoia and imagination runs through Vomer’s head. The centaurs speaks matter of factly and directed towards all of you. “And where was this sense of urgency and comradely in times before. When the demons and wild beasts invaded our lands, where were you? When winter’s grew scarce as the lack of food and game from the previous seasons, where were you when my people starved. Where were you when our enemies of tribes from across the mountains and beyond the valley came and invaded our lands. Where were you? We handles all of those problems on our own. It is clear this alliance only comes at your convenience. Why should I not tell my people to turn their rears to you as your people have snubbed us the same.” You see is a proud warrior who is very much seasoned by the events he speaks of. As you now seem to notice the variety of scars across his body that have healed and faded over time.

![]() |

I cannot speak for the other organizations or humans who have come before us. We can only speak for ourselves and our organization, the Pathfinder Society. We do not turn away when asked for aid, but do everything in our power to assist those who have requested it. She considers his martial bearing. I would assume you know something of military tactics. If you were the military leader of the Unseelie, would you be attacking first those who present the greatest threat to your plans, or initially attacking weaker enemies to increase your standing in trying to find allies and increase your forces before going after the stronger. Do you think they do not know this and will be coming after you once they are strong enough to be assured of victory? I suspect they do, and they are counting on your pride to make you overconfident, believing that you have nothing to fear from them. She shakes her head. We all have something to fear from these enemies, and that should make us, if not friends, at least temporary allies.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 25

Jang nods after Naevys speech and looks straight into the centaur’s eyes.
“You can feel in your heart that my companion is correct! Please support us!“
Auto aid diplomacy for Naevys.

GM DocHoliday45 |

The large centaur listen to each of your words and begins to pace back and forth. You seem a face that carries the weight of many battles. He flexes his arms as the decision has been made. “These Unseelie don’t wish to make peace. They seek dominatation upon this land. They will be our enemies later so we shall make them our enemies now. We will fight for your cause. Our ancestors will echo this in the great beyond. We trust you will keep to your word as our tribe will call on your finders of the path when we are in need.” You have convinced the centaurs to help in your cause. Only that remain are the elf rangers.

![]() |

"With the best forest calvary on our side, we will make those Unseelie rue the day they decide not to make for peace." Brie responds.
To the others,
"Th elven rangers now?"

![]() |

Vomer is thinking how F*&king awesome he could be riding a centaur into battle. He cowers and stares in awe at the mighty centaur, then at his feet. He squeaks out a weak TTThank-you. He then skitters off towards Brie whispering Yes, the rangers... let's go

![]() |

Felix leads the group over to Lielaera.
Welcome friends. We are representatives of the Pathfinder Society. It is by chance that we find ourselves here as the barriers were destroyed and the Fellnight Queen was released. Devarre tells me you feel the forest's guardians failed, but who could defend against an army magically appearing behind their defensive lines? The failure would be to give in after the assault without resistance not being overwhelmed. Gathering allies is what anyone would do when faced with a numerically superior foe. It's the first step in preparing the counter attack.
He pauses... Second actually. Our first step was to cut off reinforcements to the invading Unseelie. But we need more help. We are strong, but we are few. We can't be everywhere and even a giant can be felled by a thousand scratches. Will you help us?
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (11) + 13 = 24

Jang nods after Felix’s has spoken!
“We believe that you are in real danger and that an alliance will give strength to this opposition. Please look into your hearts!!“ the dwarf says emotionally.

Do you believe that the Queen will keep her word and stop at the territory she claims to want? I do not. I expect that once she has taken that territory and claimed new allies, she will come after you. Your lands and people may be safe at the moment, but this threat will grow and consume this whole portion of Golarion if we do not work together to stop it. Please, help us stop her.

The group approaches the final factions you see eloquent yet rustic group of wood elves all dressed in outdoor survival gear with various forms of bows. The one who carries herself with an aura of authority you assume to be Lielaera Shantru commander of the contingent of wood elves from Highgrove Vale. Her face betrays no emotion as she listens to your words. None of the elves give reactions to your argument. As each of you make your points, the elf calmly speaks but presents a showing of strength. “Our ancestors urged to take on the task of protecting these lands. Letting both the centaurs and Seelie fall under our banner would have prevented this from happening. The Seelie refused as is their chaotic nature to push any form of order thinking that their free spirits will prevent tragedy from occurring. The centaurs with their prideful belief that anything can be solved with their own spear tips. It was their arrogances that has led us to this point. The Unseelie have a massive force and offered us peace. In fact they have offered us to betray this land and let them pour over the valley killing all of you. As you would rightly deserve as these forest politics were going to be the death of this place. As the saying goes, their chicken have come to roost. I pose this too you all. What would prevent this from happening all over again? That we are just preventing the eventuality of the Unseelie victory. We will live longer than all of you so we are the ones who will be greatly affected by todays actions. Why don’t you all leave and let these fools die?”

![]() |

Hearing their spokeswoman speak, Brie is understandably not impressed with her.
"So I see your ancestors turning in their graves likely as their descendants have grown proud thinking that they alone can stem the tide and forget what they have told their descendants to do. Protect the lands. However you would rather betray all of that just because you feel you can rule? Having an alliance would make you all stronger but if you think you alone can hold out then you are threats as well. Once the Unseelie has being dealt with whether with or without you. You and yours likely won't last long either."
She draws out her blade and does a few moves out of an ancient Blade dance.
"Living longer then others makes no difference if one lives an empty life."

Jang is not amused by the direction.
“It is hard for me to believe that you are not willing to admit what your fears are already telling you … that you might not be able to counter the forces of evil in case we fall and you are then alone! Join us now!!“ Jang says while steering the emotional pressure.

There is not and never will be a definitive victory for either side in a fight between good and evil. The tide moves in both directions, but neither side completely destroys the other. Balance in all things, yes? If you wish to be on the side of the Unseelie, we cannot stop you. I would ask that you consider what the backlash will be? Are the elves leaving Golarion again? I suspect that is not the case. If you do not wish to live under the rule of the fellnight queen, you should aid us in our fight.

Oh my, how, I repeat, how can you turn your back when needed. This goes beyond petty pride and misunderstandings. Please, we must join together before it's too late Vomer actually forgets, for a moment, to look at his feet when talking.
