Or is it far that stays your hands? Are you afraid we won't stop the Unseelie? Afraid your arms won't be able to stand up to hers? Is that why her offer seems so tempting? Because it offers the appearance of an easy way out?

Well that will do it. This was the hardest faction to convince. The elf commander eyes betray no emotion as she speaks in a monotone voice. “Our ancestors did their best to stave off many threats to these lands. And yet these….free loaders such as the Seelie cause more chaos in their wake. We have had clean up their messes long before your ancestors. Fear and death are all valid consideration as our people don’t wish to waste our lives to a losing side. We don’t wish to be on the Unseelie as they are as just as bad as the rest of the Fey. You are correct their offer is tempting as we won’t have to work with factions we dislike. We have no disrespect to the centaurs and their ways. They have simple lives and do their best to keep themselves isolated. The offer is tempting as not wanting to leap into battle. Blood and Treasures paid to another is a cost for the later generations.” She takes a long breath. “We will aid your side. The Unseelie would more than likely betray us. We simply wanted to see what would be said from you all. We give our word we will not side with them and aid your group in the coming battles.” The group of rangers continue to their walk guarding the camp.
Devarre comes back to the group. “By the gods how the heck did you convince that woman to help us? Ice has more warm feeling than her.”

Jang bows to the group of rangers as they depart and he feels and emptiness inside of him.
When Devarre asks he shakes his head.
"We showed them the truth. That a lot of blood will flow and many lives will be lost. Lives that mattered to loved ones ... it is a tragedy to come." he says with a tear rolling down his cheek.

Bowing to the elven spokeswomen.
"I on my part will be honored to battle alongside all of you."
As Deverre expresses his astonishment, Brie points to her companions.
"Cooperate is one of our core tenants and you're looking at some of the best living examples." she indicates her party.

GM DocHoliday45 |

“Truth and cooperation are things we will definitely need to over come this ordeal. Tomorrow morning we are going to plan out our strategy to push back the Unseelie. I’m sure you are all exhausted from such an insane journey. You can find some food and rest in camp. For now this place is safe.” Is there anything people wishes to do before going to bed?

Brie is more then happy crash and recover her full battle status.

For Felix, Brie and Magas, your dream takes you back to the scene at the waterfall except there is no Calvary. You hear cackling echoing from the distance as Tenzekil orders the the Spriggans to swarm the party. Hundred of the twisted root gremlins begins to attack your party. The initial barrage the group holds their own but over time you are overwhelmed. The cuts and pricks from the vines begin to break down your defenses. Felix your spells run out and your symbol is ripped from your grasp. You feel your final breath as your throat is cut and the Spriggans dances on your corpse. Brie your unbreakable defense is finally beaten as your feel your arms grabbed up by roots and feels the multiple stabbing into your chest as your weapon falls from your hand. Magas is ripped to the ground as oil is poured on his wings. The little bastards all pull torches and toss it on the giant mosquito bursting into flames. You hear echoing across the battlefield “Abandon your folly, or when next we meet, I’ll do much worse than haunt your dreams.” The female voice forms a chill down everyone spine. For those who pass, you realize you are dreaming and have lucid control over your dream as you watch your allies have gruesome fake deaths. Vomer, Naevys, and Jang describe how you change the dream.

Jang is concerned.
He tries everything in his power to prevent those that have built a community and that have formed a bond to break apart! He prays to his God Erastil to support him with his summoning spells and brings down celestial animals and heavenly creatures with his summoning spells that banish the darkness and the evil queen’s minions!
”You will not hurt us!! We have an alliance! You are alone!!“ he shouts in the dream.

Naevys's pistol smokes as round after round pours from it, dropping every spriggan she aims at. Her magic springs readily from her fingertips and her enemies all fall. This does nothing to help my god complex...

GM DocHoliday45 |

As the dream begins to break down as the three were able to will themselves back under control, the party awaken in variety of places. Brie and Felix you awaken in a cold sweat with your body tingling like hundreds of ants crawling over your body. You are fatigued and take [d]1d10[/d] damage. You are unable to recover spells from your rest. Naevy you awake holding your gun in your hand standing in the middle of the camp. You notice various bullet holes in tents and boxes. The fellow members of conclave have surrounded you in a distance. Vomer you are currently sitting on the back of extremely scary centaur leader. He does not look like a happy camper. Jang you are standing in a tree holing your staff out like you were about the cast a spell. The elf ranger squad seem to have a tarp out to try to catch you.

![]() |

Is this a fear effect?

![]() |

Jang immediatly drops his hands and does not cast the spell.
He then looks around and raises his hands.
"I ... I was in a horrible dream ... you were all in there too ... I am sorry if I did something unintended!" the dwarf says with sorrow in his voice.

![]() |

No rage for me then.
"They have already started this war. It's down to us to finish it!"

![]() |

Naevys looks around the camp. Damn, what the heck was that? Never had a dream where I used my pistols before.

![]() |

D'oh. Sorry oh great centaur. I was walking in a dream sleep and ended up here. Again, so sorry Vomer grovels as he quickly dismounts off the centaur. That was weird. Did any of you also have weird dreams with real world outcomes? I'm so embarrassed Vomer looks at his feet, blushing. Soon after, Vomer's face becomes stern and angry We must fight this evil. This can't happen again. Who is up for the fight

GM DocHoliday45 |

Vomer you watch as the Centaur snorts and walks away from you. The group gathers from their senses as Maligorn the party satry waves his hand around his group. You then see a green aura of magic wash over you with a beautiful spectral flower appears on your chest. “There now she can’t enter your dreams for at least a week. I’m helping.” He sips his wine and walks away. Devvare runs over to the group. “I’m sorry that happened to you. We didn’t realize how much of her power has returned. I was speaking with the other conclave leaders and we hatched a plan. Thanks to your efforts of convincing the factions to oppose the Unseelie, we have a strong enough force to engage their army head on. This will be the distraction as your mission will be the killing blow. The blessing of unicorns have agreed to teleport your to her realm to repair the wardstones that would prevent her from magic taking root in the material plane. By repairing the ring of wardstones with those they reclaimed from the pool, she can’t send more forces to reinforce her army. Then you have to travel to the highest tower of Rhoswen’s palace, you can reactivate the faengard with the crook of Cildhureen. It’s her magical focus, so you will have to pry it from her dead hands. This will trap her in realm for good and her army will fall over dead. She won’t be able to reform and her essence will be unable to effect the plane. Any questions?”

![]() |

Jang thinks for a moment.
"Well, do you know what defenses or special abilities we have to face? And is there a ritual for the faeingard?" he asks.

GM DocHoliday45 |

Her realm is only several miles long. You have trek directly to her castle, the unicorns will have to burn their teleportation to get you to a weak point between the planes. That will help you get into the realm. It would be guarded but we will draw her forces away. What is known about her castle has been lost to the ages, she could have changed it. The crook has been recorded and described twisted and gnarled black oak staff that draws upon the formless magic of the Shadow Plane. There is a ritual that requires an intense amount of knowledge planes or arcane. If anyone of you have the mental fortitude I will break down the ritual. DC 25. This will require you to place the wardstones back where they belong in the realm and then casting the ritual with the crook.

![]() |

"Would be helpful if someone could remove this fatigue from me. It'll prevent me from using boosts on myself." Brie states as she listens to the directions given.
"So we have to kill her and then complete that ritual. The ritual will prevent her spirit from reforming?"

![]() |

Vomer has virtually no charisma - as U may have noticed. He is of above average wisdom, and an atheist, but smart as they get so... looking at his feet Vomer says Ritual 'eh. As long as it's not some silly god stuff I might be able to figure it out .... or at least help. He looks up - sees some clerics and a druid, twitches a bit, then quickly looks at his feet again. Sorry to my godly friends He chuckles dryly

![]() |

Naevys considers what has been said so far. Just to be clear, the unicorns will take us to a weak point where we will be able to cross into her plane. Once there, we will need to walk to her castle, find and kill the queen, then find this gnarled, black oaken staff (crook) and then use it to complete the actual ritual. Is that right?
Kn(Arcana): 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20
Vomer, I seem to be missing something magically to be able to understand this ritual, perhaps you can attempt to do so?

GM DocHoliday45 |

Brie and Felix you feels your fatigue wash away as Devvare waves his hand. He casted lessor restoration removing the effect.
Felix and Naevy as Devvare tries to break down the ritual for you to understand, but it seems to be far more complicated for your understanding. There are more runic symbols that you are unfamiliar with.
Devarre nods towards Brie and Naevy. “Correct. She will remain trapped in her realm as a formless essence. This will prevent her from breaking the warding once more.”

![]() |

"Ok, I am ready I think. Let us end this sadness!" the dwarf says with a sad face.

![]() |

Brie sighs in relief as the fatigue leaves her. Thanking the druid.
"That hits the spot. Now let's get to smacking this queen down."

![]() |

No preparation for me.
“I am ready although I dislike teleport!!“

![]() |

After a good night's sleep Felix says a prayer fo for knowledge and tries to figure out the ritual again
Knowlege (Arcana), guidance: 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 10 + 1 = 20

![]() |

Brie Prepares hserlf with Mage Armor and Shield.
"I'm ready for this fight then."

![]() |

After resting and re-preparing spells, Naevys attempts to go through the ritual again as well.
Kn(Arcana): 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16
Vomer, you got this? I really just don't understand how these energies are supposed to interact. maybe it's a divine vs arcane thing?
Naevys taps herself with her wand of Mage Armor before we are teleported, and goes with both loaded and one pistol drawn.
