Which is of course mildly hilarious, as both myself or Amadea would be far more threatening and dangerous if we were to share the alignment of our forebears. Ekaterina responds telepathically.

Other issue with the diredragon is that... Look, either me or Amadea in a working class pub will start fights by our well, feminine presence. There are instances where a female presence has a civilizing effect, but a bar is typically not really among them. Did you observe any specific information Bob? I was mostly focused on giving impressions and diplomatizing, I didnt take that much note about stuff like tabulating military forces, assessing state of defenses etc. She continues in the same venue.

Amadea's Disguise is a modified Brooch of Blending (her Ring worth up to 8k), and was a gift from her mother. It works like an Alter Self effect, and is therefore a physical change, not an illusion. She can't use it to change her appearance, only to hide her fiendish features and take on a single human appearance. Basically, her face remains unchanged, but her arms and tail/legs are transformed to the typical number. It also conceals her alignment, making her appear True Nuetral to any observer. As an object enchantment, it is at will, so she doesn't need to refresh it.

"I agree about the taverns. I'm also trying to project an image as a Lady, so hanging out in taverns is probably not a good idea. I should have brought a handmaiden. I'd suggest we take adjacent rooms at the Blue Goose. I have a Ring of Sustainance, so I only need to sleep 2 hours, making watches fairly easy to maintain."

Amadea will spend her three days trying to build up goodwill. If there is an adventurers guild here, she will visit there. If they have any jobs posted, it might be a very welcome diversion, and a chance to guage her game abilities against things in this much more realistic world and see how they compare. Otherwise, she will commission a dress from each of the local seamstresses, paying lavishly for their services. She'll buys all books anyone is willing to sell, and let word of mouth spread that she is paying good prices for any books in private hands anyone might be willing to sell. She'll also entertain guests at the Goose, should any of the local minor nobles or merchant elite want to meet to discuss their interests or profur their trades and services.

Well, it's been nearly 24 hours since Domayoku's last post. As per my lovely DM wishes, I shall post.

My summer vacation this year is a STAYcation as are all vacations for me. I have family visiting in early August so I don't think posting will be an issue.

I love DM Wolf's campaigns so much. They are a joy to play, epsecially because he's okay when I post stuff like this...

With no other discussion from Ginza and Kazko, Domayoku and Shashanta return to the tavern and attempt to talk up the tavern wench, asking her name, small talk, etc.
With his sultry burning animal magnetism, Domayoku asks if the wench would like to share an evening of carnal pleasure with him and his infernal assistant.

North Group.
@Amedea, there is an adventurers guild here in Amberville. It is what you first thought was a warehouse. It has a pub, rooms, and such available to members. Which you quickly find out it run by a no nonsense female half elven lass, by the name of Norma. Norma the ball breaker.

Word spreads quick about the two beauties that entered the town. Indeed a few brash local minor nobles come to discuss their 'interests'. Several merchant elite want to meet to discuss their interests or profur their trades and services.We can just leave it at that and get a diplomacy check from you for each of them, or we can roleplay them out.

South group.
Domayoku finds that the wench does favor him and his companion, through flirting and casual talk. The other patrons are not taken care of as well as you. She would love to join you once she was done working and had some time to clean up.

Domayoku wakes up to a small room and mutliple bodies around him. His companion and the wench, Lissa. She also had a few more friends that joined in the night of carnal pleasure. All of the normal females are exhausted and sleeping it off. Shashanta sits in a seat across the room enjoying the sight. She of course has a tray with coffee, biscuits, and sausages.

Once Domayoku gets free from the bodies and the bed, he can consume his morning meal in peace. At least until Shashanta has her tail tickling some special spots that you enjoy. Domayoku finds that his other companions ready to set out, outside of your house. Traveling to the next village or to the next town?

After the judo throw by Lady Ekaterina the other suitors quickly disperse.

Lady Ekaterina does not sense any lies, though omissions are evident. The entirely professional requests of the artisans and merchants, taking and sharing extensive notes and eagerly discussing possible trading arrangements leads to you to learn a lot about the trade of Amberville and the other nearby towns. Though what would you have in terms of trade? Or rather what items or resources would you be interested in procuring for the guild?

You notice several individuals watching you for those days. On the third day you believe one of the watchers approaches. He is likely in his 20's and holds himself dignified like a noble. His dark almost black hair seems to just absorb light along with his black horns. A black goatee resides on his charismatic face. The wealth of this noble is evident as he has four rings on that all look expensive but one has a ruby the size of a coin. He introduces himself politely, "I am prince duke Sebastian De' Artor of Kotar. I hear you are trying to learn about Amberville and the Free States. I am here to finish a trade agreement with the Count. Perhaps we can help each other? I hear you will have a meeting with the Count tomorrow. If you would use your talented skills in persuading him to better arrangements for the trade, I would be willing to be a font of information for you. Should that not be enough my information brokers can track down anything else you wish to learn."

Though with a wave from a half elven lass, those weapons are stowed and business continues. She smiles and replies, ::A person would normally go up to the counter and interact with one of the clerks. Though you are extraordinary. You wish to join the guild? What are you exactly and may I touch you?":: She continues to give you 5 feet of space unless you accept to be touched.

Good Sir De Artor, this is our first diplomatic contact with the count, humbled as I am by your gracious request, I am uncertain if we have the wherewithal, diplomatically speaking, to make any attempts for negotiating on behalf of third parties in the current situation, especially if these third parties are in essence unknown to us. Can I make this evil grand vizier reject my asset? Lets think, clearly was born to wealth, thus wears wealth he does not earn himself. Thiefling, as such a degree of devilish or demonic ancestry, strongly implying a chip on his shoulder, although I cannot tell at this part if its due to not being half fiend or due to not being fully mortal. The fact that I am a half fiend myself is not yet fully known, and if it were known too much association with him, and the people he represents would result in peoples perception of them being transfered to me. At least here, this is likely a liability. Clearly, more information is required. He is smart enough to know that information is what he has to offer, as such he will not freely part with it unless of course...

May I enquire how far your remit of negotiation goes? Are you specifically commissioned to make a trade agreement with Amberville? Depending on the specific modalities of course, but it would appear that my guild represents technology that is more advanced then the regional average, as such I believe that establishing access to such new means could represent a credible improvement, both for your faction as well as your standing within it. I am of course not asking for you to yield any secrets, but an overview of your active assets, manpower, productive capacities, on the level known by an average citizen of your holdings, would go a long way to enable such exchanges.

I think he is of the combination of intelligence and paranoia to believe I am testing him by only wanted "open source" information, if I were in his position, I would assume that my counterpart already has such information and just runs a test, to see if I respect him enough to not lie about such basic things.

Following this, Ekaterina uses the just made contacts with various traders and craftmens, asking those she considered the most solid to tell her the background of the de Artor family, the reasons why their "trade agreement" has not yet worked, offering a small favor in the future in return. She makes these inquiries quite stealthily, to evade possible oberserves effectively.

The three travelers will head back North, stopping at the Guild Hall, in hopes of meeting up again with the rest of the guild. Then, hopefully, as a guild, journey to Ulgarfield and become officially registered.

The merchants and traders can tell you the most basic information. The de Artor family, is the ruling family of Kotar. Sebastian being a prince Duke is one of the many the nephews of the crowned prince. There is about a dozen nephews and neices, though the crown prince doesn't have any heirs of his own. Their "trade agreement" has worked, it just has not been finalized yet.

Amadea will also shut down any visitors that do not bring legitimate business concerns, though probably in less dramatic fashion than Ekaterina. She will decline to discuss courting or suitors, simply dismissing the individual if they stick on the topic, and leaving herself if the persist.
She will have it known she is interested in trade, safety of the realms, and public works, and that personal concerns are not on the table.

Any luck with the local guild chapter? Any local threats or monsters? It would be nice to try a little combat...

White the rest of his party had their night activities, GInza had went back and gotten himself registered as an adventurer though he had to start from the lowest rank.

It didn't matter to him. To him, holding membership in such an environment might pay off sooner or later. Besides the night didn't seem that active to him and he settles down to observe the surroundings.

He noted the strenuous activities being conducted but he let his guild mates be. Instead he breaks down several recipes in his mind and tries to concoct other possible combinations.

So engrosses is he that finds himself in the kitchen with a full day's breakfast feast for the inn though the resident cook might not be too pleased with him using the kitchen to make breakfast. He even did it with the previous night's leftovers. In return he did write out the recipes and methods he used in cooking the day's breakfast as thanks.

Bob, there is nothing more than her touching you. She is intrigued by the talking and sentient plant. From the way she touches your tendrils and different moving parts, you know that she is very knowledgeable on plants. She mentally replies to your questions, ::They sound amazing. Through Lady Ekaterina he conveys, "The Dwarven kingdom and Grand Victory are at war. I am intrigued to meet one of Grand Victory's warlords. Yes it may be a risk but then we will have an idea of their mettle. Though infiltrating the Dwarven kingdom might bring forth opportunities to be recognized and rewarded for the interactions of Grand Victory. Honestly this is the most unrest that the East of the continent has in years if not decades. They are also summarily being invaded and losing to this new entity. The Countess here has been very helpful and providing some spells for my aid. She is a forward captain of Grand Victory and holds Ulgarfield with a magic iron fist. Apparently the armies of Grand Victory have gotten to the mountains and have claimed all of the lands as their own. I think going to the dwarves first would be my best option but I am looking for perspective. I know many minds are better than one and as a man I can get tunnel vision."


Entering into the Greeting Hall you find Alexandria. Her thickly braided hair covers her face. She would rush up to the first one entering and ask, "May I join you when you head out again? I have learned much about your keep and guild but I need some excitement."


In the greeting hall, a pair of battle maids wait at the couch where they were tending to Alexandria. Full armored guards, most likely skeletons, stand at 30 foot intervals at each column. A skeletal servant walks up to each of you and asks, "Is there anything that you need, my lord?"

The Basilisk sounds like the most impressive way to prove our might, and may enable us to rescue grateful stoned captives. I do not however have the capability to cast Stone to flesh.

Kn. whatever to know about Basilisks, in particular if there are ways to unstone its victims other then spells: 10 + 3 + 2 + 1 + 3 + 2 = 21 (+2 from tears to wine)

There may however be another way

Assuming the 21 was enough:


A Basilisks blood can be used to unstone a victim. If we can permanently blind it, we could capture it and bleed it, healing it intermittently until we succesfully unstoned all of its known victims. While this may sound somewhat brutal, its victims in my opinion deserve to not be petrified.

Taking 10 because lore master, 3 from class skill, 2 from int, 1 from invested skill point, 3 from bardic knowledge, 2 from tears to wine, other then nobility, I have the same knowledge in all kn. skills.

Ginza spends a bit of time to find and Dispatch a Dire wolf.

Depending on where he finds it, he either unleashes his abilities to make quick work of it or tones down his movements in order to avoid alarming anyone else of his true capabilities.

It shouldn't take him long to find and dispatch one anyway.

In the pitch of night Ginza stalks the dire wolf with unearthly grace. With no lights for hours you are safe to use some of your abilities. The wolf is easily dispatched.

Demon Spawn? Sounds interesting!


Within the strategy room of the guildhall Domayoku looks upon the magical map that is based on guild members' knowledge it has grown far more extensively. You are likely glad that this magic is still working.

You can see in the East of the continent there is Ulgarfield as the closest town. With a splattering of villages along the way. Then on the far left you see the West of the continent with Amberville as the closest town on that side.

The mountains become more detailed next to Ulgarfield, more villages spring up, no those are keeps in the mountains and some of them are underground.

He continues to relay thoughts as he acts, "Those demons were pitiful, not even a scratch from them. The dwarves were very thankful. They are taking me to see their local lord."

A few hours later he relays, "The Dwarven lord was most appreciative of my support. He had given me a gold rating for the adventuring guild. I could likely take on the whole keep. I am flying around the mountains some to familiarize myself with the region. I have a feast to be at in my honor soon. I will check back in once that is done."

"The feast was a blast, lots of Dwarven war songs, dancing, ale, whiskey, flaming axes, the whole shebang! I spoke with the lord again and I will be meeting with the warlord of Grand Victory tomorrow."

Ginza finds the fight with the wolf somewhat lacking as he realizes his enhanced senses and speed has him at a severe advantage against it. He didn't even need to draw his blade as he pummeled the wolf with a cool methodical approach until it gave up its life.

Bringing it back to the keep, he found Alexandra waiting for him and he nods in acceptance with her request.

"Please, take a seat in the dining hall, within one candle's mark I'll have another meal ready for you."

His assistants chopping up wild vegetables and heating up the oil. Ginza has his most skilled subordinate skin and dress the wolf so that he could bring the wolf back as proof of his kill.
Grilling the meat lightly and then seasoning it with spices, he brings the prepared meal out to Alexandra on silver plates.

"Your Meal, my lady. If you are willing, once you are ready. Pack lightly and I could see about bringing you to the nearby village as I've taken on a job to slay a wolf and need bring back proof."


"Thank you Ginza. You are always so willing to cook." She blows on it too cool it down and then begins to dig in. She nods and once her mouth is empty once more she says, "That sounds interesting, did the wolf have much fight in it, was it a battle or a slaughter?"

Ah, the rule of pompous organization names, the more pompous the more useless, dont forget that you can make gift once per day if you somehow fail a save against their antics, me will against charm and compulsion, while less powerfull then yours, can still be sufficient if you get extremely unlucky once. If I would be them I would play dead, or pretend to yield, so dont drop your guard!

"I must confess that the fight was over for the wolf before it had even begun." Ginza speaks with a sense of melancholy

"It was a fine beast and fought hard but it's teeth could not find purchase on my armor now did its powerful muscles and body prevent my blade from separating it from life in a single blow." He gives Alexandra a small bow.

"I must apologise for not being able to tell a stirring battle between me and the wolf but it would be a disservice to the wolf on a whole."

Ginza upon being done with the meal will inform the guild of Alexandra's request to follow along as well his submission of the request to the guild.

Domayoku is about to leave the Guildhall, when Shashanta steps forward, looking expectantly.
"Shashanta. I'm sorry, but I'll need you to stay here." The elu-demon looks particularly sad.
"I need you here to organize my other minions who haven't shown. Once found, we shall have a meeting discussing our collective futures. I'm counting on you as always."
Shashanta nods, looking resolute.

The Demon King, Ginza, and others begin their journey to Amberville.


Bob:
You said something about divination spells but you haven't casted anything.

Ginza, Alexandria, Domayoku, Kazko, and any of their subordinates that they invite gather and take about a day to get to Amberville. Enough time to get dinner, settled, and sleep. The next day is the appointment to meet with the Count. So most of the guild will be there.

Feel free to interact with each other, upon getting to Amberville and for the night. Will someone setup accommodations for them coming or leave it up to those who are coming? Just a few questions.
