I worked a bit on this over the holiday. I made a GM slide deck with sign-in slides, NPC art, maps for all four tiers, and art/tokens for all of the 5-6 tier (which should have lots of crossover with the 7-8 tier) and some of the 1-2 tier enemies.

You can always copy a slide deck to your own and edit that without risking someone accidentally changing the original owner's deck.

Do we want to add spell templates? I have slides for those, but they do not have your pretty background...

Also, Doug: can I get hold of your Secret Checks document, so I can have characters fill it out?

I added a blank slide with the background so you can copy it and add spell templates or whatever else you like in your own copy.

Dennis, how are we handling recruitment on Discord for the Special?

Sorry I missed this last night. As you've probably seen by now, I posted the player sign-up sheet, which includes Discord games, here. I posted in the OPO discord and Find the Path, and I believe Fi posted in Cayden's Keg, but feel free to post that anywhere else you think it should go.

I don't want any table stuck running 2 pregens. That would suck. But I just poked a few of my local Minnesota friends who have murmured about wanting to try PBP on occasion to see if any of them take the bite.

When should we begin doing mustering and preparation missions? Do they begin as the convention begins, on January 10th? I am holding off on starting some in character chatter, as it looks like one of my players may have to head to Bret's table soon.

I have assumed an official start 12 am GMT (4 Pacific, 7 Eastern), which is when the con starts, with a day for character intros as part of the skill checks.

You're welcome to do any introductions/RP right now, but no working on the prep missions (no dice rolling, essentially) until the official start. We'll have some time in the schedule built in for that.

Alright, I got a third player but need to verify they are good to play for credit,

They played it once at the 1-4 tier at GenCon with a 4th level cleric.

They want to play it at my table with their 8th level fighter.

That works, correct?

This scenario has two versions: one designed for levels 1–4 and one for levels 5–8. When assigning and adjusting tables, remember that PCs can play at a table only if their level falls within the range for that version. Each of these versions counts as a separate scenario. Players and GMs may earn credit for each of these two versions once.

Sorry for the slow updates from me here, folks; it's been a rough week. I'll try to get the timeline laid out tonight, and will have the reporting mechanism laid out before anyone gets to the point they need to report something.

No timeline yet, it seems.

Then I will assume we have 48 hours for mustering missions unless we hear otherwise.

EDIT: There's no House GM text to launch the intro section, so you can launch whenever you're ready AFTER MIDNIGHT UTC.
