I never noticed this before, but Loremaster’s Etude is a free action to cast but has a trigger. Weird way to structure it.

Can I just use a free action to set it up and then the trigger causes it to take effect? I’m not certain how it is supposed to work when using it for someone else’s Recall Knowledge check.

If it requires that I ready, please move me back behind Samantha and I will have only done the Triple Time and ready the Loremaster’s Etude.

I have a quandary to adjudicate. The Snapjaw's Reflex DC is 20, so even with the Hero Point, only one of Bull Market's Tumble Through attempts is a success. Based on one success and one failure, I have put Bull Market in an unoccupied square past the first Snapjaw (Yellow)

My take is that his first attempt "ends his movement" adjacent to the two, the second attempt got him the 25 feet straight across both.

How come the Prefect can do a second attack if the knockdown effect would use his second action?

The way I read Knockdown, it is an optional action the creature can take, so it is not part of a two-action activity like it is for PCs

Yes, I agree. I was thinking that the knockdown was implied by the attack if the target has a metal armor (because of the electricity) and that staying prone for Nosaj would have been optimal in terms of action economy on both sides (Nosaj has one more action and the prefect one less). Nosaj will change his strategy from now on (the crit on the 2nd attack was quite painful :)).

I am preparing a post for the morning that should wrap things up, but feel free to roleplay for a couple of days.

I plan to generate Chronicle sheets Monday evening, so please do any downtime rolls that you want me to include prior to that. Under the latest guide, players are responsible for their own downtime, but I will record it if it is rolled for me. I should have them available to you late tomorrow or early Tuesday. I'll mark the thread inactive a couple of days after that.

I hope everyone had fun. This was actually more challenging than I expected it to be.

Once again, constructive criticism is welcome. I plan to keep GMing in PbP, so things that can help me improve are appreciated.

I think you did a good job with this and have no criticism.

That was fantastic. One of the things you did really well is making sure to describe what happened back to us players. I've found a lot of rookie pbp GMs won't describe things like misses some times, and it leaves players wondering, did the GM miss my post or did I miss etc?

I found it always clear what was going on, and who's turn it was etc.

Also very good on the posting rate, and letting us know when you needed a break rather than just disappearing for a few days which unfortunately happens some times.

Not especially pbp specific, but for even better descriptions vary up the senses used. Rather than always/only describing what you can see, add other senses as well.

Example:

Teki pushes the door open and sees six creatures in the room. One tall one with an odd, glowing whip and five boxy little ones, with sharp teeth that look metallic. Every inch of this granite cave has been polished until it sparkles.

I have not decided yet. It will probably be a low level repeatable, but I haven't thought much further than that. I have run 1-06 Lost on the Spirit Road, 1-10 Tarnbreaker's Trail and 1-14 Lions of Katapesh several times each on Roll20, so those are on my mind. On the other hand, another quest or bounty will bring me to a multiple of four and might fix my GM table count on Paizo.com, but probably not.

During his downtime, Nosaj continues to do what he does best: crafting and repairing shields (including his own)!

Minor correction, my downtime check was a critical failure, I rolled a one.

For those who are curious, both Professor Panizir and Teki Stronggut were Starstone hopefuls that I wrote up for Pathfinder AP 160: Assault on Hunting Lodge Seven. I wrote up Professor Panazir first, and then I realized that he had this goblin who was following him, listening to his lectures, and making her own decisions about them. So after the article came out, I made Teki into my second PFS character, because I kind of fell in love with this goblin hopeful.
