* Get the evil Drow seeds 200 miles to a wizard who can destroy them and set the trapped souls free.

It takes Daniel a bit longer to navigate the mists and when he emerges he seems a bit weaker. Hearing the noises he says "That doesn't sound good." He then prepares for battle by waiting until the beast sounds like it is about to be here and downs one of his extracts causing him to grow in size, while he stands with his swords at the ready.

"Safely walked through, not a hair on me beard harmed. But...I hear something." Khardon's voice dropped, taking on a serious tone. "Something large...and someone screaming." He called back. Turning to Daniel he raised his revolver and said "We should go check that out."


'With her husband.' Nodding, Seljak responds, "Well, I trust we will find them both unharmed." He gestures towards Jixxe, "Agent Jixxe will direct you to where we took the children and servant we've found. Please follow him." Nodding towards Jixxe he mouths 'Thank you' then heads back through the rooms where the acid wax zombies were.

Following Khardon through the mist, Seamus feels his head start to swim, and his stomach begin to grumble. His hand shaking, he grips the handle of his scattergun to have something to hold onto. Stepping out of the room, He nods in agreement with Khardon, "Yes we should." Belching loudly he waves with the other hand, towards Daniel. "You lead, I'm not feeling very well." As the other agents lead the way, Seljak follows as best as he can.

This half-gain is unlike the other constructs you have seen. Its bottom half seems to work, legs moving but the top half is fixed, one hand holding what could have been a drinks tray at one point. The other a rack of meat squares now mostly gone. It's seems to have been made for hostility. Now its trying with just its legs to smash its way past the large table to the cowing woman. If you can get past it to her, and lead her back out again. You could save her with out a fight.

Khardon knew that he was not the most acrobatic of investigators present. The idea of a dwarf like him tumbling and sliding? Why, someone might mistake him for a burly halfling! No, he had his own set of skills. He took careful aim and fired a single shot at the construct, aiming to hit right behind the knee. He didn't believe that doing so would destroy the construct, but he could knock it off balance and slow it down. And from there, another, more nimble companion, could more easily get to the woman and get her to safety before they could be caught.


Its slowed and also stops what it is doing, it slowly turns to face you now. As other shots pings off him

Stumbling out of the fog in just enough time to see the odd giant wax thing attacking the table, Seljak's eyes widen, "Hey you're not supposed to destroy personal property. That makes me mad!" As the others fire their weapons, Seljak realizes there is someone else in the room, so he dares not fire the shotgun. Following the enlarged Daniel, Seljak rushes forward drawing his flail, swinging it at the odd wax contraption.

Warlock Bones, who is always keenly aware of the most pressing issue of the moment, offers his own form of reassurance to the lady.

Noting that his friend and colleague has decried doing more property damage to defeat the enemy, and that he is looking noticeably less hearty than usual, he steps forward to cover for him.

With the attacks the leg comes of the construct. And it falls over, and it stops moving and powers down.

The woman hugs Bones.

"He has gone mad, I was trying to fix the controls and he smashed them, he's mad, mad I say!"

She looks in shock, you note behind her was some kind of controls, now smashed to bit.

Seeing he construct fall to the ground, Seljak releases the rage. Raising an eyebrow as the woman hugs Agent Bones, he pauses waiting to hear who smashed he controls.

"Master Willicks the wax sculptor sir. I was hired by him a few mouths ago to help craft his wax horrors of delight. He promised we would be famous. He had gold lots of gold and his artfulness was amazing. I did but build the construct internals. This was ment to be our big show, where all the lords and ladies would see our art. And fund his Hall of hall of wax horrors of delights. He went off to have the meeting but then came back full of fear and rage, and he smashed the controls and ran off."

The controls are broken and seem to be very basic, inf-act they could not be the means by which the was golem was controlled

Khardon took a deep breath at the information. "It seems that we have a solid lead. Now, do ye know where he stormed off too, and who might he have been talking to before he became to angry that he destroyed the controls?"


"Some lords sir, the ones who where as he said, going to invest, I don't know where they had the meeting, no Im wrong he said The tower, they would meet in the tower."


Scratching his head, Seljak looking very confused asks, "So who were we chasing and how did we end up here?"

These are to basic of controls for manual control. Something else is up. Jixxe states after looking at the remainder of the controls. This takes more than mechanical ingenuity to make it function.
Jixxe proceeds to dismantle and remove some of the gears, pocketing those things that he can easily fit with in his clothes.

Yep she is under a charm, its some kind of mind completion/Illusion magic

She blushes,

"Well he is my...well you know my love, he is so hansom and cleaver. You know what they say about Tiefling but he is nothing like that. And the master has shown him all of his art, because he likes him as well."

She looks dreamily off into the distance thinking about him.

Daniel looks at the woman for a few moments detecting evil. He then says "It sounds like we should be looking for Helldrick. Do you know which direction or where he headed to?"


Pointing back into the hallway, Seljak asks, "Was that you running around out there or was that Helldrick?"

She's under some sort of charm!Illusion or mind completion I can't tell for sure which. Whatever she does don't let her get away. Jixxe says in a rushed and excited voice.


She is not evil

"Running? no I have been working here trying to fix my controls. Helldrick? He was with the master Willicks putting in place the last wax works that was some hours ago"

It was obvious to see what Warlock Bones was thinking. This woman was obviously a talented inventor. If he could get her to create useful devices for him, at reasonable rates, he'd be pleased as punch. Even more pleased if some of them actually worked. He was just slipping out another business card when... "Wait. What do they say about tieflings?" His tone is cold, and somewhat accusatory. "This tiefling was concerned for your lab safety." His tone softens, but only slightly. "But, I suppose I can forgive you, if Jixxe is right, and your mind isn't entirely your own. Yes, that must be it."

"It's like if I repeated some of the stuff I hear old Faust saying about dating humans, "oh they only want you for your blood," "oh they'll wither and die before 100 years have gone by and leave you alone." Racist old man."


She then looks puzzaeled.

"Now I come to think about it, I can't remember Helldrick's face, why is that I was just.... Sorry my head is all fuxzzy. Master Willicks had organised the investors meeting with the lords Helldrick wanted to get more money from. Then master Willicks came in here and smashed the controls, Then I? I...."

As his brain churned at a millimeter a minute, Seljak noticed her shoes. "Miss..." Realizing he hadn't caught her name, "I'm sorry what was your name?" Pointing at her shoe. "You may want to change your shoes, at least that one. It has acid on it and after all that you've been through, I wouldn't want you to get burned." He pauses a moment again not the sharpest tool in the shed. "Um if you were in here how did you get acid on your shoe?"

I am not understanding: Something odd, the controls seem to have been set so that the wax construct in her could attack the one at the controls. Then they seem to have been smashed.
Are you just saying that the construct with destroyed consoles was set to attack its controller?
Or does the "girl" also have some sort of smashed controls on her?
Not completely understanding. Please clarify.

She said Master Willicks came in and distoryed the controls but that can't be what happened, she must have set them so the thing in the room with you would attack who ever was at the controls 'her' and then she must have smashed them herself.

1: She has a false memory
2: She seems to have tried too kill herself in a bizar way.

Q if she did not set this up, what was someone trying to make this crime scene look like if you could control someones mind like this. If the think had killed her, it would have looked like she had killed herself before you could have got to her. Someone set her up?

'Jixxe said she's under some sort of charm or compulsion. It must be the work of one of her accomplices. The instructors told us to get as much information about accomplices from the witnesses. She said she can't remember what he looked like. What else...' Furrowing his brow deep in thought Seljak asks. "Ms what do you remember? Perchance the location of the laboratory the wax figures were built? Possibly Helldrick's address? Maybe his shoe size?"

Helldrick is a tiefling she made that part clear.....pauses Jixxe , no offense Bones He pauses for a momement before going on...The angle of these controls is wrong. They would have killed whomever was working in the control area. Also, piecing things together, it would have been a rather bizarre way of killing herself. BUT if she was set up, perhaps by an "accomplice" with the intent to make it look like a suicide or make us end our chase here... Perhaps they wanted us to think mind control was the goal. I think we need to find Helldrick. Jixxe states in a thoughtful manner. But what to do with her.... he pauses again thinking, perhaps a quick jolt or slap to her head would remove the magical blockage? We can't just leave her and she is so far the only link we have to Helldrick. I wouldn't think she'd be good to leave outside either. what to do? what to do?

If we keep her with us, then the enchantment might just wear off by itself."
