As the smoke clears, Seljak enters the courtyard with the other agents. Checking the large crates to make sure there were no more threats he uncocked the 'coach gun' and let it hang behind his right hip. Nodding in agreement at Lazastahd's observation about the boxes, he chuckles as the dark elf and light elf began chatting. It still amazed him that in all of this chaos how they casually went about doing their jobs, Seljak hoped some day he could be 'professional' like that.

Looking up from the boxes, he hears Daniel's observation about bodies in the ballroom and investigating. Pausing, Seljak started thinking about what he learned about investigations: Get the scene roped off to prevent evidence from being spoiled, tag and number said evidence, collect evidence ... evidence. Turning towards Khardon he asks the dwarf, "Khardon sir, should we go back and continue investigating the wax foot prints?" As he asked he began to walk back the way they came.

Khardon put a finger in his ear and wiggled it around to make the ringing stop. "Not a sir. I work for a living." He answered. "But aye, let's do that. What matters most is that we find out who made these. I trust everyone here knows how to not spoil a scene."

"So footprints and then dead people in ballroom. I'm not very good with either, but let's go."
While the group tries to find and maybe follow the footprints, Iryani tries to remember the floor layout and find a way into the ballroom.

Smiling and nodding at Kardon, Seljak responds "Not a sir, yes...S...um, officer Dourstone." While Warlock Bones and Jixxe go about there separate styles of scientific observation, Seljak nods his head at Iryani. Then returns to the room he entered the courtyard from and heads down the hallway where the wax footprints lead, pausing and stiffing the air as he goes.

Wanting to follow the steps, no doors are visible in the hallway.

Khardon passed the cloth to Iryani. ”Possible evidence. When we have the chance, check it out with Bones. Between the two of ye, if there is something to know we’ll have it figured out.” While there were other good candidates for the job, Khardon wanted their heads in the present. Iryani’s knowledge was best put to use, and Bones…if there was anyone who could think (and look) outside of the box, it was him. He slapped Seljak on the back (it was too hard to reach the shoulders) as he went with the orc towards the next room.

Waiting patiently as Jixxe tests the door and looks under it, Seljak smiled as the ratfolk quickly engineered a looking device and identified what was keeping the door locked. As Jixxe begins to remove the bar from the door, Seljak lifts his double barrel shotgun to his hip, gripping it with both hands.

Seeing the two guardsmen, he begins to lower his weapon until they waive their daggers at the two agents. Cocking the hammers on the shotgun, Seljak looks at Jixxe and smiles a very toothy smile. "Leave it to watchmen to bring knives to a gun fight." Looking back at the two, he gestures the shotgun towards their knives. "You put yours away and I'll do the same." Knowing Khardon would know what questions to ask these two, Seljak hopes they do as requested so they could take them to the old dwarf. "Then we'll go talk to Khardon."

He places a large green hand on Nuck's shoulder. "Your right, this is our investigation. Watching the two members of the watch, Seljak clinched his fists but did nothing. He'd done more talking in the last two minutes than he had all day. He knew he wasn't good at it, but he and Iryani was here and these two witnesses had information. And he had failed to get it. Shaking his head, he remembered another part of investigations was identifying peoples features. So he closed his eyes trying to commit their features to memory.

As the two guardsmen headed to the door, Seljak looked at the light elf. "It will be ok Iryani, I've committed their features to memory, Agent Khardon will know their names, even without a badge number we can put them in our report." He shugs, "It would have been easier if they just answered a few question." Sejak blinked, What would I have even asked... "Tell me what you saw" I think that would be right.'
