I was a little confused by the "Bangs", as well. I would have recognized a "Tap" as the sound of the woodpecker more easily, I think.
An aside, I'm curious what our token human thinks of their companions for this bounty.

The token human is rather wary though being a man of few words and having taken on the wilds, the snow, (cos he's morphed to a ranger), he keeps his thoughts to himself.... After all he hasn't discovered the orc tiefling yet ....
You can remove Jacknife from the list of characters now ...
He is in awe of the swashbuckling tengu pirate so had best not join in.....
Although I'm worried about Shayla with a bunch of reprobates roaming the ruins of a cyclopean civilisation.
Oh and I have a Hero Point to give to someone who deserves it!!!!!

Yep, it's Znobe now, when I saw where it's located in the Realm of the Mammoth Lords, it's much closer to his home, (and we had enough fighters), so changing seemed the right thing to do ... he being sent to hot places ...nooooooo!
Especially as he'd finished the other quest just hours before. He had to leave quickly as he wanted to get out of the way of lots of strange thrown canisters full of dangerous materials. What is it with the little green folk!!!!

the closest I ever came to dying was having to burn my hero point to not die... I thought I was going to have to get a second chance boon to save Shayla... 3 gobbos this time... btw, is anyone interested in running this for me? I've run it 6 times but I've never played it! :)

Unfortunately I've too much on to run another game, Got to prepare for Troubles in Otari, still running another deadly scenario ... hee..hee.. and playing in Malevolence + this ....

I tend not to buy the Quests/Bounties, Paizo have had enough of my hard earned cash with APs and PF scenarios.
I think Catastrophe's Spark is pretty hard, although the party should be OK ... It's not properly killed off anyone yet, well not in the previous run through. I mean characters have decided to fall asleep and be lazy...or should I say go unconscious... but not actually die.
It's my RL group that tends to die a lot, 2 TPKs in The Fall of Plaguestone ... one was very unfortunate ... the other they were silly.
In The Slithering ... they've all survived so far, but the fighter did come close, only 1 hit away from perma-death.

As per the Organized Play Foundation Community Standards, each player must decide if they will allow their characters to be damaged by friendly fire (usually via splash damage).

If nobody has an alchemist (or doesn't generate splash damage) then it's not an issue. But I need to remind everyone that damaging a PC who doesn't give consent will generate infamy.

I'm okay with taking a little bit of splash damage. I'm a sorcerer with noxious vapors, so in my case you can get hit by my area effect as well.

Good news it's not covid and I've now get penicillin and other medications, so I am feeling a lot better than I have been. Last night was the first night I actually got some proper sleep, so hoping for the same tonight. So things are looking up and hoping a full recovery is on the way, if you're still going I'll be back after Xmas.
