Hard mode is fine by me.
We're supposed to use our regular PCs (levels 5-6) for 7-12, right?

Per sanctioning of Dawn of Frogs, any PFS PC for the chronicle.

Well because the level boundaries are now closer, it's better for all our characters to be at the same level... :)
So what do you think about 07-09 (apart from getting murdered by the dice)? Doesn't it feel like a Series 2 Quest?
Dawn of the Frogs - the box says to use the pregens (valeros, Ezren, etc). But like the BegBox we can go ahead and ignore that. You can if you like, or roll up a new lvl 1 or use a playtest. But if you're going to use a playtest, I'm going to assume you know what you're doing :)

I do have a level 1 Thaumateurge I wanted to try out, I can use her in Dawn of the Frogs.

I'm confused. Is 7-12 4xp or 2xp? If its 2xp how does it matter to use our regular lvl 6 characters? Dawn of Frogs is 4xp. A difference of 2xp won't really change anything?
GM Tiger

7-12 is 4 XP.
IIRC Stitch and Bun Bun are both 8 XP short of 72 XP (Lvl 7)? Which why we're doing 2 in-between games to get both of you up to 7 -- the newer scenarios don't span 4 levels anymore. So no 5-8 or 7-10. The level boundaries are smaller now (5-6 and 7-8).
Clover has 72+
Vardarel and Roark are at 72
Bella needs 3-4 XP more I think

Yes, I'm at 68 XP right now.
Stitch Steeltoe

Ok.
Yes, also at 68 xp right now. I may have miscalculated earlier to be only 64... Confirming with Organized Play it indeed is currently 68.
So that being said, I could play Stitch in 7-12 and/or Frogs.
GM Tiger

Well we won't need Frogs if you're only one short.
Question now is how many XP Bun Bun has...

If you've watched the Knights of Everflame series on Geek and Sundry (during the release of PF2e), one of the players has a similar 'rage' as Agnes. :)

Expert in Lore: Underworld (INT)(Additional Lore): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
Did they do away with all the smuggler and underworld lore stuff? Aka the -1 task level vs -2? Its been a while since I've played Junior.
Experienced Smuggler: Feat 1: General/Skill: Prerequisites trained in Stealth
*PFS Note Allows you to always Earn Income with the Underworld Lore with tasks of your level -1 (instead of the normal level -2).
You often smuggle things past the authorities. When the GM rolls your Stealth check to see if a passive observer notices a small item you have concealed, the GM uses the number rolled or 10—whichever is higher—as the result of your die roll, adding it to your Stealth modifier to determine your Stealth check result. If you’re a master in Stealth, the GM uses the number rolled or 15, and if you’re legendary in Stealth, you automatically succeed at hiding a small concealed item from passive observers. This provides no benefits when a creature attempts a Perception check while actively searching you for hidden items. Due to your smuggling skill, you’re more likely to find more lucrative smuggling jobs when using Underworld Lore to Earn Income.

The text for the feat has changed for remaster and since the name is the same it is treated as errata. You should use the new feat text.

Note it no longer has the text about being able to find more lucrative jobs.

ok, so even if you play PBB with 07-12, you'll still need 1 more.

wow. and to think you're in hard mode...
So Halgur, is PBB going to get the Chronicle for Once in Whispers?
Faehild
|
Yeah, but we have an opponent that this group can deal with.
Faehild has her choice of Bludgeoning, Piercing or (if needed) Slashing via weapon.
Agnes just wrecks things when she hits.
Kyra can heal her allies and harm the opponents at the same time. Sure her focus spell isn’t going to do much, but everything else works great against undead.
I think only Nilaglade is really hurt by the resistances.
This group has a fair amount of combat ability, it is the skills that we have trouble with.
Nilaglade

Yes, my damage options are slashing and piercing. And casting spells triggers reactive strikes a plenty.
But that's okay, I don't have to be the star of every battle.
Vardarel

I heartily approve of it! With the proper training, it works well on demons and devils as well.

Oh good. he only needs 4 XP. then if you play 07-12 with PBB you should be up to speed.

Thanks for running that Froggy, was a nice change to pace to play a new character/class.
*Edit: Chronicle received, looks good!
Well, you can try the lvl 5 Kyra and apply the credit to Stitch if you like. End result is the same (you can't use Stitch anywhere else though)...

oh, part 2 is a bit more serious... it's mostly combat now.
Faehild

Working on leveling Faehild for the next part.
Need to decide if I buy the reinforcing rune now or wait for a special shield. I will be applying GM credit to her on Monday. It would take until partway into 6th level to have the money for the shield I am looking at but buying the rune would delay that by an additional session.

Back in my day we didn't have those fancy 'reinforcing runes'. You bought your sturdy shield and you liked it!
Stitch Steeltoe

Stitch's coffers are getting pretty heavy, hope I can find some good purchases at level 7. Hard to spend much on gear when I can't outfit Meat Wagon.
Stitch Steeltoe
|
I've mostly moved away from using a shield since I get have the feat that gives me +1 cover bonus while on Meaty.
Boosting his pistol damage and armor when available seem to be the only viable options with skill boosts.
Some sort of consumables would probably be a good idea.

Since you use a gun, might look at the Energized Cartridge as a way to add damage.
I like it on my Investigator (who uses a hand crossbow) as a way to do persistent damage as I can usually guess if it will be a critical hit or not.

That's definitely a better option on an investigator than my poor aiming inventor for the persistent damage. It would be a nice fail-safe though for needing an attack of a certain energy type on demand. I like that its not ammunition so its always available with just a free action.
Overall I think I'll just save up as lots of nice, but expensive, things are available in the next few levels.
**As far as marching order goes I put Stitch/MW near the front but if Bella and Faehild would rather be closer to the action I can drop back to the middle with my ranged options on both characters.
