So I had only directed on hammer to attack so far. I’ll take a move action to stop that hammer from attacking. The second hammer had no target anyway. As a standard action I’ll use my boon to cast invisibility.
Toral makes the hammer stop and then becomes invisible.

"Pathfinders, time to go. We need to rethink this."
Orst will move cautiously back to the stairwell and start down.
"We will all end like Trill, brave Trill, if we don't fight smart."
on phone, movement help would be appreciated. Double move to and down stairs 40 feet please.

With Fox using vanishing trick (or even his stealth at this point) and Toral invis, you can pretty much make good your escape - they are looking for that pair, and not too concerned by the rest of you - by the time they realise Toral and Fox have disappeared you will all have cleared off
Toral leads the Pathfinders away from the Harpies who seem intent on waiting for Fox and Toral who seem to be the ones posing the greatest threat. They ignore you as you flee, seeming only to reposition to ensure that they cut off where they expect Toral and Fox to emerge from.
You make it back to town safely and begin recovering from the battle (and plan on sourcing supplies) but some time later there are reported sightings of four flying figures disappearing off into the distance away from the temple and away from the township.
Subsequent investigation suggests they have abandoned their lair.
They don't connect you with the sword, and all they know is that a group of hard to kill people have launched a raid on their lair - then after popping in and out of invis have apparently managed to vanish yet again and effect an escape. As they are intelligent creatures they probably aren't keen on sticking around and being destroyed
It's a miss on the encounter, but a win on the overall scenario - you probably need to return the sword to Absalom though to avoid them being lured back in weeks or months to come
Tiny fox |
Is it possible to search the abandoned building, now that the harpies have left?
Fox indeed used its final ki point to vanish when needed and bail like heck out of there.
The animal is showing less smiles after the loss of the songbird, and for the time to come, it travels close to Lissa in some attempt to show moral support.

"I am not sure I like these assassination like tasks. Yes, they are evil monsters, but they did not provoke us. I am more the protecting type not, the looking for trouble type. Well, that really was not great." Then he remembers Lissa and how thoughtless his words were.
Orst walks over and kneels down next to Lissa, "I am truly sorry for your loss. Trill was loyal and brave. I hope my words filled with disappointment did not offend you. I would sincerely like to avenge Trill, but I don't think we should have had to put Trill in that danger in the first place. I am sorry."
Toral Kargar |
Toral shakes his head.
“I … I am really sorry!! Lissa saved me!! I could not redo the favor!!“

Lissa retrieves Trill's body as she makes her escape with the others. That evening she holds vigil over her limp form, washing the blood away and smoothing the fur of her cat-shaped body.
The next morning at dawn, as Lissa prays to Shelyn to restore beauty to the world, her hands begin to glow. As she lays her hands on Trill's lifeless form, the wounds begin to heal and slowly, her eyes flutter open.
Tears form in Lissa's eyes as Trill sits up and begins to clean herself, licking a paw and rubbing her face. "You know I would not leave you long, dear. You still have a lot to learn about being a champion of The Eternal Rose."

Yay! A great use of the ability and a touching end to the scenario!
A simple retrieval mission turned into a sticky web of relationships spiced heavily with curses. Now holding the fabled sword, the party returns to Absalom, delivering the weapon to Venture-Captain Shevala Iorae.
With an angry hag and a vengeful harpy on the loose, Shevala has a lot to think about and plans to make for the future - but that is another tale for other Pathfinders.
