Iseph once again attempts to dazzle the Ettin with his masterful ability at stealth.
trick attack, stealth: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23
He jumps over the railing and moves atop the crates and surprisingly still doesn't manage to keep the Ettin's eyes off him.

He takes the shot anyway.

Thanks for the bot, GM.

Navasi blinked. It felt like her head was packed with insu-foam. The glimmer of residual elevator rainbow still sparkled at the edges of her vision. Her thoughts were... syrupy.

"Keep the giant pinned in there!" she called to her companions, firing a round of her pistol. (Get 'Em)

Starship Actions ; Live Exploration Extreme!

  • DC16 Reflex: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19 ; Dwinite conjures up a layer of grease under Borgorbago but the ettin stays on his feet!!
  • Iseph moves in closer moving across the top of the crates and lands another hit for 6 points of damage!!
  • Obozaya fires off a couple rounds but both shots miss!!
  • Velloro lands a solid hit, dealing 10 points of damage to the ettin!
  • Navasi's shot misses as it hits the crate providing cover rather than the ettin himself!

    GM sees crits:
    1d20 ⇒ 10

The same head that was earlier distracted looking at Iseph again seems distracted. Then you see a look of realization wash over its face. And then you see it growing angry... but not at the party. Rather, it gets angry at the other head!!

It yells at the other head, "Borgor, I can't believe you...! I mean we're brothers!! You cast a charm spell on me?!?!"

The head that is, presumably, Bago harasses Borgor by slapping Borgor with his free arm. Bago head butts and gnashes his teeth at Borgor, kicks at his shins, and so on.

Each of you struggle to recall ever seeing such a display where a two-headed sentient being enters into a civil war with itself...

"Okay! Okay!!! I surrender! I surrender!!!" declares Borgor as he drops all weapons.

    Combat Concluded!!!

    Current status:

  • Velloro (–4 to Int/Wis/Cha-based ability/skill checks/saves)
  • Dwinite (–4 to Int/Wis/Cha-based ability/skill checks/saves)
  • Navasi (–4 to Int/Wis/Cha-based ability/skill checks/saves)

    -------------------

Borgor stews in silence while Bago speaks, "I'm sorry about our actions. We surrender and submit to any sentence dictated by the law."

Bago happily accepts any form of restraints imposed by the party and even helps to bind and gag his brother’s mouth.

Once restrained to the party's satisfaction, Bago in a bashful tone asks, "So I know you'll have to take us in to the authorities and that's fine. But please, do you happen to have any information about a friend of mine? Her name is Livewire." At the mention of Livewire's name, Borgor rolls his eyes.

Bago then provides a thorough, complete description of Livewire... down to her soft eyes. His description matches exactly the Livewire you met in the prison colony.

What would the party like to say or do to Borgor and Bago?

    -------------------

And now that Borgor and Bago have been subdued, there is just one more area to explore up north where you see a big hatch on the map. Feel free to interact with Borgor and Bago but I'll also initiate this scene in parallel.

Walking down the steps to the north, the party hears the electric hum of a powered computer console echoing throughout the bowels of this recessed chamber. A series of thick cords attached to the console connect to a large, gorecovered hatch. The hatch firmly seals against the room’s rough stone floor. Several vents surround the hatch, each spewing forth gouts of miasmic exhaust and emitting angry whistles at irregular intervals. Your sensors indicate that the odd signal you've been tracking is coming from down below beyond the hatch.

The computer console’s screen rapidly scrolls through a series of blueprints, plans, and schematics that hint at a larger substructure beyond the closed hatch. The party downloads this information to a connected datapad or other storage device without difficulty. It also appears the computer provides controls to open and close the hatch but this will require a bit of hacking...

    DC15 Engineering or Physical Science:
You identify the hatch as being constructed of pure adamantine. Breaking through it, although theoretically possible, will be extremely difficult.

DC12 Engineering or Computers to further examine the computer:
Due to the complexity and alien nature of the computer, it is obvious hacking into it will not be easy. However, you deduce that using your remote link to the mainframe on the surface will grant you a significant amount of processing power to execute the hack! You've gained a significant bonus to your subsequent hacking attempt!

When ready, please go ahead and throw out a Computers roll specifically to attempt hacking the computer! Unless, of course, the party doesn't want to attempt opening the hatch. The party has gathered enough information to report back to Luwazi.

    Male NG Ysoki Technomancer 4 | SP 20/20 HP 22/22 | RP 6/6 | EAC 17; KAC 17 | Fort +1; Ref +4; Will +4 | Init: +3 | Perc: +4, SM: +0 | Speed 40 ft. | Spells: 2nd - 1/3, 1st - 2/4 | Active conditions: None.

    Physical Science DC 15: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29
    Computers DC... 12: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30

Time to very defnitely avoid the blackjack tables.

"No way we're bashing our way through that, unless you've got a battering ram made of pure adamantine. Bet it would make a nice bell, though. Anyway, let me see what I can do with this."

    Computers: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (11) + 13 = 24 plus significant bonus

Dwinite is too engrossed in the hacking to discuss what to do with Bob².

    Male NG Android Ace Pilot Operative | SP 24/24 HP 28/28 | RP 6/6 | EAC 19; KAC 19| Fort +1; Ref +8; Will +4 | Init: +6 | Perc: +9, SM: +0 | Speed 40ft , Fly 30ft | Active conditions: None.

Iseph, looking for a nook, cranny, anything to use in his stealth attempt just stops and watches the two heads fighting.
I have seen a lot of odd things but I think this has to top them all..."

After the evil twin is restrained, "Ah. We met her. She is in prison."

After watching Dwinite's magnificent hacking, "Impressive. Here, add this heuristic engine to line 275 and I think that will enhance the code slightly."
    Auto aid computers

    "Obozaya" Female N Vesk Mercenary Soldier 4 | SP 32/32 HP 34/34 | RP 5/5 | EAC 21; KAC 23 | Fort +5; Ref +4; Will +2 | Init: +7 | Low Light Vision; Perc: +0, SM: +0 | Speed 35ft | Active conditions: None.

"Do your job eggheads. Obozaya, doesn't like pressing buttons with all the confusing symbols on them."

Starship Actions ; Live Exploration Extreme!

Bago replies to Iseph, "Livewire is alive?!? Please forgive me and my brother! Please! Take us to Absalom, turn us in so that we can take Livewire's place on Varos!"

Working together, Dwinite and Iseph use the mainframe's raw processing power to successfully hack the console. A series of clicks emanates from the hatch as it unlocks!

Opening up the hatch and looking down, you see the melted remains of two bodies. Searching around in those remains, the party finds a credstick containing 1,500 credits, three mk 2 serums of healing, a carbon steel curve blade with an entangling fusion seal (6th level), and a mk 2 ring of resistance.

Beyond the bodies, a passageway leads further into darkness... a lot further....

The party may continue to interact with Bago or Borgor but this pretty much brings us to the end of the scenario!! Congratulations!!

Back on Absalom, during the debriefing, Luwazi graciously thanks the party for your efforts on Salvation’s End and indicates that future exploration of the moon needs to wait as some other priorities have surfaced. However, Luwazi heaps praise upon the party for a mission well done and is excited to discuss future opportunities with you, if you so desire.

Future Starfinder Society missions are sure to explore the interior of Salvation’s End. For now, the party should take satisfaction that your discovery of such an immense and unexplored location is sure to get the attention of countless organizations — not to mention catapult the Starfinder Society back onto the galactic stage as an organization with sole rights to explore the false moon!

Feel free to RP any final bits and I'll post up chronicle logistics in the discussion thread!

    Male NG Ysoki Technomancer 4 | SP 20/20 HP 22/22 | RP 6/6 | EAC 17; KAC 17 | Fort +1; Ref +4; Will +4 | Init: +3 | Perc: +4, SM: +0 | Speed 40 ft. | Spells: 2nd - 1/3, 1st - 2/4 | Active conditions: None.

"Great job, everyone," Dwinite says to his teammates. "You'll all make great agents or whatever. I think I'm more cut out for my day job, though."

"Just be sure that I'm on that galactic stage too, okay?" the ysoki tells Luwazi with a wink. He pulls out a datapad, swipes in the direction of the First Seeker's, then grabs his keyboard case and heads off. She will later find a picture of Dwinite, both physically and electronically signed.

"Ha, We did good right? " says Velloro patting Dwinite and others on their shoulders

"Maybe a job of a mercenary is not that bad, working for an organization like that!"
