I have a question about the cold (and apologies if you’ve already addressed this). In the games I’ve run, and most of the ones I’ve played in, characters/creatures with cold resistance don’t have to worry about the effects of cold whether until/unless it’s cold enough that they could actually take damage from it, but (afaik) there’s no clear ruling from paizo about how that’s supposed to work… how are you handling that for this game?
Encounter Maps | Geographic Map | Treasures | Important NPCs
Hm, that is a good question. My general thought is that it blocks the nonlethal damage you get from hot (for fire) or cold (for, well, cold) environmental effects. Meaning that usually, they won't get hit by it at all, even if they fail the save. There's a 1/6 chance that characters with cold resistance 5 would take the nonlethal each time they fail the Fort save vs. cold, which would hit them with the fatigued condition as well.
Does this sound reasonable to everyone? It's mostly just my head-rules for this stuff. Of course, since you're probably not going to be spending hours at a time outdoors in the cold, it probably won't be quite as problematic as it might be in, say, Kingmaker or Ironfang Invasion.

I've never played a Pathfinder game where extreme temperature rules came into play, but your head-rules sound the same as what my DM used for a 3.5 game set in the jungle.
Okay, let's see if there's a pearl of power (1st) or cloak of resistance +1 available!
Pearl of Power 75% chance, low is good: 1d100 ⇒ 82
Cloak of Resistance 75% chance, low is good: 1d100 ⇒ 64
Okay, looks like I'm getting a snazzy new cloak. Do I need to roll for a scroll of lesser restoration?

Correction that may affect everyone: I was wrong about the wand prices. For some reason I had it in my head that a fully charged wand of a L1 wizard or cleric spell is 700 gp, but it's actually 750. So the CLW wand is 150 gp per person, not 140, and the shield one is 250 per person, not 233. Sorry for the error.
Also, GM: if Elyda gave us the ring of climbing, did she also leave us the scrolls of cause fear and comprehend languages, and the wand of longstrider?

I'd say she kept the first scroll and the wand, because those would come in handy against the cultists, while the second scroll wouldn't help as much.

I figured Elliot would carry the shield wand since he's most likely to need it at a moment's notice. Just remember, if we have time to prepare for a fight, he should hand it off to Thesius before he or Verene use it, since Thesius needs to spend a few rounds to activate it and the duration is only 10 rounds. And, you added the two magic weapon scrolls we already had to your inventory, yes?
Also, I don't know that this will affect your purchasing decisions, but the standard price for a scroll of a 2nd-level spell is 150 gp, not 125 gp. The wands also cost a bit more than I originally thought, as described above.

Yeah, I feel your pain :( Usually when I make a cleric I just don't bother with the feat. Especially without lifelink, I see channel as more of an out of combat healing tool. In combat, usually when I do need to channel, which is quite rare, I can either position myself to negate healing most enemies or the group can focus fire one target enough to where it benefits us more. It does suck however when you come into the rare situation like this where you have a lot of injured npc's along with injured enemies and the party itself is fine.
Incidentally, Legendary games made a modern rework of the cleric where they based channels on wis and built selective channel into it inherently at the cost of removing spontaneous cure conversion (instead spontaneous cast goes to the domain spells, with the reworked healing domain still having the healing spells if you want them). That's a pretty awesome design/rework I still hope to play someday.

Selective Channeling is a handy feat to have when you need it, but when you don't, there're quite a few more consistent feats to take. The cleric in my other game took it, but she's also more Charisma focused than Merixia. In part, that's 'cause it's Hell's Rebels, where Cha helps a fair bit more.
Nevertheless, I hear you.

@GM: Yeah, I would definitely want more Cha in Hell's Rebels. I figured I could safely dump Cha and take a racial penalty in WotR, we have Thesius and now Azira for the Diplomacy checks. Merixia smites the wicked and heals the not-wicked, that's her job. :P It's weird that Hellspawn have a Cha penalty when devils are supposed to be all about tempting people to the dark side, but I'm not complaining. Ouch! Yeah, I remembered with the dretches the other day but forgot here. Will do better in the future.
Azira, Verene is no good at Sense Motive, but she's maintaining concentration on keeping detect fiendish presence up as a 60' cone in front of her until further notice, so we will know if one of them is possessed, a transformed demon, or a much higher level demon-lord-servant than any of them seem to be. Also, their behavior doesn't seem that suspicious for traumatized noncombatants forced into fighting by demons much stronger than they are. No guarantees, of course.

Not on Verene's mind right now, but before we forget: is there anything useful on the quasit Elliot killed?

Hm, might be a few teeth or a tongue, though. She wanted to start a collection!
More seriously, no, she had nothing of value.

Apologies for the delay. I did not wind back up in my hotel pretty much until this morning so I'm running a bit behind. I'll be back home tonight though and will have plenty of time to get caught up.

Sorry again for the delays. I did not wind up home until about 2 this morning. Was spending time with the family making sure everything was good.
I'm getting caught up today and a post will be forthcoming. Thanks for the patience.

It was good. Just long. I wound up sleeping most of yesterday to help with the fatigue.

General magical trapfinding is still a bit out (Four levels), but I do plan on having Thesius pick up a Aram Zey's Focus next level so he can still have the ability to attempt them in the meantime. Even give himself a bit of a boost on the checks.

@Merixia- is your shield light or heavy? Heavy shields are tricky for casters but with light shields you can hold something with your shield hand, which means you can temporarily pass your weapon to that hand as a free action, cast your spell, and pass it back as a free action (unless that was changed and I missed it, or our GM wants to change it).
@Everyone- I'm sorry if my posting is a little slow/spotty, I'm trying to keep up but my job is a smouldering dumpster fire.

Oof, good luck, Azira. Hope things improve for you.
Anyone have a firm decision on how to handle this unexpected development?

I hope things calm down Azira. That's never a fun spot to be in.
I was giving some time for responses, but planning on moving us forward later if none came about.
