She is offering you each 500 gold or 1 uncommon magic item of your choice.
I want to write about it... DM, I would ask you to choose this object at your discretion. I don't know the system so well on the one hand and it will be more interesting for me on the other. Let it really be a gift ))

Thanks! It would be strange to play PbP and not want to read it all. On the contrary, I'm in a pleasant anticipation - in fact, I haven't read the posts of new players yet, but I'm specifically looking for time in my schedule and waiting for more posts to pour myself a glass of chianti, put olives and cheese next to it and start reading it all with pleasure and slowly.
...But that's later, and now after 12 (or more? too lazy to count) hours of work, I will answer only the most urgent .)

Donal the Seeker |

So full reveal, I really hate how the adventure is written in this part. There is no reason at all given to motivate players to chase after saving Elturel. As written you basically just say 'Ok, lets go to hell and save them'. I tried to come up with some stuff though.
Donal - Elturel is the capital of the Tormite religion. Countless artifacts line the walls of the High Hall, sacred and significant for faith and history. You might not stand the thought of them languishing in hell to become devil's playthings. Not to mention the people you know and love. If the Hellriders could do it, why can't you also stride into hell and turn the tide there like a champion?
Do not worry, Donal has the built-in reason to go. He, as the Hidden Hand of Torm, does the dirtywork. He expects that he was put in this position by the Hound, himself, to do what he can to save Elturel. Just remember the video that is the thesis of Donal.

Maybe there is a master sage with a combat specialty who could provide some new insights.
@Mal, cool. Honestly another time I might've taken on the 37 textbook entries, but with everyone in their own narrative at the moment its a bit much. :) You mentioned you wanted to pray to Shar later, so I'll pick up there in a bit.
Donal is down.

Mentioned this before, but there will indeed be some occasions for downtime in hell. Its not going to be impossible to reach the highest tier ability for you guys.
Also regarding Donal, saw on news Mauna Loa is erupting so hopefully everything is ok.
Haha, thanks. Thankfully, I live on the major island furthest from Mauna Loa, so I am good. My friend is living on Hawaii island and is keeping us apprised. ^_^

Well, here's the thing, why would I waste the opportunity to work with a DM who is willing to allow us to do cool s@+@ NOT in a rule book? That's a rare breed.
So battle bro us.
I'm going to go the adamant plate. Is it optimal? No. But it's intrinsically Evendur.
I can always either a) pump my wisdom at 8th or b) fish for other items later.
I'll do up the post. Any NPC names I should include in the training montage?

Donal the Seeker |

If anyone sees us training and wants to join us, they are more than welcome. Else, we are more working on footwork...

I only added a caveat about interaction with dispel magic and antimagic fields. Still good? Stamped for approval if so.

@Donal/Grim. On the Battle Bros scene, I had a wacky idea (feel free to use or ignore). The battle master sage is basically a physicist. He understands medieval combat only in textbook terms such as angular momentum, torque, conservation of energy and referencing the quantum properties of materials. In other words, his guidance is completely impractical. Yet somehow, one or two of his calculations yield a more efficient way of doing things than you guys have come up with on your own.

Love it... I have just the thing. Leave it to me. I have a weird shift tomorrow which involves much sitting and waiting.

That is acceptable. Do you think that down the road, I could possibly get it blessed (or further enchanted) to give it an enchantment bonus later? Perhaps as a reward for helping a powerful being?

I like it too, and will let Grim take first crack... ^_^

Just a heads up that this Saturday will be a pretty quiet day for me (I'm usually very active on weekends). We're holding my dad's wake now that some family members can return to the United States (my uncle was waiting for Canada to return his passport while verifying his work visa) and I'll be dealing with people for most of the day.

Astrid Morchella |

At the point we hellfolk are at, about how long have we been surviving in hell?

Astrid Morchella |

No worries on anything precise. I was more wondering if it was days or weeks!

Donal the Seeker |

Hope everything is okay, buddy! Take your time! It has been hard with this whiplash to work on the computer, hence my responses have been terse at best...

Astrid Morchella |

Sorry about family stuff. I sympathize. Hope you're staying sane. (whatever your baseline of sanity looks like)

Dang Tareth, that post... XD Might take me a bit to pick up my jowls off the floor and such before I can get some response together.
Heh...thanks. Take your time, I'm in no hurry. Glad you liked it. Feel free to run with or drop whatever you like. I'm not super invested in much of it at this point, just playing around with different possibilities and trying to get a better feel for the character. Do let me know if something stretches the worldbuilding/NPC's or whatever too far.
But, I have to say, there's got to be a way for Cat to become Syrina's familiar (semi-familiar, ongoing, cameo, reluctant ally?) by the time we actually 'start' the game. She doesn't know the Find Familiar spell, but that's what smokin' scrolls is for, right? ;)

GM Infinity |

Tareth, sure. Having a cat 'companion' you include in your written posts is no problem. If you wanted the actual benefits of a familiar though (seeing through its senses, teleportation, delivering touch spells, attacking (with pact of the chain)) it would need to be mechanically included in the character build somehow. Either way, RP-wise yes it should be a result of you smoking a scroll of find familiar. ;)
If you take another warlock level Pact of the Chain is available at 6th (which will come relatively quickly actually). There's also Magic Initiate feat, or something like ring of spell storing.
I'll have some posts later today for you guys after this nutty week is over. :D

GM Infinity |

So, I've got character art for Donal and Astrid that isn't the paizo stock stuff. Would anyone else like to find an alternative character pic that better sings to the soul of the concept? I could arrange them all on an art slide, organized into one easy to view location for your enjoyment. I'm probably the only one who loves Stable Diffusion for character portraits, but there's that too. ;D

Evendur "Grim" Greymantle |

Eh... give it to one of the mercenary kids who helped me train I suppose. Preferably to a devout of the faith. The Lord of Bones was a mercenary during his mortal days. It would please him.
If there is a shrine or such here to my diety? (Dont think there is) then to one of the guards there.

Astrid Morchella |

My dad's wake is today and I have to host *many* people today, so I'm going to be pretty quiet until the evening. That being said, I'll probably want to escape and post from my phone at some point because my autistic self can't handle as many people as I'm going to have to be around so take it with a grain of salt, lol.

Simon Eltan |

Here it is, a natural 1 for IRL perception. I've been checking gameplay thread all week, but somehow I missed a post for Simon. I was already going to write to GM, but decided to double-check... Sorry ))

Astrid Morchella |

DM, Astrid's passive insight is 13. Would she pick up on the spoiler without a roll?

Lucian Faucon |

You and Syrina are close enough to meet up if you wish, or continue with solo prologues either way.
Happy to link up to start moving things along if you are, Syrina.

Kudos to the new arrivals. They've jumped in like they've always been part of the game and are churning out some great stuff right out of the gate. I look forward to our in game meeting.

GM Infinity |

Grim (and all) yes, there is an Outfitter down in the Court of Air. Regular healing potions are available for 50 gp (as well as any mundane equipment you want...they also specialize in silk robes, and anything else made of silk).
I'll go ahead and say the AL/Shared Campaign list is available as well since you missed your chance at the Friendly Arm Inn potion shop (which had every potion/oil in any DnD book ever)
Healing 50 gp
Climbing 75 gp
Animal friendship 100 gp
Greater healing 100 gp
Water breathing 100 gp
Superior healing 500 gp
Supreme healing 5,000 gp
Invisibility 5,000 gp

Appreciated. <3 You guys are great, too. I'm definitely looking forward to it. :D

Gimme a bit. Lots of long nights and short sleeps. I'm a bit fried today BUT have a big break in another 6 hours or so.
