Lowering herself to the ground, Pai sits down and rests her head on her knees. After a moment, she groggily raises her head, looking confused. "Um, I know that was a rough fight, but... Was that too easy? I mean, we found him easily enough, and that dude he was travelling with isn't here, right? So, is this a trick?"

It's at this point that she remembers the other humans. Her greeting is more subdued than usual. "Oh. Hi folks. I'm Pai. Looks like we had a common enemy. What's up? You doing okay?"

The human warriors take a knee and pant heavily.

Wiem and Noke:
You two notice that the way that the warriors fought was...odd. They seemed to move and fight unlike what you would expect. Their coordination and focus was not lacking while they raged.

When Pai addresses them, the bloodied one lifts his head to look at her.

"Common enemy indeed," he says with a gruff smile. He then points northward, "There was a human with more demons headed that way before you showed up."

Is this all happening in 7 minutes? If so, Tsuan keeps her shadow clones up.

Tsuan springs out a wand of protection from evil and casts it on herself, looking for signs that these humans are not who they claim to be or are controlled.

"OH! Desimire's a human! We gotta follow him! Thanks, guys! ... But we gotta bring back Thurl too! I suppose we could cut off his head and stuff it in my haversack. That'd be super gross, though. How would I get the smell out? Oh! Prestidigitation! Duh!" Finished thinking out loud, Pai calls to the group: "Should we cut off Thurl's head and take it with us? I only have a tiny dagger, so it'd take me forever and a day to do it."

Tsuan brandishes a keen wakizashi and severs Thurl's head and thumbs.

She reaches into her haversack and pulls out a decaying doppleganger head.

"One severed head at a time," she explains, as if that was the point of contention.

Unceremoniously dropping the old head on the ground, she throws Thurl's head (and thumbs) into her haversack.

I think if you have a +19 then a natural one activating a wand doesn't matter does it? You have to roll a natural 1 "and fail"

Floria takes a scroll from a scroll tube and hands it to Wembly.

"You seem pretty good at using that wand, could you try to cast this on Pai? The Nabasu got her pretty good and I'm sure we could use her at full strength for this Tancred fellow"

I had to send Whiskers away for a bit. But this is my new friend...how do you say your name again? Well, its ok, we will just call you Bram. That is easier. Not that I have anything against long, names, some of us gnomes have very long names. But I don't think I can say some of those sounds correctly and I do not want to insult you. So Bram you are.
