Hi GM, thanks for the clarification on the accursed hex feat. I had readied to slumber hex a shadow demon if it appears. Can I distinguish the demons so that I know if I tried it on the demon that is visible currently? If yes and this is the demon not affected by slumber before then I’ll slumber it.

If I cannot distinguish the demons or it is a demon already affected by slumber then she starts casting summon monster 5.

Note: The Bralani has DR overcome by evil or cold iron. So the physical aspect of the attacks do go get through if they hit.

With obvious malice the demon continues its assault on the being of good.

Staying out of the demon's reach, Pai draws her dagger and, as she flies by Tsuan, drops it beside her. "That dagger's cold iron, Tsuan!" Swinging back to her former position, she flings another blast of water at the demon with a shrug that's part bitter, part defeated, and a lot frustrated.

Unfortunately the only thing Floria needs to do at the minute is a caster level check which is none of those things :(

Floria tries to summon a well of power deep within herself and summon some missiles capable of piercing the demon...

D'oh! I forgot two things: To add Elemental Overflow and Point Blank Shot bonuses, and to use Noke's Fortune Hex!

So here's the corrected first roll:

Water blast (magical B) vs. AC: 1d20 + 11 - 3 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 11 - 3 + 3 = 26; 3d6 + 10 + 5 ⇒ (3, 4, 4) + 10 + 5 = 26
(Edit: Use this roll for Fortune Hex.)

And now for the Fortune Hex reroll on the attack roll:

Water blast (magical B) vs. AC: 1d20 + 11 - 3 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 11 - 3 + 3 = 17
(Edit: Don't use this roll for Fortune Hex.)

Responding to Tsuan's seven salutes, Pai gives her a nod and a wink (only one each) as she cracks her knuckles. "Ooohkay. Let's try this again." Gathering Power yet again, Pai unleashes a powerful blast of water at the shadow demon.
