The same as he is not tracking the amount of damage that we did the creature => There could be different resistances and vulnerabilities and there is self-healing so it is his way of not giving us information without us doing the recall knowledge checks.

I never give actual modifiers even on Recall Knowledges, you get the knowledge, but not the modifier.
With you not knowing the specifics, you have to make decisions on the knowledge you have on the spells you cast, etc.... And you don't know exactly how close you are to taking a combatant out of the combat .....
I hope it makes it more dangerous and exciting for you ....
Making your decisions more life or death .....
Having said that I haven't lost a character yet in PFS, although I had 2 TPKs in The Fall of Plaguestone ... a notoriously dangerous adventure ..

Yay! Paizo is back online. I picked up some rulebooks from their 25% off sale to supplement the core book. The stuff in the Advanced Player's Guide and the Guns and Gears book looks pretty nifty; I'm excited to give them a read. I know I can't use any of that stuff in organized play yet, though, because it's pretty much all uncommon.

Yep, Iustanus is correct re: certain Ancestry and Heritages only being available through ACP. Right now I believe Catfolk cost 120 (and they used to be 160 if I remember correctly).

Aha. Okay, then; sounds like my initial thought was correct. I'll have to go back through and re-read the PFS rules, but it will likely be quite some time before I have any shot at anything more than common.
