Will post in gameplay tomorrow (in the next 10-12 hours).
Suussmaar will get bit of luck, please roll all D20 dice twice after Grunjar's initiative count.

Brainstorming some ideas against this invisible enemy:
* Dispel Magic (Suussmaar) - no need to see the enemy for that, just know the square he is in
* Silence (Suussmaar)? ===> no more spellcasting (ok, mostly)
* out-heal the damage (Grunjar, Suussmaar) while the others try to take the enemy down - may not be feasible
* Obscuring Mist (Grunjar)
Feel free to share your thoughts!
Dispel Magic:
(...) You can also use a targeted dispel to specifically end one spell affecting the target or one spell affecting an area (such as a wall of fire). You must name the specific spell effect to be targeted in this way. If your caster level check is equal to or higher than the DC of that spell, it ends. No other spells or effects on the target are dispelled if your check is not high enough to end the targeted effect. (...)

Additional ideas:
* Tanglefoot Bags (Everyone!)
* Alchemist's Fire (Everyone!) - one could argue that if it deals fire damage in the following round, too, it has to stick to and burn the creature ===> flames are visible

Good ideas, Grunjar. But looks like Suus succeeded. So give me time to post, before you do.

Too late, but thanks for trying to stop me! :-)

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

I love it when characters get to use an obscure feat or ability to resolve an encounter with something other that combat to the death.

![]() |

To be honest, never thought I'd have a chance to use that feat. Glad it worked out in the end! I think Bedisa's goal in life is to find out what happened to Hats.

Awesome use of the feat and great decision GM!!! :-D

I second that. *thumbs up* ;-)

![]() |

Yes, I remember reading that feat and thinking how cool it is but I've never seen it in action before. Nice!

@GM Nomadical, thank you for a fun game!
I also have a boon (Professional Reputation) that requires me to succeed at a Diplomacy check written into an adventure or to circumvent a combat encounter. But it requires a GM signature! Is it possible to e-mail it to you to sign it and send it back?

![]() |

Thank you, @GM Nomadical and @Party, for a great game! I had fun! :-D

Hang on folks. I messed up. Out of habit I reported this and did the Chronicles under my personal event, not under PaizoCon. I'm heading out to fly from Korea to China then to the US. I'll fix them all after I land. I'll post here again after I get it done. Sorry for the mess up.
Bedisa, I have a way to do that. I'll write how in my update /correction post.

All good. Thanks

Have a safe flight, Nomadical!

Upon further review, yes, the chronicles are indeed correct. I just did the online reporting wrong. Trying to get that sorted now. Sorry for the confusion.
@Bedisa, I just made a note on your chronicle that you succeeded at a Diplomacy check towards your Professional Reputation boon, if that's okay. Your updated chronicle is here. That should be sufficient, and of course, if anyone doubts it, you could always go back into the scenario thread and in this post to prove it. You certainly succeeded with the hag, with Hats, with all the Museum staff checks, and used Call a Truce successfully which I would count too.

Chronicle looks great - hope you have safe and smooth travels and thanks again for running!

Thanks for the update!

I've got a question regarding a faction goal:
Is Chalos a divine spellcaster by any chance?
My chronicle is fine! :-D
Also Grunjar really is a scatterbrain - he forgot to roll for his day job. *facepalm*
If it is not too late: Profession: Scribe: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26

I've got a question regarding a faction goal:
Is Chalos a divine spellcaster by any chance?
Also, if yes: Is her patron an evil deity and is her CR 6 or more?

![]() |

Sorry, Grunjar but Chalos was a Rogue 5 / Wizard 3. At the higher tier she adds 3 levels of Arcane Trickster.
The fetchlings were all fighters with the Mobile Fighter archetype.
As for Day Jobs, I thought GMs were no longer putting them on the Chronicles. I know that is true for SFS and PF2 Society play, so I left it off the chronicles. You can add it yourself.

Thank you for checking - and looking up the fetchlings, too! :-)
Ok, I'll add the day job earnings of 50 gold in my chronicle (which looks good).
Thanks again - I hope I'll be able to play a character of mine in another game you run in the future!
