Struggling against Thulgrun's choke hold, Velshun desperately strikes at the keys and kicks various pedals. A quick snicker-snack from Madalena's blade and the dhampir slumps, and struggles no more. But you feel a rumbbling deep beneath the stage as pipes creak under the strain of building pressure. Something breaks within the machine and air courses through every pipe simultaneously. While it lacks the skill to conjure necromantic energies, the blast shakes the room violently. Dirt rains from the ceiling, as a large pipe breaks loose from the wall and clatters to the ground. Deep cracks form in the wall behind this missing pipe, and suddenly water sprays forth like the unfortunate hold of a sinking ship. More cracks appear. More water. Just then, a previously well crafted false wall can no longer take the strain, crumbling in an instant it. Behind it lies a pair of richly carved antique stone doors. You can hear the cascade of something like a waterfall behind the doors.

The spiral stair descends about a story then opens into a square vault-like room. Several tall bookcases occupy most of the space. A table and few reading chairs fill out the rest. An antique rug starts to unravel, almost dissolving before your eyes, in the couple inches of water that has collected so far.

Thulgrun attempts to Craft a makeshift levee to divert some of the water away from the library stairs. However, the water pressure is slightly more than he planned for and the levee breaks.

Like the others, Sten knows his strengths, such that they are. His heavy, orcish hands are made for crushing and pummeling, not handling delicate, possibly water-logged tomes. Luckily, trying find the source of the water and shore up the breach.

As the water pressure builds, Thulgrun’s dwarven stubbornness sets in, and he pounds the broken pipe closes with his forehead. Completely soaked he looks up, a little woozy for sure.

Stroime strokes his greying beard. He then opens his backpack and takes out a cloth sack. As he holds it open, he says, “All right folks, this is a Bag of Holding. I use it to store my emergency healing staff, but this should hold a fair amount of those books. Start loading them in.”

This is a type 1 bag of holding, so it carries 25 Bulk (stroime will carry his healing staff to give the full 25 bulk over to books). 25 bulk is most of the books, so we just need to account for another 5 bulk.

Upon reconsidering her approach, Madalena learns an easier way to handle the books. The bottom shelf of each bookcase has been carefully stored in the Bag of Holding. Each bookcase has 6 shelves total. Crit Success gives an additional +2 circumstance bonus on Thievery checks to move books. (these circumstance bonuses can stack, so that's +4 currently).
