Doing so would be an excellent way to shorten their own time with their head attached to their shoulders. But... the halflings have been pushing for their own noble houses... and I could see Serena making an attempt on my life."

She takes two steps back before turning around, then starts running back to the border camp, disregarding the road and weaving through the woods with almost unnatural speed.
