Shimmer gets a good angle on Yellow and splatters it to the four winds.
Yellow - standard ooze weaknesses (splash and area damage). However, although it's not immune to nonlethal, it is immune to going unconscious. Yes, it's also immune to crits (with an AC of 8)

Shimmer cleans out her gun before searching carefully. "I don't think those things were exactly natural, but I don't think they were left here intentionally, either."
She offers Scripio the acid flask. "You might get some use out of this!"
I believe he's the only one proficient with martial weapons other then herself, and Shimmer already uses a ranged primary weapon.

Scripio grabs the acid flask from Shimmer, though she has to explain twice that it's not a healing potion before the goblin ticks it away. He goes over to scrape some of the colorful goo off the floor, tasting it and then adding it to the random items he has. While they recover, the goblin sings them some scraps of tunes.

![]() |

“Don’t … take all the goo,” Mitzi interjects lamely at the goblin. “Maybe … Lily wants some too?” She looks questioningly at the tiny sprite. “All the colors would go nicely with her light, wouldn’t they?” she says, more to her rose than anyone else.

"Ugh! No way. I don't want any of that gross slime. Are you crazy or something? Anyway if I want to add color I can just use magic. Like this." The tiny faerie gestures and blue and green highlights form among her blonde locks.

GM is speechless imagining Scripio licking that gunk off the floor!
You step outside and pull the door open to the adjoining room. This room houses papers of all kinds, mostly loose folios, stacked high in disarray. A quick glance reveals them as flyers, pamphlets, brochures, and other ephemera that scholars of the era would likely find of great interest but otherwise hold little value.
This was a reading room where Shimia kept loose papers and tomes yet to be sorted. It's all collapsed, making quite the mess. The entirety of the room is difficult terrain due to collapsed piles of paper.

Scripio determines that these are origami insects (cockroaches). No particular weaknesses (PA only). However, Scripio's whip doesn't appear to affect it.

Shimmer watches the closest paper.. bug.. thing? She watches it move and readies her weapon, and--"What else is lurking down here?"
She hopes to startle it into answering with the suddenness of her question. Which usually works, if they can understand her. Then she takes the shot.

◇ Recall Knowledge. ...I have no idea what skill that would be. Occultism +12, Arcana/Crafting +10, untrained Lore +8? If Occultism and she fails but doesn't critically fail, she can roll again with her Society bonus (also +12). If she critically succeeds, she and all allies gain +1 to their next attack against Blue

These are origami insects. They're purely constructs (so they ignore your question). No weaknesses. Standard construct immunities (including non-lethal)
Shimmer shoots Blue, hitting and putting a hole in its body. It's still up and fighting, however.
Who to attack: 1d6 ⇒ 5
White suddenly takes flight and flies into Gilgamesh's face. It then tries to bite him.

"I didn't think that would work--Scripio! They aren't alive, attacking to subdue won't work!"
Shimmer realizes they are immune to nonlethal damage.

“I’ve … never heard of the cycle of life turning dead wood into undead roaches,” Mitzi marvels at the flying bits of aggressive paper. “Will … they turn into living bugs if we kill them?” With a swirling gesture she covers her body with protective pieces of sturdy bark, then pulls a thorn-tipped longspear out of her kinetic aura. With a quick thrust she stabs at the cockroach in front of Gilgamesh, then shrinks the long haft until she is just holding a wickedly sharp thorn in her hand, light and agile. All it takes is a rapid flick of the wrist to slash upward at the paper in front of her.
