Ignatius looks down at the dead wizard with a pained look on his face as he reloads his musket.
Just have to think of him like a rabid dog. It was never going to end any other way.
After checking his gear one last time, the tiefling says, "Do you think we should see if that wizard's going to honor his agreement? Or should we see if there's another wing of this place to explore first?"

Shardra the Dwarf |

"I say let's go exploring more. Who knows what else is in this place? I'd rather find our friends - or their bodies at least."

Shardra the Dwarf |

Shardra sits down with Kissan. "Hey buddy. How're you doing? Let me take a look at you.". Putting both hands on the jaguar, Shardra closes her eyes and chants briefly. Cast Remove Fear. "Feel better?"

Shardra the Dwarf |

How hurt is Hanzi? Will shoot him with my CLW a few times
CLW wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
CLW wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
CLW wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
If you need more, let me know.
Shardra lets others decide where to go but she would rather find her (maybe deceased) companions.

![]() |

Patrick offers his own wand in case it is needed. He also offers a Wand of Faerie Fire in case any other invisible opponents are encountered.
I agree with Shardra. We should find our missing Pathfinders, and the sooner the better. I am not sure I trust Daegros to keep his word
Patrick's wand has 19 charges left in it
He also offers a Cure Moderate Wounds potion.

Crowe Elberion |

Hanzi was in the negatives. His max is 92. Might need to burn some more charges.
"You can use these? Good."
Crowe hands Shardra his healing wand Cure Light Wounds, 20 charges.
The big man points a meaty thumb at Hanzi, "Patch him up."

Shardra the Dwarf |

Will use 10 charges on Crowe's wand.
10 CLW wand: 10d8 + 10 ⇒ (4, 1, 6, 6, 1, 3, 2, 7, 2, 8) + 10 = 50
Will do 2 more on Shardra's wand.
2 CLW wand: 2d8 + 2 ⇒ (6, 7) + 2 = 15
+72 HP to Hanzi! Can also channel if needed.

Kissan the Jag |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Evil in twolegs place. Leave. Must leave.
Kissan flinches as the dwarf approaches, and a low growl escapes her lips. Her eyes flick over to Edmund, who's face displays a calm assurance. She relents. The strange sounds come from the dwarf, but a calming emotion washes over her, fur standing on in.
The jaguar leaps up, and licks Shardra face before trotting back over to Edmund

![]() |

"Thank you, friend", Edmund says under his breath to the Dwarf. That is very kind of you. It is a magic that I do not have"
Kissan now back at his side, Edmund offers his agreement with Patrick. "I would rather face the other mage after we have found our companions. We may be lucky enough to have more ally's- or at worst, we know the outcome and can exact judgement."

Shardra the Dwarf |

CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
+94 HP to Hanzi. That's 14 charges of Crowe's CLW wand and 3 charges of Shardra's

"There is a blue door that we could go knock down first. We haven't explored that yet. If our missing agents happen to be behind that door, then we don't need to deal with the other wizard at all," Iggy suggests.

GM Nowruz |

Description of THIS room again.
Fresh blood splatters the white tile of this operating laboratory, which is lit by mirrored lamps hung from chains suspended in the shadows of the distant ceiling. A sturdy wooden table near the center of the room holds the lightning-charred corpse of a bald human man with a broom-bottom beard. Smaller tables and bookcases nearby hold the gore-spattered spoils of a recent battle
-
You check the corpse and realize that this is a former companion of Rozimus, slain by the claws of a large monster. He bears the glowing yellow sigil of Vuzhon on his left hand.

![]() |

While the others are debating, Patrick examines Vuzhon's symbol with a Detect Magic to see if it has other properties.
spellcraft: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (13) + 18 = 31

Shardra the Dwarf |

Shardra votes to open the door to the west.

![]() |

Iggy will examine the western door for snares before cautiously opening it.
Perception: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (8) + 19 = 27
Not that he can do anything about a trap, but it's good to know.

![]() |

Ignatis slowly opens the door and quietly slips into the next room.
Stealth: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (20) + 20 = 40

Shardra the Dwarf |

Shardra shakes her head at Crowe. "Why? Just why, Crowe?". She turns around and Ignatius more or less disappeared. "Wait, where did the tiefling go?"
She sees the door is cracked open and assumes he went in there.
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28

Retreating back into the mold of the silent, rationale, pathfinder. Edmund simply follows along with the party into the main laboratory- Kissan loping along beside him.
Perception, HA: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 11 + 2 = 16
"So, which way are we going? If the arm in the mouth technique isn't going to work, what is your suggestion Patrick?"

![]() |

Maybe we should check to see where Ignatius went. But if we find a dead body with a blue sigil on a hand, let's try that in the blue mouth and see what happens.

![]() |

I was trying to pick a direction in order to move us along. I guess no one else wanted to go through that door though.

Shardra the Dwarf |

You rolled so high on your stealth check!
"I believe he went through that door. Look how it's open a crack.".

GM Nowruz |

ini Ignatius : 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
ini Spectral Dire Tiger : 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Ignatius silently steps into the room!
D11. TOGARIN’S QUARTERS
This extravagant bedroom features a bed flanked by nightstands, two wardrobes against the walls near the center of the room, a couch and low table, and a large tiger-pelt rug.
As soon as you enter this room, the skin of the tiger animates as a shroud upon a spectral form and is looking around.
Ignatius Knowledge(Religion): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
This is a giant spectre, an incorporeal undead!!
This is a surprise round for you Ignatius, you are up with a move or standard action.

![]() |

In that case I stand corrected. For some reason I had the idea he had the hand with the yellow sigil on it Please insert it and see what happens.
His nightmare dragonette looks like it is trying hard not to giggle as Patrick steps over to the blue door to check to see if it will now open.

![]() |

Well, the good thing about guns being so noisy is that everyone is going to know combat has started.
Ignatius gets into his crane stance and then standing on one leg he reflexively fires his musket at the spectral tiger.
Musket, PbS, vs touch, defensive: 1d20 + 14 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 14 + 1 - 2 = 19
B/P, cold iron, magic: 1d12 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 7 + 1 = 14
Fighting defensively, Iggy's Touch AC will be 27; 31 with mage armor included.

GM Nowruz |

The translucent, ghostly figure fades away a little when the shot hits it.
The tiger is distorted by wrath into a hideous form and attacks.
1d20 ⇒ 12
But Ignatius can truly dodge the spectral being.

Iggy shouts out, "I have a ghost here! Can somebody tell me how to deal with it?". Ignatius continues staying in his defensive stance, but steps back and loads his musket with ghost salt treated

I made room for Crowe and Hanzi to get into melee, but keep in mind that Iggy has a 31 touch AC, so he is pretty good at tanking ghosts.

Shardra the Dwarf |

"Ah, yes. There he is." Shardra will follow the noise of gunfire.
She steps (5 ft step) so she can get a better look at the spectral tiger. "Now, there's your problem Iggy. It's a ghostly tiger. Let me see if I can help."
Standard action: Use the hex Misfortune: spectral tiger has to roll twice on all ability checks, attack rolls, saving throws, and skill checks and take the lower roll for 1 round (Will DC 18 negates)
Move action: Use the hex Chant: extend Misfortune b 1 round.

Shardra the Dwarf |

"Bah! Looks like my hex is ineffective. Lemme try another one.". She thinks a moment. "No, no, no. That wont work. Let me consult with Kolo first."
